k ladies lets continue our gup shup where we left..here is my take on bajirao mastaani, jodha akbar the movie and the serial, and the directors..
-AG when made jodha akbar it was first proper historical after MEA and it was applauded for its realistic approach, the sets were real and the scenes were believable! hrithik though a good actor failed to be akbar in spirit, he acted as akbar but did not become akbar! i always felt that i am watching hrithik the star and not the character, he had his hrithiksm in it just like srk has his in every character, no doubt AG is a very intelligent director and knows his craft!
-slb has created his own world of dreams, he thinks big and then he paints it all on a big canvas and then he is not afraid of giving his time energy and money in bringing those dreams alive..ashutosh shows us the truth whereas slb takes us to his inner layers of brain where dreams exist and we get lost in his created world through his magnificent frames and cinematography, its magical but unrealistic!..now does that mean its bad, i would say its his way of showing his art! some people like some don't...now the problem with BM was that a lot was said in short screen time and not much emphasis was laid upon the love story itself, it was more of family and politics, but what rose above all is the acting of the actors ...ranveer actually became peshwa, i did not even think of ranveerism in it even for a split second he was only peshwa on the screen, and priyanka along with tanvi azmi milind suman lived the characters, also bajirao's younger brother, do not know his name..i guess the director did have his hand in shaping these characters!
-last but nor the least our show jodha akbar and rajat as akbar...now what touched me after seeing rajat as akbar is what i felt after seeing ranveer as bajirao..these two actors lived their character to the T, they became one and that is a rare quality which i have seen in rajat ranveer and farhan akhtar, to some extent aamir khan! the rest of the actors do well but they bring their individuality and stardom into their characters! and most importantly its the historical characters that are remembered more than regular characters!
