I think it was fine, I will not say I am disappointed. Going by the trend of the series in the recent times, this was pretty much on the similar level. I wouldn't compare CID of 2010 with CID of 1998-2002 and feel disappointed. That was a different era, a different time, its a whole new world now. Issues are different, solutions are different. The truth of the matter is that with time the level of innovative thinking and passion for one's on Indian Television is not the same. Its gone down and that the only way i see it going. the best phase of Indian Television was the Golden Era of DD and that time will never come back. I accept that and don't feel disappointed any more.

Yes, the '90's was when Indian TV was young and virtuous. It was also at it's best. Karamchand, CID, X-Zone, The Zee Horror Show, Saturday Night Suspense, old Aahat etc.. were really fun and brilliant. I just miss the old times. Wish we had time machines. But then again, you can't dwell in the past.

Right, we have to accept the changing times with all the good and the bad. 10 years back when CID was at its best we had no one to share our thoughts with. Most of us had people who were least interested in what we thought of CID or what it meant to us. Today we have this platform where we have people who want to listen to us. Recollect old memories and relive those moments which have left impression on our mind when we were kids. We are lucky that we were blessed to be in the times where we saw something special, today's kids don't even stand the chance.

I have read a lot of thread with long discussions that CID is not what it was. Yes, I agree but even you and I are not what were were 12 years back. I personally find those discussions a waste of time cause it changes nothing and only creates more disappointment. Irrespective of what the change in CID standards over the years, I am glad that atleast this series is around else I would have had nothing to watch. I want to thank the CID team for being around, giving thrills, smiles and joy. God Bless the team and hope there is much more to come from them.

But what shocks me is how can the quality go down so bad so fast. It wasn't even gradual. It just collapsed.

hmmm I think its been gradual and for me it started from the time Daksh (that is why I hate him so much, I like Manav but I hate Daksh) came in, followed by the daily soapish Special Bereau and it just started to fall gradually. See the problem is earlier the creative team was working for the passion to create something new, there was passion, they had to struggle to make it a success however the new professionals have got into an already successful venture, they don't have the same level of passion, they do what they do just as a job. Also I don't think they are as talented as the old team either but that's the case with the entire TV Industry. Today we just don't have people who are talented enough. Pick any channel, any show and they are filled with talentless people on and behind the screen.

I don't think it was very special, considering their promos. They show Abhijeet getting hurt and we are in tension for a whole week and it turns out to be a woman hitting him on the head and he getting a small cut.
I expected something more serious. Of course, I am relieved that nothing happened to him, but the case was a bit deflating.

If you ask me I was really relieved it was stick and not the pin. No matter what it is but if Abhi Sir is hit on the head, I get worried especially when he goes alone without Daya Sir. I suddenly feel he is fragile and needs to be protected.

This is really an insult to Abhijeet's capability 😲 (Take it in a lighter vein)
Maybe we are all the time thinking about that one incident...his first episode, where he went alone without Daya and ended up losing his memory.
But we must have noticed that over the years, it is usually Daya who gets into trouble more number of times than Abhijeet. I have seen Daya in the hospital at least 5-6 times.
