@Sindhu,,,

and all..

I dont think Akbar wanted to embrace Christianity . It was about political reasons.?.
What are your views on this?.

First of all Akbar was a muslim king and even if he wanted to convert to christianity , he could not..It would have most probably gotten him killed...It is becoz of this only that he never really brought Jodha in public...Secondly Jalal was only curious abt Christianity...was interested in knowing abt the religion and also about the political conditions of europe..Thirdly becoming a christian in India would have gained Jalal nothing...Neither hindu support nor muslim support...Fourthly I believe that Jalal had ceased to be a muslim and remained in Islam only for political purposes...

Abhay I too believe that he had gone as far from Islam as was possible for him keeping in mind muslim nobility and political repercussions..

Yes, I too agree with that... Even Salim was inclined to Christianity so that he can get the support of Portuguese to go against Akbar. Same is Said about Akbar as well.

That said in Din Illahi, some say even Christianity was included along with Jainisim. Not sure...

Agree here..completely...

Monserrate writes > "Had Akbar not been a king and had he been a normal muslim he would have been assiasinated by someone" because his acts were not in strict conformance with Islam... He did idol worship, which is one of the biggest sins as per Islam..I have asked many of my muslim friends who tell me Idol Worship is "Gunah-e-Kabirah"(?) in Islam.. I dont know the meaning but they tell me it is not allowed, and no sin is bigger than this..😕

And, we all know Akbar worshipped idols and there is explicit record of his worshipping the idols along with princess of Amer...Infact she even maintained her shrine in the palace despite all that. 😲

Remember Maham Anga said in the serial that > "But Parasti(Idol Worship) is not allowed in our religion..."

Just see even today > there can be so many problems on religious purposes and akbar was doing all this in that time in 16th century.

Because Kings can not belong to any religion esp in a country like India you can not rule for long if u are very intolerant. Infact, he followed and DID what he liked...!.😆

He wanted to convey his conquests to the king of portugal , to show his powers via the jesuit fathers..this is also said to be one of the reasons by scholars..he was a master politician.. 😉

Dear who will not be impressed with Jesus christ...anyway I feel Jalal was most impressed by Jainism...Jainism is just a different sect of hinduism..all their rituals except prayers are same..they do not believe in the existence of god...
