Ab see their market's are fairly similar i would think but the scope of Production is different just in product alone. One is a big budget larger than life production house and then one's a mediocre one...now we wish luck and love to all am just saying that there are more conventional methods of advertising and promotions than these status messages. Obviously the time lines etc have to be taken into consideration as well and honestly i think its MM's stupidity their ideal time for this movies release would have been dec-jan instead now this movie honestly doesnt stand a chance with all the summer releases and IPL season going on. Just an opinion honestly. Table 21 for Khandelwal fans would have had a lot of hopes attached to it aswell but lord even with one decent song that movie was torture when it came and when it went no one even knew!

I heard that they postponed MAMR release because of Kai Po che coming out at the same time... how much truth there is in this not sure.

i didnt like table 21 as well…as usual 10 min rule…10 min ke bad laptop close kar diya..but i read articles that it was registered as the first success of 2013….agree with whatever u wrote abt mamr…tho i wish for barun it gets to be a superhit…

First '4 Lions', then 'Mad Midaas'. Let's see what Mitali comes up with at the tail end of film shoot/pre-production. 😉

Well all said and done 4 Lions did manage to put him on the map in a big way and make him and his character a household name. Hopefully if MAMR can just get him some recognition for his work and get him some bigger projects that will serve the purpose i guess coz i do not think MAMR is going to be path-breaking in any way. If at all it may be quite average but Barun and Kavi may make it watchable.
22 Yards seems interesting and promising script wise. Plus Salim Sulaiman as music directors is a big plus coz most of their music is very good. Bas keep Barun well groomed and focussed and release the movie soon.
But i do agree that all these PH's and PR agencies need to zip their lips and stop all these status updates .

Ash where did you hear this? MAMR started dubbing in late Jan/Feb ... KPC was just few days away from release then.

I agree with everything you said.

4 Lions did a great job as story tellers (at least initially) but were super bad with their online rants. Mad Midaas is given to verbal diarrhea ever so often.

To be honest as much gushing as there was on the forum about the Calcutta meet and greet, was it really needed? Should they not be focused on working on the movie than spend their cycles first getting the fans together, then meeting them and then after there is a drama, going on twitter and saying, 'there should not be any more meet and greets'?

I wish only good things for Barun and really want his movies to do well and he to be noticed in a big way. But I want all his PH to keep shut and do their work. Stop interacting with online fans. There are better ways to do publicity of the movie. Please, in this, go the conventional way.

The IPK/Sarun/Barun fans are already a crazy bunch given to immature spamming and bashing. And they have all had samples on their various FB and twitter pages. Why add fuel to the fire?

I completely agree that everyone needs to lay off interacting with online fans because when one is hiding behind an online identity you don't really know whether they really are fans or others just out to cause trouble and have some fun at the expense of others.
I too think M&G's are not necessary and definitely not like this. If there is an event like the Kenya match or the Dubai play and they arrange a meet around that it is a different thing. Hopefully everyone has learnt their lessons from the recent fiasco and will proceed with caution.
I really hope after the promised pic, MM just announces the release date and then comes out with the promo. All this online interaction is just a breeding ground for disaster😡
