@sunara well i agree to your post but at the same time i feel the awareness should be drawn slowly and positively instead of throwing things onto rural people... they need to understand gradually.. but in CC it was more about tradition VS modern... well not exactly that also... i think they messed up with UBs character big time. initially they had shown her something any they are changing her... to be honest there are other shows which are showing in similar lines but in gradual process... i dont want to talk about IPK as the storyline was totally different than that of Chch... so no comparison. IPK had international viewership and also it had done consistantly well in southern part of india. but as far as chhanchhan is concerned running a similar show which has some similarity between SP same lot was a tough job as 1) show was already established 2) initial episodes were very different 3) the social message is dealt is a very different soothing way to which people were able to connect. but CC honestly i dont thing above 40+ house-wives would able to connect. Sadly rural people will not enjoy that show as they wont be able to connect with any of the character as they are not exposed to things like internet, healthy diat, men serving bahus etc... it is just like if a child is fed with sudden information which they have no clue...

to end it i would see Chch shouldnot have been in 9 slot with this script... it was the ultimate nail in the coffin.

<font size="2" face="Comic Sans MS, Times, serif" color="#0066cc">BUT the difference is shows such as DABH which is most watched by the uneducated masses is positively affected by this flaw - meaning they show TRPs than that in reality is</font>

<font size="2" face="Comic Sans MS, Times, serif" color="#0066cc">WHILE</font>
<font size="2" face="Comic Sans MS, Times, serif" color="#0066cc">the other shows be it IPK or CC - r negatively affected. meaning they show less TRPs than is in reality!!</font>

<font size="2" face="Comic Sans MS, Times, serif" color="#0066cc">so yes its flawed for all. but unfortunately for us for uneducated audience mindset shows gain a positive advantage from these while love stories, etc that cater to the urban or youth of educated segments r negatively affected.</font>
<font size="2" face="Comic Sans MS, Times, serif" color="#0066cc">Also when u take the 4 segments i mentioned</font>
<font size="2" face="Comic Sans MS, Times, serif" color="#0066cc">1. Uneducated</font>
<font size="2" face="Comic Sans MS, Times, serif" color="#0066cc">2. Youth</font>

<font size="2" face="Comic Sans MS, Times, serif" color="#0066cc">4. Urban</font>

<font size="2" face="Comic Sans MS, Times, serif" color="#0066cc">now from this 1st category is hardly ever online thus the impact of such shows on internet is almost 0!</font>
<font size="2" face="Comic Sans MS, Times, serif" color="#0066cc">while the other 3 categories which would prefer more modern mindset shows, love stories, bold stories etc is more techno savvy and r more likely to watch it online, simply cz they have the resources and money to either by a DVR system to record and watch, rewind TV or online.. none of which would cater to TRPs despite that audience actually watching it!!</font>

<font size="2" face="Comic Sans MS, Times, serif" color="#0066cc">So well a flawed TRP system is unfair due to it affecting some positively and giving an unfair advantage while affecting quality shows negatively and putting them at an unfair disadvantage!!</font>

All we can see is tat the ratings are difficult to analyze ..it's a working day n Nishi is tied up ..if anything pls PM
Her...if the story is connected with all the trps would be Gd...bas...!

But trp dipped LAST WEEK..

So, what happened last week that made it came
down to its lowest?
I am really curious...

well answer to this would be... when anuj was introduced people got back their hope.. the chemitry clicked and was liked... though it is seen marriages always a TRP gainer... point by point it started going up... but after that people didnot find the relative story and essence in the show which was missing from day one. PH was confused script was rushed. there was no proper understadning shown between chhanman before marriage later they pushed the romantic scenes which looked definately good but honestly many couldnot relate to that during that point of time. chhanman hardly romanced before marriage and suddenly after marriage they started as if they are so used to it. it was weird... i would have preferred a lot more scenes between chhanman before marriage... yes cozy ones i mean before jumping into marriage. that would have been gradual...

coming to the last week... well if you see manav's character is the most inconsistent character shown... so it is quite obvious that people will start getting disconnected...

then they introduced dadaji track... they took away uma ben's humor and gave it to dadaji... making her flat... then they experimented a dark uma ben... suddenly kaumudi bhabhi's track was introduced out of no where... these experiments proves that ph is desperate to make it click... and then final nail was chhanman's misunderstanding... again manav's characterization is to be blamed for that...

