Sunita , was reading your views about the episode and was happy to see your positive outlook for the whole situation ...I agree with Angie , it was the way they executed the whole scene , which turned Barkha in to a victim and Dev and Radhika were projected as the selfish and opportunist ..Should have shown Radhika talking to Barkha as Barkha would have done willingly to help her and the way Angie said ...Why they are in hurry , should give time , space and voice to characters where they could tell the viewers what they are thinking ...

Sunita I was out yesterday so did not see the episode as soon as it was aired online. When I returned home I too was scared to watch the episode or read the update so looked for Misti's post but did not find it, instead saw other posts which indicated to me that Dev did not make the right decision.

I too watched the episode today and agree with your thoughts, so no chappals from me.
There was one thing that I did not like and wished cv had not shown and that was Radhika praying to Kahna. It was in bad taste.

Sunita, I am so happy you could see some good in the episode...but for me it was very upsetting...An RP started his term on a lie...in Friday's episode they made mockery of Hinduism and God...and than of RaDEv...So what were Cvs trying to do send carrots in our way by showing raDev holding hands and Dev looking at Radhika?

Usha, it was a horrible episode to look at. I only looked at it today after much deliberation if i should or not, lol.

Anyway i always try to find positives in life from the toughest of situations and this was exactly what i tried doing with yesterday episode.

To me the episode showed Dev is human and not god, when faced with such a tricky situation who knows how one would react.

Dev lost his dadaji who he loved very much and to add to his pain his family and Rads forced him into suffocation and wrong judgement, i dont blame Dev here but his family and mainly Rads bcoz she should have stand by her husband and supported him in his time of need.

Then if u look at it in another angle Dev did the same to Rads when he forced her to marry Rohan so both are paying for their mistakes.

Here is my comment from 9/9/11.

I thought Dev performed the best RP role under the circumstances. He thought about announcing to the society about Radhika and realised this was not the time. The society would have stoned Radhika away. He held Radhika's hand tightly in the Puja making her understand I rule form now on "Sit down, hold my hand and do as I say" That was my interpretation from RP Dev's action, holding His wife's hand.

The track is going perfect. Dev RP will accomplish all well once in power..

Give time.

Beautiful work by Dev and Radhika.

Thanks Minajay, the coming track will be about Dev fighting to gives Rads her rights in society.
If the CV's be creative it can be a very good track but we all know we cant trust them from past experiences.

Thanks Sunita nice view about the episode. Still believe Dev can correct his mistake. He is just human and made a mistake same goes with Radhika. As for RP he need earn it back. Just hope the keep the divine love between Dev and Radhika intact.

Sun, the problem is in the execution of the episode. After the promo, more or less everyone expected that Barkha would be the fake wife. But they really repelled the audience the way they did it.

Yes, Dev is human and he succumbed to a weakness brought by Rahdika's words and also Dada's words. It is true that he realized that he had to take RP title because no one else in his family was able to do so. Also he is at a emotionally low point after all the revelations about his parents and then on top of that, Dada died after his marriage. So his only support is Radhika who was telling him that he would lose her (emotionally) if he accepted her. So just as his cruels words drove Radhika to take that drastic action of acting as a fake wife of Rohan, so would Radhika's threat of going away from him would make desperate to lie like this. So he went with her lies to hold onto her. After all, she is his only family left.

Now if they had shown it in a different way where Dev realizes that at this point, there is no support for Radhika because of the double standards of the society that would not support a poor girl but would forgive a rich guy (Rohan) for his sins. Also that he doesn't have the influence his Dada had because only now he has been declared the heir and people haven't known his work (Mahants do but they are big time hypocrites). So the only way is to play their game and then bring in the change (afterall you can only bring the change when you are an insider).

So then they could have shown him talking to Barkha and asking her if she is willing to go this far with him where she would pretend to be his RPtain for a short time. Since Barkha has already broken society rules and is considered his wife in the society, she would have agreed to this.

So that would have been more palatable where Dev is shown to buy the time as well as make his position strong by bringing a lot of religious heads on his side so that when he brings out the truth of Radhika, they are accepted. Of course they can still go with their fake track by showing that Dev misjudged Barkha when he didn't realize that she is some sort of fanatic the way she does things. He thought of her lies as innocuous, but they weren't as they caused huge problem in Dev and Radhika's lives. So he would have trusted her but then later on she could have been shown betraying that trust. So his wrong actions would have haunted him and Radhika too.

Instead, they showed him springing this as a surprise on Barkha with Radhika praying to Kanha that Dev makes this decision. IF they had shown this as either a strategy on Dev's part or a human weakness, it would have gone better. Instead they showed Radhika and Dev justifying it in the name of dharam and Kanha. That brought down both of their characters.

Angie, lovely thoughts. Thanks for sharing them here. Like u said it was the way the episode was directed that have everyone upset, it showed RaDev being selfish and didnt think of Barkha's future which doesnt go with their characterisation.

I also didnt like the fact that they showed Rads praying to Kanha then the next second Dev said Barkha what are they trying to tell us that whatever Rads ask for right or wrong her wish should be granted this part really left a bad taste.

God supports the truth and what is right not wrong and here Rads request was very wrong.

Lets see how the cv's come out of this mess if they can.

Neerja,

Thanks for your thoughts, Barkha should have left PB when RaDev got married why did she stayed there her presence only complicated matters and now she is in a terrible situation because of her stupidity.

I hope the hurry is not bcoz they want to end the show abruptly like they did to CB1.

Ashna,

You r welcome dear, so far they have kept the divine connection of RaDev intact even in yesterday episode RaDev love was there for the viewers to see, esp from Dev when he held Rads hands and said his vachan looking at her was really good.

Lovely acting from Avinash & Rubina in yesterday episode.

Thanks Sunita...You know we love Avina and are watching ths show due to them and will support them %100. But...the way it was done broke lot of norms of our beliefs...RP/Dev is Human and it is human to error...but using the name of Kanha and all...
I do not have any pity for Barkha as it was her fault in a way...with all the lies she told RaDEv and dadaji...so she will suffer...
But, the way show was directed, it left a bad taste in my mouth...so I blame the director here...and not anyone else...also did they edit a scenes between RaDEv, where they might be discussing?
So now, how are RadEv going to come out of it? They closed BB and Virat's mouths and all...but what about Rohan?
Let us hope they show better directed, written and clear episodes...where they explain to us...and not go on doing more mockery of our faith and beliefs...My 2 cents...
