As you all know..sometimes we need to butter up people to get things done from them...😉

it could be anyone your family members, friends, teachers, boss, colleagues etc..

So do share here

- How good you are at buttering people?

- Different ways in which you do it for the following :

Parents

Friends

Boss

Colleagues

IF members / DT members 😉

etc

- And how successful you have been? Any personal expeirence thats worked well or didnt work at all?

Also you can come up with out-of-the-box or creative ideas to make this topic interesting...😉😆😆

Not very good. Even at school or college I was never able to butter the teachers.

Parents - I don't butter my parents or even my sister. Reason being I don't have to. I get everything without even asking for it. What all I get, maybe I'll tell in some other thread.

Friends - Nope, never buttered any friend

Boss - My immediate boss is almost like a friend. And the top boss, I don't interact on a regular basis. So, no buttering on this front too.

Colleagues - Never felt the need

IF members / DT members 😉- I do tell members if I like their writing or maybe their nature. I don't consider it as buttering but some may. 😛 And I only say I like them or their post when I genuinely mean it.

I never buttered only, so it doesn't apply to me.

The topic of buttering reminds me of one incident. When I was in MSc 1st Semester I was sent a notice for poor attendance record. Can't blame them cos it was actually really poor. One of my senior who was friendly with me said that previous year the same thing had happened with him. He said that go to the HOD's office with a bottle of whiskey and everything will be fine.

I don't know whether it'd have been fine or not never tried it. Instead I went straight to the Principal's office and told him some dukh bhari kahani and got the permission to sit for my exams. 😛

^u know its really awkward to make a post and then rply to it urself....so i wanted the other members to go first....but u people are so lazy and useless ..that i have no choice!

- How good you are at buttering people? i usually maintain a gud image with everyone..and dont ask for much favors...so wenevr i do ask..its obv. something is badly needed..and i get it done easily. 😃

- Different ways in which you do it for the following :

Parents - i try to do all d work dat is expected of me.... u know pretending to be a gud daughter...very sweet, always obedient n stuff...so wen i ask for stuff i get it 😉

Friends - i dont really have to butter them much...but if ever i have to...i praise them like hell....unse acha toh is duniya mein jaise koi hai hi nahi 😉...n for close frnds i dont leave them easily...i have to bribe them like "see if you do something for me..i'll help u in some other way..." 😆

Boss - i dont butter him!...just try to finish the work on time...

Colleagues - again no buttering at all!

IF members / DT members 😉 - ya kabhi kabhi..sometimes...maybe...sometimes not...well cant disclose that! 😉

Parents.. there is no concept of "buttering" in my family. if i want something...i keep bugging them untill they say yes..or keep saying plz plz untill they get irritated...and my last weapon...emotional blackmailing😆 whenever i butter...it doesn't work. instead..i would end up doing some chores for nothing!
unless they ask me specifically to do something...only then i wud butter them by doing it!

Friends... never ever...even if sometimes i do try, ther like just like wut do u want lol

it almost always works... but i rarely do it. sometimes i just butter ppl.. not cuz i want sth.. but just to make them happy n also sometimes to get myself on their good side😆
experience.. yes recently when my cousin got married..i buttered my bhabhi/his wife..by saying how pretty she looked n all... even tho she did look very pretty... but ikindof exaggerated it...n it worked! she was so happy... n now we r friends..infact we r closer than me n my cousin😆 😳 not just cuz of that..but that breaks the ice!

nothing out of the box but lets post tips on buttering..
tip #1.. do not over do... it looks REALLY obvious!
