I've not seen him slap anyone. Usually he leaves the task to Daya...
But this time it was Abhijeet and Daya wouldn't slap Abhijeet, so ACP had to do the honours.

It was a good episode...ACP, Daya and Abhijeet sit in the bureau and sing the song together, one of the nice moments.

Ever Since I read this thread I wanted to the YEH PHOOL CHAMAN MAIN KAISA KHILA case. Yeasterday finally saw it on CID Classics. WOW what an episode. Abhi Sir slapped by ACP was unimaginable till I saw it. The first time they sing the song and suddent Gaurav Gera jumps at Abhi Sir to kill him, my God. I have to say when B P Sing Sahab directs, the tempo of the episode is something else. The suspence, the trill, the excitement is something else. He just know the how to take that shot. The story was written by Shridhar Raghavan. BP Singh Sir please take over the reins of Direction again, atleast for a few episode, even one episode in one or two months will do.
Abhi Sir to kamal ke actor hain. I love the scene where he goes to the hypnotist towards the end and points a gun at him. The hypnotist thinks he is in control of Abhi Sir and orders him to lower the gun, turn back and leave. Abhi Sir turns back, smiles and gives him one of the best Non-Daya slaps ever.
Does anyone know when this episode was originally aired. Everyone was looking young, special mention ofr Abhi Sir, I felt he looked just fab.

@ bold:On contraire, Shridhar Raghuvan is what rose CID to fame. All the 1997-2005 episodes were written by him. Then came all the crappy writers. B.P. Singh has nothing to do with this. You do know that Shridhar Raghuvan is the director and scriptwriter of Johnny Gadaar.

That would be unfair to say. I don't know who the writer for EK SHOONYA SHOONYA, the Marathi crime series of 1988-89 was but I know Singh saab directed it and it was a fab series. Not every story was written by Shridhar Raghavan in 1997-2002 but were interesting and well-made. Also a great story can be ruined if not shot well. we can't take the credit away from the director and the screenplay writer.
If I am not wrong its not Shridhar Raghavan but his brother Sriram Raghavan who is the writer-director of Jonny Gaddar. As can be seen in this poster. If I know correctly, Shridhar Raghavan has written story/screenplay of 6 films - Khakee, Deewar, Bluffmaster, Apaharan, Family and the forgettable Chandni Chowk To China. So its not like he has never gone wrong, CC2C is one of the worst film I have ever seen.
Just noticed that Shridhar is on twitter, if this is authentic.
