Booth is the person who's become too flippant and complacent not really wanting to discuss or do anything about anything anymore.....and they are so past the point of those typical sort of poignant insights....especially given the recent randomness of the elevator epi where they supposedly addressed some questions "directly"....I don't find myself BELIEVING that much in them as a couple anymore.....timepass partners at best.....and an attitude of ....oh IF we get together, fine....nahin toh chalta hai......it's odd :S
Re: Shutter Island....yeah it was gory in some bits but then I've seen much worse....in Bones only I've seen much worse.....lol....but yeah Leonardo acted very well.....I was getting a slight deja vu of Inception in some bits too regarding the mental wife.....very similar roles he did almost back to back in a sense, nahin? lol.....but yeah the end was good.....him choosing to portray himself as mad rather than having to live "sanely" with the knowledge of himself as a "monster" who killed his wife.
You know what Anu - I get the same feeling about Booth thesedays. After the elevator episode, all my hopes of seeing them as a couple washed out. Don't get me wrong, it's not like I don't want them to be a couple. But after building such an emotionally powerful crescendo to be let down by an anticlimax, is disappointing to say the least. BnB had such awesome chemistry from Season 1-5 and Season 6 seems like such a big letdown so far that it makes me wonder if BnB are either some burned out old couple who are simply just getting along, or timepass partners, like you said. So much so that if we simply see them as a couple in Season 7, it won't be credible. They have to build-up to that point once again. And it could take a lot more than one season. Who knows? But to be sure, Season 6 has been the demise of BnB's chemistry - thanks to Hannah whom the makers were obsessively in love with!
Re: Shutter Island - yup! You are bang on - it seemed similar to Inception where Leo played a disturbed individual who was responsible for his wife's death. I too was surprised when I saw that both movies were released in the same year.
Re: Star Trek - I haven't seen Star Trek in a while .... my DH likes these kind of movies. Maybe I should watch it too! 😃 I have seen some volumes of Star wars ... didn't fancy it as much though.
Edit: Heyyyyyyyyy Kavya *hugs* How are you? I can see the picture :-) I beleive the person sitting and munching a biscuit is Dhoni ... wonder who's behind he's sitting on though? 😆
