Of Course I would love to see them teamed up.

But I think GK has so far not worked with same actor twice..

One more point.. GK is a very powerful creative women. I would like her to create a strong female lead in one of her show, not only the strong and all-powerful men like Maan, or ASR or Asad Ahmed Khan..

I want her to team up with her if she had strong, sensible lead role and not concentrate and empower main lead..its always been like a female lead is a love interest only...

TO be frank i saw ipk becoz i liked khushi her sanki mind and hated ASR..

If something concrete role is offered to her then she could take it..
Also i want sanz to do jhalak next year then gul show if she gets it:)

Ah seems i guess right Sonya! Its indeed something I have often spoken with a lot of friends..

I think u r quite accurate on the assumption on the loss of interest.. But I wouldn't touch that here cz this is about the future..n not to rehash on the past. But one thing, I always gave credit to Gul, cz had ASR not been created in her mind and brought to life I would not have been here typing this comment. And yes as u said it was certainly necessary that u were obsessed about at least one of the leads for u to be sucked in to her shows. And for me it was ASR at first and both ArHi next...

ANYWAY now coming to the point of this post I for one have ALWAYS wanted San in another 4 Lions show! Its my belief that no1 tells love stories as beautifully as 4 Lions with GK at its helm!

So HELL YES!
As much as I love CC and pray that it lasts at least a little over 1 year, the next show with SI in it I want a hardcore star crossed romance! cz this nonsense about the genres needing to be different for an actor to explore different characters is a load of bull!
All it needs is the character to be different irrespective of the genre!

I don't need to take any other example, MJHT & IPK were both love stories yet Khushi & Gunjan were as different as it was humanly possible to be as characters!
CC & IPK r very different genres compared to MJHT & IPK yet KKG & CC r quite similar people as compared to Gunjan and KKG.

Thus another reason for me to pray that the next show she takes up to be a romance cz she was born to be that M&B fair maiden that is made of dreams... And IF ITS a ROMANCE as I said before no1 on INDIAN TV tells love stories as beautifully as this PH & Gul.

So indeed I want her in one of their stories in future!

They have their own share of shortcomings, but even with all their
shortcomings their stories are more perfect than most of the so called perfect stories and r more beautiful to watch than most others.. I do not watch QH cz as u said u need to like at least one actor.. And as I specifically hated KSG at one time (not anymore cz Asad's glimpses cured me of my annoyance of him i nurtured for years) I chose not to watch!
See its again Gul, cz i disliked an actor of past cocky character n now her characterization of Asad has made me actually appreciate the actor and actually made me like him!
So more power to Gul and I NEED to see Sanaya in one of her shows hopefully by the end of next year!

nice topic to discuss on a weekend Sonya 🤗

Awww thanks Sunara.

I must admit that your explanation on the significance of different characters rather than different genres makes perfect sense. I never thought of it in this way but it's so convincing now. So yeah I too wouldn't mind seeing Sanaya in another love story but in a very different character and an extremely intriguing plotline.

Funny how we have so many experiences in common. I was rather indifferent to KSG rather than dislike or hate him cuz I never followed his show or personal life but I knew he was immensely popular. But I was totally in love with his character in QH and by extension the actor grew on me too - see what a character can do to us! If I ever watched QH, it would have been solely for Asad's character. So yeah GK seems to have this thing for giving us one of those male characters right from the fairy tales. I am not sure if I can say the same of her female characters though. I know you loved Khushi's character but for me she had no depth despite the fact that she was lovely to see on screen and Sanaya portrayed her with sheer perfection. This could also be due to the fact that I have seen many Khushi-type characters on other shows so the only new thing in Khushi for me was that Sanaya played the role. I could say the same of Zoya's character. Although she had some newness in her, it was not a character that would remain with me. I have not followed the show so in all fairness, it could be that Zoya has more depth than Khushi at least considering that her childhood agonies are foregrounded in the plotline. So Zoya has a story of her own even without Asad while this was not the case with Khushi. In this sense I'd say ChanChan's character s a notch above Khushi's character for me even though we are yet to see the depth in her character too but at least CC has the potential to become profound.

So if Sanaya were to team up again with GK after CC, I'd hope that the female character has a story of her own.

And Sunara, why do you say that only GK has the best storytelling capacity when it comes to romantic sagas. Could it be because her love stories are the only ones we've watched? I never watched the show but I have heard of the Tere Liye fame on SP. I was told that the TRPs went as high as 7.0 and the audience were in complete awe of the romantic couple in that show.

