Errrm...I have mixed feelings about this.

- Great that a huge band like Coldplay shot a video in India. Happy to see that.

- The song is just fine...didn't really find it outstanding.

- Having said that, I am not really over the moon about the visuals or the imagery used to depict India. I am fine with the Holi (even though it is unimaginative...) ...they chose that storyboard...so ok. But the done-to-death things like sadhus, kids dressed as Gods, temple, classical dance forms...mehhh.💔 While I understand that a lot of this might be new to the International audience (specially Coldplay's fan base...)...as an Indian, I am not impressed. The banality is exhausting.

I am not saying that India needs to be depicted as a swanky urbane landscape because that is surely not the reality...but they could have done something beyond the obvious? Specially when Chris Martin was hanging around with so many Indian "celebrities" last year when he was in India. Surely, Coldplay would have involved an Indian agency/creative team to help them shoot the video/montage?

- However, whatever is shown...it is shot well.😊

- Despite this, I do not share the outrage of some Indians who are going ballistic over "cultural appropriation" 🤔. What a load of nonsense. So what if Beyonce wore Henna or dressed as an Indian actress or whatever they were trying to portray.😆 It is a very tiring and irritating practice nowadays...all over the Internet...just protest for the sake of it. When Indians and our culture is mocked, mercilessly stereotyped and presented as a caricature in U.S. TV shows, where are all the protests...?

- Btw, what is Beyonce doing in the video?🤔 Why is she even there?

- For that matter, WHAT is Sonam Kapoor doing in that teeeny-weeeny-meeeny appearance? Huh?😆🤔

Unrealistic. Saccharine-sweet manipulation using the the good-old Indian hospitality stereotype. BA trying a Sooraj Barjatya style ad to promote their brand in India. Ufff.

I have flown BA and their flight attendants are surely nowhere close to Helena. 😆 And I have also heard from friends about their racist behavior towards Indians...of course, not all of them are like that but some are...specially towards passengers in the Economy class.

But I am sure people would find this touching.😊

On a separate note, seeing all the cooking and home food and family dining together, I missed India.😆😳
