Angie, thanks for the VM tutorial. I would like to give it a try. Enjoyed all the VMs from you.Never heard the song "Kaun hai jo" but you matched the lyrics so beautifully with the scenes.

Looking back, Rubina is looking so beautiful in the simple Lehenga choli dress especially in the red one where she was dancing in the temple when she found out Dev was the one she got married to.

Laxmis, you are welcome. If you have problem with certain section, I can always send you screenshots as that helps.
"Kaun hai" was a popular song from 60s movie and it seems to fit Dev perfectly as he was so duty bound and bogged down by responsibilities and obligations. But he always dreamed about freedom and a face who would complete him. Radhika was that person who finally freed him.
Rubina looks much more beautiful in simple dresses than gaudy jewelry and bright loud sarees. So she looked so much more beautiful before they made her Dev's official wife. In fact, in those early dresses she looked like Dev's dream girl and I wish they had given her those colors and simple elegant jewelry later on too. But then when Dev and Radhika's characters were no longer important, why would their looks be important either?

Angie loved Dev's viewpoint that was a very nice scene when Bholu imagines Radhika is packing his bags and doing everything for him and which she did when she finally became his wife and more also that's why he turned a lord of the manor😆 earlier no one was their to mollycoddle him.😃

Chalhov, that's why I picked that suitcase scene. It was always his dream. So they have few suitcase scenes. In the first one, he dreamed of two things - one Radhika picking up his clothes and chiding him for not using right clothes appropriate for the weather and then packing it for him. This to him implies care that he always craved from a family and never got until he got Radhika. Second was Radhika taking care of his Dada as Dada was always important to him and remained so even after he found out the manipulativeness of Dada. Dada and Radhika were the only family for him.
The suitcase scene came in few places. One was when he dreamed about it. Other was when Radhika was actually doing it for him and he was angry because he was rejecting her due to his obligations. So he was rejecting that care from her that he actually wanted. Then she was doing it for him when they went to Mumbai and this time he was ecstatic about it. Unfortunately, they didn't linger in that scene as Dev/Radhika's relationship was never the priority for later writers that it was for the original writers.
In fact, Bholu was always happy that Radhika knew his choice and cooked his favorite foods and picked up his clothes to make him look like a prince. Before Radhika, nobody cared whether he remained hungry or even knew about his likes/dislikes. His fake Yasoda maiyas staked a claim to him once he became a heir and got Radhika in his life. Before that, they could care less about him.

Angie I didn't realise regarding your problem.Yeah the scenes linked to these songs can make one mad because at that time Bholu was continuously walking into lamp posts.
Misti, that's why I was staying away from sad songs because I was going to get mad at Bholu even though he too suffered. But now I have thought of a solution. For both of your songs, I have happy songs too in mind. So I will make one sad with one happy where I can again find Bholu cute rather than smack-worthy.

Tere mere sapne VM brought tears to my eyes. Its beautiful...

Misti, I found this song when I was trying to find another song from the same movie. This song had the same theme where the heroine Rosie (Waheeda Rehman's character) was feeling hopeless about her life and Dev Anand's character was giving her hope by showing her that they can be together without caring for the society or family as both opposed their relationship.
So suddenly this scene just fit Dev and Radhika especially when Radhika felt so emotionally down and unworthy of Dev because of abuse from Dev's selfish family - Dai, Padma and Dada. Dev was strong until Dada's death, but then his guilt, insecurities and obligations/duty just weakened him until his own brush with death acted as a wake-up call. That's why I ended with that scene where finally he could prove to Radhika that they were together and no family/society could separate them.
Also Dev was such a side character during that six month period that I wanted to show his perspective and this song showed the fight he did for Radhika - the main one was convincing her that they deserved to be together.

Neerja, thanks. Ok I know this song, but I have to listen to it again to remember lyrics. But more than likely your "Geet gaya patharon ne" song would be first. I just make VMs of the songs where I can instantly think of scenes for at least half of lyrics. Then I can figure out rest by listening to them again and again.
