I don't have much time so instead of quoting each post I will make one post .

Shwetha, one of my husbands buddie is in Your city . He builds airports . He designs them . He designed Mumbai airport. Then Bali and now he is in Bangalore. He does not speak word of Kanandda and has no interest in learning because he does not want to know any politics or internal issues . He states he is not there to make friends and he only want to work at his best . This attitude has helped him to get where he is .He visited last wk and he was telling us lots of hilarious .stories .people use every excuse not to work . Everyone kills one relative every month . Every religious holiday is excuse not to work or pray at work place . He made me laugh . My husband was also telling us his experiences . So work place is not our home it's place to work and remember that and do your best . Do not get discouraged.everywhere is the same shit . Pardon my French .

Pari so good to see you . You must be having hard time as out sider there .specially in south . As I know North Indians are not well received in South . Do you see your friend from the forum Apu ? We had so many gilrs for Bangalore on HD forum . Do you see anyone of them .?

You talk about TV shows . I don't see any Tv no Time for fun . This forum is only entertainment. I want to watch something for fun but I have not found anything . .

You will never find any forum like ...( You know which one )because of Bhakt 😡Devi was untouchable. I wanted to alienate them . At that time I was on " light duty " so I used to get lunch time . I I used to wait to get on people's last nerve . Special after when they made fun of SV after award ceremony that was horrible . Two faced people . Never again .

@Heema di,... My pov vary in this... Hope you have heard this quote "Be a Roman in Rome"... Which means Wherever you are...You should live according to the people of that area... If you can't adapt to that... It does not mean that you are not well received... In fact, south Indians do speak Hindi and other north languages and communicate the same when they come over here... But, when south people visit north India, it becomes a joke and do mazaak to them, if they speak south language. So hope you can make out who is well received and who is not... I am not criticizing anyone... But it becomes people's responsibility to respect other language and their people when they visit other region... Learning and speaking is their interest...but respecting is what makes them get respect In return.

Also... excuse for work is the nation's problem and not one particular region. Btw... In these days... Our country is doing well... People are working hard and they need the break too In between... still many work in Poor amenities, less salary , poor infrastructure and taking rest during festivals and holidays is not excuse I feel.

I did not mean to offend you but I understand your POV . When I get time I will come back and explain everything because it's needed . Just want to say this right now that . I hate discrimination at any lavel but our own religion started with cast system and discrimination at every level so it's not going anywhere.

Schewtha , I must clarify , our friend was talking about experiences in Bangalore, Mumbai and Bali . My husband was talking about his experience in Japan , Germany and India .

Every Japanese person comes to work half an hour early and goes home after he is finished. If they work for an American company they only speak English . You will not hear word of their language unless they are at lunch break or not in the office .

I am not anti Indian . I am an Indian and never forget my Matrubhumi . I have big problem with work ethics in India . My husband , two sisters and brother are deeply involved with off shore work . I hear one complaint from them " poor work ethics and too much absenteeism "

stupid biases and discrimination are the reason our country is so screwed up. It's Tamil first, Indian later. Punjabi first, Indian later.i am Maharastrian First and Indian later .It has to end. National anthem, national currency, national teams - still, we hesitate to marry our children outside our state. How can this intolerance be good for our country?.

It's not our differences that divide us , it's our Inability to recognize , accept , and celebrate those differences.Wind does not discriminateit touches everyone, everything. When two north Indiana 6 Maharatrian 4 South Indian work in same office , share project their should be one spoken language . No one should make other uncomfortable. We have designated national language or most people speak English . Why we must learn any other language unless you want it to improve yourself ? Globalization is reality . Many people move around from state to state , country to country . One year here and 6 moths their is it possible to learn local language? Impossible task for our brain .

I need to get back to my family now . Everyone is here for Thanksgiving holidays , boys want me to tell them stories . So now I have to stop but I want to write on My POV on When in Rome Do what Romans do " you will be shock but you have to wait .

Di, Iam not speaking about work nor work culture. My pov i s only with way of living when you visit other region.

When it comes to work, I haven't seen any work descrimination here. Whoever you are, work is work and it needs to done. You said north Indians are not well accepted here... But most of north Indians have migrated and rate of migration is very high from North to south due to opportunities here. Many are staying from years and working here even though they don't learn language. What I have seen complaining from them is not relating to work point of view but... living here... They wanted everyone to speak in Hindi. Also Hindi is not our national language and there are thousands of languages in our country which has it's own significance. If you wanted to be one among them, at least try to learn otherwise they will remain as guest forever And this can't be categorised as discrimination. There's no harm in learning something new even if you don't use it often.

I wanted to know about what is thanks giving day in US and we also have an off. Would like to read your post.
