I knew I loved IF for a reason. Do you know you are the first people to agree that maybe KKHH wasn't so 'brilliant'. No doubt the force of SRK and Kajol was electrifying but the characterizations and the plot. Divya I agree with every sentiment of yours. See, i told you we are more alike in substance than form. :P

For me after amnesia tracks I hate stories where the girl for a guy, pines over him, the idiot, suffers and cries and after a lot of commotion, as a reward, she 'gets' the idiot! This irks me to the point of insanity! KKHH being the most famous, but then I just watch HDDCS and I begin to feel so much better!

DDLJ is a classic, again agreeing with your points Divya. However due to the limitations of film, I feel that there was so much more that could have been explored in terms of East meets West cultures and manners. DMG did a wonderful job of bringing to the front those issues that plague many today, with Sidma but killed that off for just the offensive!

My top Aamir films, in terms of his acting would be Ghajini, for he played a more subdued character than before and just shone! Rang de basanti where he was just a star, 'yeh hindi jaante hai!' Classic. Dil chahta hai for his natural 'confidence' NOT arrogance becoming! Rangeela again for that 'innocent' masti (that banana scene, that police scene, that heartbreak small ring) and Taare zammen pe for just fine acting!

In terms of films overall, probably the same again, but I would add, Andaz apna apna, Lagaan, and 3 idiots.

I don't think Aamir boycotted for that reason. Personally he seemed uncomfortable with the whole notion of 'awards' and publicity on the whole, so that when he did not get them anyway, he maybe thought well they won't miss me anyway, so I won't offend anyone if I don't attend. Just my opinion of him. As I said he is Guru Dutt' heir more than Dilip Kumar, that their legacy are those characterizations and films that we carry in our affected hearts as opposed to an awe inspiring body of work that leaves its mark in film history. It is wanting to mark a change within people rather than leave a mark in the world, in that way inciting revelations within people, so that slowly, eventually they result in revolutions in the world. They may not be 'remembered' but their actions' consequences and intentions live on regardless.

That is how I see it. An actor as an entertaining artist rather than an actor as an entertainer alone.

The difference is subtle but significant for me and in my opinion the world.

As you can see I am now officially a Goldie! I have a smile to match! :) :P

There was a time a while back that I did not think I would remain on IF long enough. Now it seems that I will remain the 'Goldie' for where would I take my thoughts now? MJHT was the only source that inspired such acts of expressions that just had to find a plane to flow upon, overflowing from within my soul, I could not build a dam strong enough, I did not want to do so.

As you can see I have new siggies, what can i say I love weddings. I thought the thread and idea was so cute. It is shame that Nupur never had her dream wedding. Then again he has Mayank so I won't feel sorry for her too much, she never needed sympathy only empathy.

This new article about the 'wedding planner' scares me. Something doesn't feel right. Also is it true that there will be no 'special episode for the end?

I may be reading too much into this, but something feels weird. Everyone is so laid back, almost as if it is not going to end.

Anyway I hope to see you both here next week, as I have the week off and would love your company.

I was down with some severe cold cough etc..I was hardly online..I couldnt really write anything in the past 4 days though I loved ur thread to bits sabah 🤗 ..and yes congo onbeing a goldie :D

unlike me who has verbal diarrhoea, u r a woman of few well spoken words ⭐️

and Teju is one of the most humorous writers on the forum whose humour I can relate to and appreciate in totality.. I remember ur yearly round up post on MN teju :) Mou made an amazing post I posted my views there including the madness that I went thru.. I m really very sad that MJHT is ending though I dint want it to drag and get ruined and gain my hatred 😆 but yeah, looks like even I fell a few times on my head teju :S 🤣

I wud reply to ur earlier post, not now though..will do so soon ( i loved aamir in rangeela..how cud i have forgotten this one!)

Abt Arjun and rati., LOL I find it funny how ppl go out of the way to make it look like there are no bigger enemies than the two 😆 makes it very mills n boon-ish to me 😆 (cant really say cos I havent read any, but the inspired FFs make me think that).. whatever they are .."enemies" is a funny way to put it 😆

nupur did have her dream wedding to mayank, it is not the aisle but the person who you walk upto is important, i dont think nupur is fond of white wedding anyway

thats an intresting topic you posted sabah, as to what defines cheating\copying, a thin line divides copying and getting inspired, everybody gets inspired lokking at something, it is difficult to pull ideas out of thin air unless one is immensely talented, the trick is not to let others know who you got inspired from and add your own element to it. i am not saying this in reference to siggy making coz i know nothing about it. but in general, say take JK rowling for example, she penned the best-selling harry potter and if you look closely nothing in HP is new, even my fav character dumbledore is inspired from a lord of the rings character gandalf, they resemble each other as well, both have long white hair and beard, wear cloaks and are the leaders of respective wars but it is not termed plagiarism coz they both have different character quirks. i hope i made sense.

