ahh don't be so surprised lol.. it was a norm..cz there were 2 or 3 main GECs. hardly any fiction shows going strong except in SP & Sony. So well it was par for the course :)

i was familiar with ratings from those days..cz i was around IF..

n 1 more news is Kyunki was shut down for having 7+ or 8+ TRPs... that was in 2008 when Colors jsut started and BV topped the charts.. (was pissed off cz i used to watch🥱)

so people don't compare those days with now..it was a different era 😳

Hmmm everyon e is smart Enuf to not compare Beside's nishi has stated in page 4 what The statement meant so its best to go with the flow right...let's see...

I m ready to go with the flow but before tht...Bang on reply sunara..love u for this/...👏⭐️..those daqys were difft..and also cc has picked up no doubt bt again its competing with shoiws that is 5 yr old another one is no 1 in trp frm yrs..and also the typical indian ladies live to c mil torturing dil more than seeing something unique..so i m nt worried..and i will agree with what si told in her telly tadka int..

Hello everyone :)

Yes I noticed that TRPs are low compared to other shows but I saw a bit of the Maha episode and I felt that Chhanchhan is more of real life society thinking and is done in a proper way.

Diya Aur Baati Jum - Drama , Promotions( All channels like Cartoon Network,TLC and Channel V) and visit to various cities for promotion

Sanskaar - Family Drama with full of negative tricks which give negative impact to society and plus it gives drama in a big scale like the female lead falling in a well and all

Do Dil Ek Jaan - Love stories always click with the audience plus this show is unique its own sense and has good actors.

Pavitra Rishta - Ran for long years and has a connect with the audience.

Sony TV did a big mistake by launching the show one week before IPL as that week doesn't see good show launch TRPs

Plus I noticed that Star Plus puts Diya Aur Baati Hum ads on DTH operators like Dish TV.When you switch on the DTH the first channel which is a channel dedicated to the DTH and tells about promotions by the DTH.Star Plus is very smart in playing ads and grabbing the audience

The same ad of the show plays for around 1 hour on the DTH for a show.

I am worried as Big Boss is coming

Thank-you, I had a look at TRP's of the previous show. It did great for a while and then slipped. Yet it was a popular show.

TRP's or not, I'm enjoying the show.

@TM - I thought they were laying the foundation thus far. Having CC being established as bahu before they begin the battle of ideologies. The sub plots are occurring as well. We see everything being put in place before the great clash. I hope it is coming!

I don't agree fully to all your points...(though partially those points could be the factors affecting TRP of CC...)

According to me, the main reason for low TRP of the show is the mindset of the Indian Television TRP Viewers that reflects in their choice and preference of shows...

The majority of the Indian TRP viewers who are in their late 40s or 50s, prefer watching Saas-bahu sagas...that's why all K serials once rocked...but now shows like Diya aur baati, Ye rishta kehlata hain., Saathiya..etc are all based on similar subject but the CVs have garnished differently...(I mean less number of divorces, separations, remarriages ..etc etc compared to K soaps). People love watching family politics, a dominating MIL and a docile DIL...and where their husbands are merely used as props...those viewers don't want to watch something fresh and don't want to accept the role/ character of a liberal and independent women, representing our society...

Secondly, the entire system of TRP mechanism is very absurd as it doesn't consider the online viewers, whereas as the similar majority of viewers watch shows online...like I am a working professional and don't have time to watch TV at home specially in the week days after office hours..so I prefer to watch shows online...but this kind of viewership is not accountable for TRPs...so what's the use to discuss about the same...

Sanaya's previous show was one of the most popular and most watched show...it too never got TRPs as good as Balika Vadhu...as the reasons I mentioned above - taste of majority of TRP viewers and TRP mechanism itself...whereas in IF it was consistently No#1 for a year...

Now, lets see the ranking in IF of CC and its competitors:

Chhanchhan - 3
Diya Aur Baati - 11
Pavitra Rishta - 12
Chidiya Ghar - 52

In IF, the majority of non-TRP members are here and we spend our quality time in different forums..that's why CC is on 3rd Position...whereas the majority of TRP viewers are not in IF and they watch shows on its original slot, which is accountable for TRPs...Therefore, as long as the TRP mechanism itself changes its metrics, the low TRP is not a surprise to me!