Few more reason for low TRP

1. Allways Saas-Bahu won't get good trp as already one is on the air with the same time slot. Though I don't see DBAH but Chanchan runs 4 days and 5th day people have to watch another serial and if that seems interesting they continue to watch
2. Even Saas Bahu we should have a variety of plots to make it more spicy
3. Only the lead characters are taking part and other family characters plot has not been developed. It is difficult to run with the lead characters and showing all the time their story. That is why the TRP of Pyar ka dard , qubool hai etc are having good trp
May be I am wrong but it is my opinion as I watch the show from the beginning and I am also feel bad in spite a good story line with modern ideas the show has not picked up so far

Deepika's Quote: First of all i m too a sarun fan but i like sanuj n i love sanaya os i will always support her n i watch all episodes on tv on original timing just for sanaya but i cant say i have get over sarun n if leaving some of IF people havent got over Sarun though they like chanchan n sanuj like me but if i will make a poll on my page then i know people want to see sarun n even when i ask them to watch chanchan u can see d comments people r saying they want to see sarun n IF people dont contribute to trp as most of them dont even live in india

yap @deepika... i exactly know what you are saying but we have to understand that IPK has a huge fan base internationally and people just love them... but at the same time we cannot expect them to do everything together na... this is happening because chhanchhan has not clicked... thats all... if it would have been clicked the scene would have been different... never the less we cannot get what we always want but that doensot mean we will stop dreaming... you never know when it comes true...

at the moment i would like to concentrate on what is happening and what is going wrong rather then thinking about the future.

but chhanchhan's future seems getting blurred day by day... every time in my every post i have mentioned that the script needs to be looked upon... and i still stand by that.

I totally totally agree on that.
Anuj's entry gave a ray of hope that maybe the show would do good but the character of Manav suddenly took a turnover in a single night and some of the scenes were like thrown into the show just for the heck of it.

There was no understanding development between Manav and CC either before or after marriage.

UB's character which was supposed to be grey turned to complete black and evil.

The tracks are purely experimental and discontinuous. It is as if they are desperately trying to make it work but failing miserably.

I disagree on that.
Take for example her previous show. It was at its peak of TRP when romance was at hilt in that show. That show was about romance and more youth directed right? How did it get TRPs then? Coz the TRP audience too liked the story and the characters connected to them.

Unlike us TRP audience dont watch the show for their fav actors. They want gripping story and good concept and sad to say CC lacks exactly over there. The tracks are not continuous and characters are not well developed which makes it difficult for a viewer to connect.

CC is a saas-bahu show and had it been led the right way it could hv got TRPs but sadly that could not happen.

Exactly... @bold.

@red... thats exactly my point is... unlike many i cannt, will not watch a show unless i am able to connect to it and unless it has a good story... i have seen many serials at the past and all were different from each other... i watched kutumb season 1, kyunki first generation, hip hip hurray, remix, kahin to hoga till rajeev was there... then i watched geet but after sometime i lost interest... i used to like Maan and Geet but it didnot hold me during it's crapy tracks... IPK was exeption though... i managed to watch every damn thing even if it was bad just because i connected with the characters from day one... specially with khushi. but here in chhanchhan i doubt how many actually connects with the characters and the storyline and wishes "kash mein chhanchhan hoti and mera hubby manav jaisa hota"

@TM some things are best left untouched and uncompared to. Sanaya's previous show and previous jodi is one of them. Some ppl may find it absurd but that show is unforgettable and personally I would prefer that show and that couple over anything else. Even I know a lot of ppl (and they are not online viewers) who share the same opinion.
So its better if we dont compare this and the previous show or couple coz there is simply no comparison in my opinion.

Very well said👏

Even I hv watched a hell lot of shows of different genres. What is important is a proper story and characterization. Unlike what ppl generally think some saas-bahu shows are really good in the beginning. The only drawback is that they go on for years and makers themselves get confused what to show.

Ppl generally loose interest in a show after a point of time when the tracks become crap and draggy. But yes IPK was and will always be an exception for me too.

In Chhanchhan a proper background story is lacking and characters are plain with nothing new to them. There is no wow factor in the show seeing which I can say that yes this show is gonna be memorable.