MN are having twins and guess what your favorite chironjee is coming😆 do catch up the last epi, i only wish shilpa aunty was back as well.

about mjht ending, everyone is laid-back coz everyone accepted it.

They'll forever be stars!! They are the mayank and nupur who stole our hearts , I wont ever forget that and pretend I hate either because of anything...and besides I do think its Que sera sera

i read mou's post, mou is on my list too😎 i am making it sound like some hit-list , i enjoy reading her posts , though she does not post on the forum much, her MN-the adorable couple thread was a huge hit and finished 150 pages i remember, i will post there.

about arjun-rati well, like you said que sera sera, if its meant to be, they will get together, but i hate the way the forum makes it sound like they are enemies, they know the fan following they have, why would they not want to work together and they are good friends which is obvious, the forum needs to stop over-reacting for everything.

Its over and like Arjun says the feeling is only just sinking in...not yet there... I'll manage fine cos I m like that ..(hopeless ie 🤣 ).. I felt very thrilled after watching ITa, I was more than glad to know that my fav actors are also good hosts and good human beings.. :) I adored the way they behave with all..they were fun and entertaining but they also managed to be respectful with elders, sweet with the kids and all.. I m going gaga over them 🤣 hopeless me :D

@Teju, it doesnt matter how we fall in love, what matters is whether the love is real.. ! 🤣 (ok ignore the smiley I do mean that ! :) ) I remember ur post very clearly ...cos it made it a impact on me ..I had loved it so much, how can I not remember :) I know there are many many posts that people make but only few remain with u :) I even remember ur response (I felt flattered 😳 ) .. Abt the Adhiraj n suhaani, I guess we were right in our own ways,..not calling them names ofcourse but about the fact that they simply dint fit into MJHT nor were they able to make any impact with their acting, I hope they have improved now.. !

I havent read m n b or nora robots.. I love all those MN FFs though.. :) I think they make up in many ways for my lack of knowledge of the romantic novels.. actually i do read love stories.. like I have read love story, a walk to remember, bridges of madison county, message in a bottle etc :D

Abt the SG wedding, I think I dint like it too much.. Dunno,. I m still not ok with the white wedding being shown as Gunjan;s dream.. it doesnt make any sense to me, I know I need to move on..but somehow i found it odd, cos I Remember Gunjan;s dream as described during Nupur;'s marriage.. I find it hard to believe that a girl from small town would have a dream of a white wedding, just the way I look at it. I did wish that they showed a colourful wedding (LOL I m talking from Nupur's POV 😆 ) but yeah its done..and I m no one to complain..😆

The cold is better though I still have a little infection so not fully cured ..but otherwise well..

🤗 I know ending of MJHT ...but may be i had already realised it was running towards closure cos I dont feel very sad,. sometimes I miss the thought that I just cant imagine something and think wow how would that look on MN ...now thats something I'll miss and also those MN surprised.. :(

I alternate from happily content to tearfully sad and back again through a detour of heartfelt loss.

The after party video was cheering but still I don't know what to do now with myself, so I am throwing myself into plan c. hoping it will carry me onwards. However ArTi both are taking long breaks. Understandably, for working non stop for two years must take its toll. Still I am at a loss, or rather gained a loss. For loss is not like a void or emptiness but rather a new presence you feel in your core, the pith of your soul. It taints every feeling in black. A stinging felt in your bones.

I am saving ita awards for when I hit rock bottom.

I love a walk to remember too, the film was good too, but I preferred 'keith' an old time favourite.

White wedding to go with all the 'logic' of that last episode ONLY saved by the ultimate scene! A writer once said that a Good end can mend all the past wrongs. In a way it is true, it is that last feeling that lingers not the ones before, Then again, as I said before

It is the journey that is more important than that destination, for we spend more time in the journey, more moments there, then that final end, and thereby our realization of emotions at that end destination, the 'taste' of fruits of our harvest, are wholly dependent upon those moments journeying there!

Sometimes we become 'lost' seeking those destinations that we disregard the journey's scenery. However MJHT was a beautiful and prosperous journey for me, that I intend to continue, carrying its spirit within my soul for in truth there is no end destination upon this route, just a pit stop until we meet again.
