It is not Asad's decision to make...but deciding to keep Zoya in his life or not at this point of time is his...I am sure it's out of anger...he is not in a position to be selfless for anybody now..and I feel sorry for him because when the damage is done, he will realize what he did in a fit of anger and he will feel that self loathing again...he is a very remorseful person..and unforgiving too...he won't forgive Zoya now and later, himself..so all the character growth is back to ground zero
