I was born in the darkest ignorance, and my spiritual master opened my eyes with the torch of knowledge. I offer my respectful obeisances unto him.
Thanks Guruma..
This is a needed thread. I think weaving of these slokas accordingly is the beauty of Choti Bahu, and i hope they continue with the real meaning of these slokas.
also this past week, I loved the wording of Dai, which stand in front of all other act for me: Reminding Dev that Krishna won the Mahabharatha without taking any weapn in His hand. I will be walking in fornt of you guiding you with the light of wisdome.
I wish they follow that path, guiding the act of Dev in that direction. I am really looking forward for this drama.
I really wish you continue this thread,
Devika.

Beautiful, Devika - verse from the Gurustotra!
I will try my best to post my thoughts when I can. I was so impressed by Muskaan reciting the shloks, I would have given her a big hug! Dev was shown reading them and that is good too. I wish I had learned Sanskrit in school. Luckily I have collected a lot of material lately and can locate most shloks.
Unfortunately, I have only watched part 1 of 2 of day 1 episode and read updates, so cannot post much yet. I will try to write if and when time permits. I hope that the CVs keep the story going and keep it interesting. You guys are all doing a great job, so like I always say, carry on, carry on!

Thanks, Why. It always feels good to be among friends and glad to be back.
I loved th kids reciting pratah smaran and loved the shanti mantra's singer. Does anyone know who it could be?
Yamnashtak is one of the hardest verses to learn. I have Ashit Desai's version of Narmadashtak and Yamunashtak and they are so beautiful to listen to.

Hey Gardes Guruma !

Dont know if you read the discussion in the musical about these shloks and how impressed I was listening to them and maybe Guruma will have to clarify the meaning ! And here you are with detailed meaning, their significance etc ! 😃
From this sense I find CB2 different (better ?!) than CB1, where the spiritual connection is established right in the childhood, thereby giving better credibility to the storyline when they emerge as adults.
Yes there are similarities / dissimilarities but hope they are not going to be at the cost of quality of the serial and viewers for that matter.😕
Mucho gracias ! 😆

P, thanks. You give me more credit than I deserve. I am not that well-versed in all this but just love to read.
I saw part of the first episode and loved how the shloks were weaved in and that the kids were reciting them. There is a wide range of shloks in Pratah Smaran, of which only a few were shown.
I have Lata Mageshkar's Sumiran CD that I love to listen to and I also have Anup Jalota's Pratah Smaran CD that is pretty good. I also love Ashit Desai's voice and have a few of his CDs made with his wife that includes Shanti Mantras for meditation.

Thanks Gardes for posting the shlokas...
In the first episode the reciting of this shlokas was done really beautifully; especially the singing of the shloka "swasti na indro---and later"...
It seems like this may been specially recorded for CB2 and I wonder who has sung this--the enunciation and the melody is very well sung...

I am the creatives maintain the flavor in the months and years to come....

Yes, moi and Putija (Chalhov) did our own research and I found pages after pages of some dif shloks on google, but your "organized" style step by step does deserve credit ! So modesty ko upar latka do, so you cant reach it ! 😉
And thanks for the CD info ! Will check out utube for Latag and my fav AnupJ under Pratah Smaran,
Oh my, found the one by Ashit Desai and Pt Shiv Kumar Sharma ... actually had goosebumps
listening to them !
