Personally, Dev does not look like a college kid at all. He looks far too matured. I suspect he has naturally put on weight (all the dairy products in the US perhaps?!!!) and he was just finding an excuse for it. Dev, if you had actually put on weight for the show, my apologies. But if you have not, perhaps you might like to shed a couple of kilos, not that you are not looking good ...you are... but before more kilos come on perhaps you might like to watch what you eat and perhaps go back to the gym if you are slacking off. Happens to the best of us. I have been meaning to say this for sometime and i am glad i got an opportunity to do so.
Coming to the other part - his role in the family - or even for the show for that matter - I feel that his character is lacking in some ways - his role in the family is rather like an errand boy, and he appears to be adopted rather than being one of the purohit family boys. This puts a different skew on this. According to the astrologers or whathaveyou, things will be put right when the Choti Bahu joins the family. If that be the case, then Radhika has to marry one of the purohit boys, in this case, Rohan (think thats the name), then where does this take us - even if there is a switcheroo of grooms and Radhika marries Dev in actuality at the Rohan wedding and it remains a secret, the fact is, that Radhika will still not be the Choti Bahu and things will not come right in the purohit family. So how does that make Radhika the Choti Bahu...unless there is some deep dark secret about Dev's blood ties with the purohit family.