I disagree!! A lot of shows play on the jealousy and insecurity of the leads!! It's nothing new and I don't believe it was done to ruin the character!! We were getting Khushi's POV more after the remarriage!! And of course the character of Khushi was very different and she handled her situations differently than most people!! LOL She was a kid at heart!! There's was nothing in that and it was a way for her to grow eventually!! I think they were going in that direction but the show apruptly ended!! Khushi's backstory would've unfolded if the show continued since Garima's track unfolded too!! But they decided to go ahead with the remarriage instead of an separation track !! So, I guess they decided on the sheetal track instead!! Anyway, what's done is done!! I can't change it!! :(

I agree with you on this Sonya Khushi was lovely and nice to look at on screen she was adorable her antics was cute but no one can disagree with the fact she was just a love interest her character had no depth or story of her own but Sanaya made her special among all of us her character was made as a joker to make ASR look good despite all he has done to her. her character never had the justice it should have IMO Gunjan character atleast had a good story and she had depth which Khushi character lack in Chanchan case it's just do early to judge right now.

4Lions have good concepts on paper, no one matches them in portraying romance beautifully but they don't seem to be cut out for daily shows because they don't seem able to develop other characters or storylines other than the romance and so are unable to give a well rounded show. When their leads have united they seem to be at a loss with what to do with the show. Perhaps they should focus on weekly love stories, maybe like a season of Teri Meri Kahani type of stories. (Not commenting on QH because I only saw 5 minutes of it) I disagree that you have to be a fan of at least one of the leads to watch a 4 Lions show because I'm not a fan of DD or GC but enjoyed Geet while they still had a story to tell. With Geet it was Geet's character that was well developed and with IPK it was ASR's...if 4Lions could come up with a well thought out story in which both leads are well developed characters and with a strong storyline that they stick with I wouldn't mind watching Sanaya in another romantic show with them, should she want to do it. This time I'd like to see Sanaya in an ASR/MSK type of role...the strong silent angry young women who makes her own destiny and how love comes into her life but the show needs to be about more than just the leads falling in love.

Oh yes definitely our condition would be that they come up with an awesome character for the female lead IF Sanaya were to sign another show with them.

Would rather not comment on the previous show...as with a heavy heart, I still let out a sigh over its abrupt closure...

I must say that for all the flak that Gul Khan received over her past show, she attained a deserving tenfold glory with QH. I did watch a few episodes mid way but could not handle the leads romance nor the violence. I loved the senior artists like Shalini and Waqar but no story developed over them so gave up...

Would love to see Sanz team up with Gul again...

See that's exactly GK's problem. I too started watching QH for Asad's character and also because it looked sooo promising. The Darga scene, the entries of the leads, and the whole backdrop of the story seemed so intriguing. I was in love with so many promising elements such as Asad's unconditional love for his step brother, his hatred for his father, the undying bond between his parents... all of these important elements vanished or at least sidelined as soon as Asad and Zoya's story came into the picture.

What I feel is that GK can make the romantic part of her show so much appealing to the audience but she cannot tell a story.. and that is her flaw. If she can overcome this flaw, then oh yes we'd love to see SI team up with her again!

And being a Sanaya fan...I have to agree that I would like to see her in roles which she can explore her acting capability and we get to see her talent in other fields..Romance she has already proven that nobody can match her in it.

Coming to IPK...why it was a hit...whose credit it is...something that is hard to tell...all I know is it was a master piece which came to us due to a number of good reasons..Barun..Sanaya..very good script, a great supporting cast and a great concept. Not one person slone can be given the credit for it...And to get all this again will be something impossible. ...master pieces cannot be remade ever ever again...as a friend had said to be...that is why we have only one Taj Mahal. Comparing anything to IPK...is useless...!!!!

We can stipulate and want what ever we wish. ...what we will get is ...what the actors decide to take as their show.!! For now CC is on air...and Sanaya is in it...that is what matters.

But like Sunara said, Sanaya can explore her different shades of acting through different characters even if she sticks to the romantic genre. She gave the very apt example of Gunjan and Khushi. Although both the shows basically fell in the same genre, Sanaya surprised everyone when she transitioned from the shy Gunjan to the loud Khushi. And now she plays the balanced ChanChan...

I am sorry but I'll have to disagree about IPK being a masterpiece. I have watched far better shows with so much more substance. So to say that the magic of IPK cannot be recreated would be an overstatement. The show might not enjoy the same popularity for whatever reason (as Sanaya says, you never know about the fate of a show until it goes on air), but I disagree that another show by a different PH can never outperform IPK. If given the a lot of thought and attention, I won't be surprised if Sanaya's current show ChanChan also achieves this goal.

Oh yes, the decision is certainly Sanaya's. Hence, I was so against this whole agenda of closing down IPK or vouching for SaRun to appear together again. I've always said let the actors take their own decisions just like we'd expect others to give us our personal space. This thread was just a random topic for discussion... nothing more.
