Great performances by sanaya & Supriya.

What I loved was, Purvi and her dad made the decision, rather than Chhanchhan. She only provided the information, the reson and gave her moral support. She did not take it upon herself to reform the world and there lies the difference of this show and the female lead from all typical shows. There was no over dramatized scenes of crying and confrontation. Kudos to Sanaya and the whole PH team for this approach.

As I expected maanav was out of all this. My guess is Chhanchhan will not be aware that maanav is umaben's son when they fall in love.

@TM:- I would have been happy if they had showed Purvi and her Dad being little strong rather than Chanchan fighting their case. This was a good moment for the supporting cast to make their mark but unfortunately they didn't give any strong dialogues to purvi or her dad and so the whole thing was IMO preachy with Chanchan alone leading the fight. Since the makers had tackled the issue in their first week, I expected a better and a stronger reaction to be shown by Purvi and her Dad but here both were crying and being hapless and Chanchan leading the solo fight - I am okay with the lead being depicted as a strong girl but IMO the fight should have been called by Purvi and her Dad rightfully and the fight should have been strongly worded by both of them. And now I agree with you the way the show will go on with Manav and Chanchan falling in love with both unaware of their identities and then it would be Saas-Bahu takkar. Just was wishing this serial to be different because of Sanaya but looks like it is old wine in a new bottle.

Well said!
SO happy that Elders made the decision. ChhanChhan helped, but didn't try do go over the elders. Well Done CVs!
Superb execution by Sanaya!
LOVED Umaben. *no i'm not insane for liking the villain* Just in 3 episodes, she has already emerged as the most powerful character in the show. - I mean it - Chhanchhan is not the strongest character (yet) - Umaben is. She emanates strength, experience, and brilliance, and rises as the master-manipulator. I thought after IPK i will never admire another villain - but now, I'm seriously interested in this show because of this strong personality of Supriya. Or as J and the gang says it - YaYa (SanaYA-SupriYA) is the jodi here, not Maanav-ChCh.
Supporting actors were good enough. no OTT.
Overall, i would give 8/10. saving 2 points because otherwise i'll have to exceed 10 in the future :-)

Sarada -- I still think that Chhanchhan's friend and her father took the decision! She informed them and let them take it... but Umaben has sort of zeroed in on her as the culprit behind the decision ... makes it the start of a typical clash ( saas-bahu). To me , the father and daughter would have taken the same decision whoever had informed them ... any of the girls... but its fair to say that they did trust Chhanchhan a lot to make the decision.

I liked today's episode- no huge drama and OTT funny dialogues.

I also liked the fact that on a serious issue only elders were talking and youngers didn't interfere.

I think the reason purvi & dad did not use strong words is bcuz they have a relationship of employer- employee with Umaben and did not want to insult her. Even Chhanchhan put her point across but not in insulting manner, which is what a modern thinking person with values would do.

Very nicely put. Its so true. Unlike other shows where the Female Lead takes her own decisions without consulting anyone one, no matter how silly the decision, Chhan Chhan did nothing like that. She left the decision into the hands of those who would be actually affected by it. In other shows there would have been a 'RUKHIYE!! Ye shaadi nahin ho sakti hai.' during the pheres. And then the FL would behave like a martyr, take a lot of insults from the people around, shed rivers of tears etc and God only knows what else. Cause most of the dramas on TV don't make sense. The FLs always seem to act like martyrs, hide simple facts which might have otherwise cleared the entire matter in minutes, thus putting them in bad light etc etc. I for one am enjoying Chhan Chhan. Its a show with a difference. And I totally trust Sanaya's decisions.
