Thanks, Laxmis. I am glad you liked the post.
Yamunashtak is popular with a sect of Hinduism - Pushtimargis, who worship Lord Shrinathji, another avatar of Lord Krishna and who consider Shri Vallabhacharya as their spiritual leader. I heard about Yamunashtak from our friends who belong to the sect.
Yamunashtak is available on youtube.

In the first episode the reciting of this shlokas was done really beautifully; especially the singing of the shloka "swasti na indro---and later"...
It seems like this may been specially recorded for CB2 and I wonder who has sung this--the enunciation and the melody is very well sung...

I am the creatives maintain the flavor in the months and years to come....

You are welcome, Radhika. I loved the part where they do Radha Ashtami pooja and Yamuna river pooja. I have not watched more than that so far. Hope to catch up soon.
I too loved "Swasti No Indro..." and would like to know who recorded the Shanti prayer. Beautiful.
You are right, I will be very tee'd off too at the CVs if they start ruining the show, after it has started well.

Thanks again !

Arrey, P, yeh kya? There are times when I am afraid to post because there are people like Radha, Why and others who know more than I do. Chalo, koi baat nahin.
I had shlok sangraha that I looked up for some of the shloks and 1 or 2 were copied from Google. I thought it would be better to keep 'em short and simple.
Thanks for posting the youtube links. To get a real sense of Ashit Desai's voice, you should check the Tulsi Mantra or listen to the Pratah Smaran for Shiva Chants on youtube. I love his Shaant Stress Reliever - Morning and Evening CDs with his wife Hema Desai. All Shanti Mantras done beautifully in different ragas. Check Rhythm House's website!

Hellooo Mummy..........hope that you are going to maintain this thread.......once very week.😃 The kids were pretty impressive with their chanting of the shloks.

Long time back when I was in school.....there used to be series on DD called Chanakya. I was addicted to that show.....it was mainly about Chanakyas role in Chandragupta Mauryas life and touched on Arthashastra. The serial started with Chandraguptas childhood and how Chanakya guided him.......I was hooked to it because Chanakya is one of my favourite characters in Indian history and the show very impressively used shloks and Chankyas teachings without making it boring. I remember that it was quite a popular show at that time. If the creatives of CB can do that then it will make the show interesting and different from the other shows.
I have attached some of the clippings
