Friends, this is my second VM. After that I am going back to my theme video. I used "Jaise Radha ne mala japi" from the movie "tere mere sapne". During CB1, desigirlMita had made a VM using this song and all her videos were fabulous. Unfortunately, they all got removed in youtube. So now I have reused the song for CB2.

As usual, the VM is from Radhika's POV.

I use the following steps to make my VM. Maybe others can tell some better way as it is taking me a long time to make any video especially where I try to match lyrics with the scene. Even in my first VM, when I uploaded it to youtube, the music shifted a little bit and some of lyrics were just before the scene.

1. I downloaded real-player from the internet and that makes it easy to download any youtube or daily motion video. So if you go to dailymotion.com and type the episode you want to see in search bar, you get that episode. When you start playing it, the "download the video" comes in top right hand corner. You click on it and it starts downloading it to your library on your computer. You don't have to watch the episode and can close the window of your browser if you want.

2. I used to edit it real player in the first week but realized it was more work there. So now I just convert it. So when the downloading finishes, you will see options "trim, convert etc." Convert it and change the directory where you want to store the video and then press start. It will convert it to wma file.

3. I go to youtube to get the song. Copy the url and then go to this website. http://www.video2mp3.net/. There you can type the url and it will convert it to mp3 file which you can download to your computer.

So now you have your videos and mp3 file which has music in it.

4. Then I use windows movie maker (I believe it comes with all Windows 7 software) to do my story. So usually I add all the videos that have scenes I want to use. Then I click on each video and mute the dialogues/music/background music. Then you can add music and I add mp3 music to it. So usually I will have 1 hour of video (say) and 4 minutes of music. Then movie maker has split button where I start splitting the scenes I want to keep and delete rest of them. Then I can move this split pieces using my mouse (cut and paste) where-ever I feel they fit the video. For my theme videos, I add captions, titles etc. For VM you don't want to do that as you want to move from one scene to another smoothly.

VM in some sense is easier to make because you just need scenes. The hard work is making sure that scenes and lyrics are in sync with each other. So you have to add, split or remove scenes as needed.

This was the way I made it yesterday. That was my first attempt and so this is how I did it. Maybe somebody can suggest an easier way.

Thanks Angie for the instructions. I have something in mind but will need some VMs so was thinking of making some myself.

Loved this one and you are improving. I loved it when you showed Radhika dancing with joy and synchronised it with the lyrics in the song.

Friends, I have another VM to cheer up those of you who will miss watching CB today.

Finally, I was able to make a VM from Dev's perspective. So I have used "Kaun hai so sapno" from "Jhuk gaya aasman" movie.

Neerja, thanks. Even though some of the videos I have downloaded are not of that high quality and that has affected the quality of my VMs.

I can only make a VM if I feel that this song fits Dev and Radhika. If I feel it, then I can think of lyrics and can think of correlating with scenes.

You wanted that song from Payasa to be picturized on Radhika and Dev. I am trying but so far I haven't yet managed because somehow that song seems too high paced and too sophisticated for Dev and Radhika. I can partly imagine Dev and Radhika in it but not yet fully. There is another song that sort of fits Dev and Radhika. It is "Naino vali" from mera saaya but it has Sunil Dutt speaking lines in his voice. If those lines were in Avinash's voice, then I could have made it.
