LOL yes Emily is married....that is toh old news......she got married last year only. Yes she's pregnant and is due sometime later this year......there is frenzied speculation among all the Bones spoiler communities about how they will incorporate Emily's pregnancy into the show and if they'll show Brennan pregnant too or something like that.

Season 6 overall has just not managed to work up to its potential I feel.....despite stray very good epis but overall.....it's lighthearted enough, sure....but BnB-wise.....a lot of squandered opportunities that just make me go "ehhh" even as I remember now that the season finale will be here before we know it.


*Edit: Yes, I've seen the Pursuit of Happyness.....it's a touching movie.....depressing in many ways especially the stark realities of what some ppl have to face....but a nice movie overall......nothing really epic about it....but Will Smith acted very well as did his son.

I watched Shutter Island this weekend actually.....lol.......good movie.....very gripping and suspenseful and even spooky.....but I kinda had a feeling all along about what the ending would turn out to be......but nevetheless very interestingly executed and a good engaging movie to watch.....the way it makes you pause and rethink every few moments about what the mystery could be and how they're executing it.

Oooooooh I did not know Emily was married last year. But then I do not know half the things I should ... LOL. Too lazy to get caught up and all ...

It'll actually be nice if they could incorporate Emily's pregnancy into the story. Why? Because Season 6 has been mehhh ... like you said. Despite the potential and despite Hodgins and Angela's adorable story. And so even I can imagine how thanda the finale will be. The pregnancy angle will provide the necessary twist to the story. Because BnB are at a deadlock right now. Brennan seems relieved that Hannah is gone and Booth seems heartbroken. There is nothing more than that. I can see moments of Brennan's vulnerability, but other than that there is nothing much lending itself to the evolution in BnB's relationship. So the baby might just be the needed catalyst that BnB need. So there are three possibilities:

1) The baby might not be there
2) The baby might not be Booth's
3) The baby might be Booth's

And if the baby is Booth (somehow) either than natural way or Brennan's way - it just might take their relationship to the next level. But the makers love to disappoint us. So let's see what happens.

RE: Shutter Island - I agree with you. 3/4 of the way in, I could guess the suspense of the movie as well. And I found the movie dark, disturbing and too graphic at times. It almost had a Gothic feel to it. In spite of that, I found myself drawn to cleverly planted twists and turns... and Leonardo was quite good in this movie as well. I actually liked the ending too, where Leonardo fakes lunacy just enough to be taken to the gallows...

Booth is the person who's become too flippant and complacent not really wanting to discuss or do anything about anything anymore.....and they are so past the point of those typical sort of poignant insights....especially given the recent randomness of the elevator epi where they supposedly addressed some questions "directly"....I don't find myself BELIEVING that much in them as a couple anymore.....timepass partners at best.....and an attitude of ....oh IF we get together, fine....nahin toh chalta hai......it's odd :S

Re: Shutter Island....yeah it was gory in some bits but then I've seen much worse....in Bones only I've seen much worse.....lol....but yeah Leonardo acted very well.....I was getting a slight deja vu of Inception in some bits too regarding the mental wife.....very similar roles he did almost back to back in a sense, nahin? lol.....but yeah the end was good.....him choosing to portray himself as mad rather than having to live "sanely" with the knowledge of himself as a "monster" who killed his wife.

I also watched Star Trek this weekend......that prequel waali movie that came out a couple of years back.....really enjoyed that too....I was a fan of Star Trek the series that aired on TV.....well the original one from the 60s-70s I mean.....it used to air on Star Plus during my childhood when I lived in India and I really enjoyed watching it......all of the iconic characters like Kirk, Spock, Sulu etc....I thought it was such a cool show....haha.....I'm a sci-fi nerd in some ways too :P

Anyways this movie was well made and much better than the lame 90s TV series....this one kept true to the original essence of Star Trek....that Sylar guy from Heroes did a good job as Spock....and they showed the old Spock too....lol
