Same issues as both of you mentioned ... 3 years seems a long time, and what if the show folds up earlier? I guess with TV becoming bigger and bigger, the problem of actors walking out is becoming more acute, not just their exit but problems of late coming, leaving early .. this happens in BW all the time, but with the kind of deadlines daily soaps face, one actor playing truant can cause problems for everyone.

On the other hand, what about parallel actors, they are signed up and then not called for work if the parallel tracks are not developed well ... they sit twiddling their thumbs at home. Will they not be allowed to take up other work? And that one you mentioned about paridhi being harassed at work ... that was shocking. So this seems a pretty knee jerk reaction ... doesn't cover all situations, too heavily weighted on one side.
