I don't agree fully to all your points...(though partially those points could be the factors affecting TRP of CC...)

According to me, the main reason for low TRP of the show is the mindset of the Indian Television TRP Viewers that reflects in their choice and preference of shows...

The majority of the Indian TRP viewers who are in their late 40s or 50s, prefer watching Saas-bahu sagas...that's why all K serials once rocked...but now shows like Diya aur baati, Ye rishta kehlata hain., Saathiya..etc are all based on similar subject but the CVs have garnished differently...(I mean less number of divorces, separations, remarriages ..etc etc compared to K soaps). People love watching family politics, a dominating MIL and a docile DIL...and where their husbands are merely used as props...those viewers don't want to watch something fresh and don't want to accept the role/ character of a liberal and independent women, representing our society...

Secondly, the entire system of TRP mechanism is very absurd as it doesn't consider the online viewers, whereas as the similar majority of viewers watch shows online...like I am a working professional and don't have time to watch TV at home specially in the week days after office hours..so I prefer to watch shows online...but this kind of viewership is not accountable for TRPs...so what's the use to discuss about the same...

Sanaya's previous show was one of the most popular and most watched show...it too never got TRPs as good as Balika Vadhu...as the reasons I mentioned above - taste of majority of TRP viewers and TRP mechanism itself...whereas in IF it was consistently No#1 for a year...

Now, lets see the ranking in IF of CC and its competitors:

Chhanchhan - 3
Diya Aur Baati - 11
Pavitra Rishta - 12
Chidiya Ghar - 52

In IF, the majority of non-TRP members are here and we spend our quality time in different forums..that's why CC is on 3rd Position...whereas the majority of TRP viewers are not in IF and they watch shows on its original slot, which is accountable for TRPs...Therefore, as long as the TRP mechanism itself changes its metrics, the low TRP is not a surprise to me!

Well said...I totally agree...instead we should jus watch e show n discuss the episodes rather than discussing e future..we will Nv knw wats gonna happen...it can be Gd or bad..like sanaya quoted she doesn bother much bt enjoy wat she is doing..we should enjoy while its on air..

Why bother about things over which we have no control, just enjoy the show as along it's on air.Whatever has to happen will happen.

I totally agree Nishi. The era might hv changed and TRPs may not go as high as 22 but ultimately one thing matters and that is competition. Shows hv TRPs near about 5 so its highly likely for the shows with below 1 TRP(whatever maybe the reason behind low TRP) to suffer the consequences.

If a show is failing on TRP chart then for sure there is something that is lacking in it. Different viewers hv different mindsets so it depends who likes what.

1.I always said before chanchan was starting that sanaya should not do a sony show bcaz it dont get good trps so one of the main reason is the channel.. (well all depends on the story and the script and also the production house... here had been many shows on sony which bagged good TRP BALH for eg... how can we forget about kusum and Kutumb long back... these were one of the most compitative shows during their time. kutumb even had season two...) chhanchhan clearly lacks in script... there is no connection from one episode to another... there is no interesting factor in the show to be honest.

2.The first main lead of the show Farhan khan was not at all good in acting n he has been replaced. (that was the nose drop... i wonder how come the ph took that actor at the first place... a lead actor not performing is a disaster and they should have given it a thought as saas bahu must have a beta/hubby and initial episodes were supposed to build up a character and the show which was a nose dive)

3.People are not hooked to chanchan from first episode n people who have watched chanchan first week have left watching it next week bcaz many of them dont like FK. (i agree...even i stopped watching it forwarding the actor part and watching sanaya's part. but then only sanaya cannot do romance all alone unless there is a male lead and without romance love marriage wouldnot have been possible. there was ZERO chemistry... infact i would disrespect the word chemistry by hooking it with sanaya and farhan)

4.If there r good actor n actress in the show from start then trp can be high as comapred to bad actor.

5.The story is not that grippy and many actors on chanchan is not up to mark. (I agree... there is not thing in the story... is it very plain and predictable and somehow has got no interesting and wow factor.)

6.Some people cant even get out of her previous show n want to see her with his previous costar. (well that some people are not the masses... i think SaNuj chemistry is really good and both the actors are doing good job in it. so it wont be right. Many SaRun fan watch the show and appreciate we cannot generalise. the whole issue is there is no script. I am sure if it was then the scene would have been different. Take DD, people have happily accepted her in MB with VV after Geet)

7.People want to see sanaya in romantic shows. (that is true, but moreover i expected a very different show not saas bahu saga from her. Romance will be there in each and every show sometime more and sometimes less but the main thing is storyline and script...i would not like to discuss her pervious show though i cannot keep myself from reframing that even that serial went through it's low point despite of sizzling chemistry between the leads due to some crappy tracks which most of you know)

Well said Nishi. i wanted to add one more point to ur reply , 9 pm is prime time slot that is family time and many people will tune in to watch tv hence 9PM shows rule trp charts and that arises severe competition among the shows. every new show has to compete with other established shows at that slot. if show is accepted well by the audience it survives or else it has to go with the flow.

As for ur input ..Ur right but umm trust me sweety ...I know better ..😛...for u see if the ratings are flawed, they are flawwd for all even SP n other channels ...also, the same TRP n now the trial TVT system applies to all the shows ..hence ...one show CANNOT be given exception ...

Tough competition is there since the beginning.

Trp for Chhanchan has slowly increased, so there is a chance
that viewers are in favour of the show.


But trp dipped LAST WEEK..


So, what happened last week that made it came
down to its lowest?
I am really curious...
