I am missing talking with friends on IF, most log in but few comment. I have PMed DT team about a DOTW, but couldn't think of a topic, I mean a topic that wouldn't incite a riot. If you think of any please pm them, I have a feeling soon people will stop logging in too.

I missed all the 'drama' of the forum. However one thing about coming late is that with distance and time people are ready to listen to alternative views. A few times I have posted views about, say chirunji or other cameo's sheena even lolitaji, and people say 'oh, that is a different way of looking at it' and then I ask which way they saw it before and I am told the 'ugly' episode of IF. I am not saying you can not disagree, but there is an etiquette to disagreement.

That is something that needs to be learnt Sabah, disagreements can be cordial, disagreements can lead to great debates and great friendships..I made a few friends after disagreeing with them

but I seriously dont get the personal bit and the hurting sentiments that people resort to.. :(
KKKG, I am now displaying my KKHH face. DDLJ gal. I agree with Divya, it may depend upon the age. LIke Sholay, which is a classic, but still I fast forward to the parts with amitabh or 'Basanti' even though my aunty would 'tut at me for doing so. DDLJ isn't perfect but I like MJHT there was something, is something that makes me regard it well.

Its always the age, and there is quite a lot abt MJHT.. :)

Guys like Mayank do exist, but the real question is are you a gal like Nupur? I do not doubt you Teju, nor your charm nor your beauty. However I know so many girls who talk about 'I want a guy like this....list of 101 impossible or implausible' whilst oblivious to the fact that if a guy like that turned up, he probably wouldn't last past their first conversation. If you truly want Mayank, you have to strive to be worthy of him.

My journey to MJHT. I have this friend who watches Indian dramas 24/7. Seriously, it is running as back ground noise in her house. So whenever I visited I 'had' to watch. There are a few things I like about Indian serials, as I mentioned before, the heart upon the sleeve, the illuminating moments, but on the whole I would poke fun, kindly no malice. Then I fell for KSG comedic acting, also discussed previously. Then DMG went the route I loathe the most, AMNESIA! I hated it, so whilst searching for older episodes I found Gagan's Kash moments, and was happily working my way through them UNTIL One day, I clicked on her youtube channel. Hey shona and MN. I loved it, found current episode which was the scene where Nupur is trying to say I love you to Mayank on the terrace, unsuccessfully! Fell for her endearing cuteness, and downloaded all the episodes from the beginning and began 'THE era of MJHT'

The funny thing is, I remember when MJHT began, my friend was raving about this excellent new show, showed me an episode, the part where Mayank is talking to the gang in the canteen about their plan to rag morena sisters, and thought 'Man, this girl watches a lot of rubbish!' Yes, I am eating my words now. My friend is constantly reminding me, and whenever i say I don't like it or I don't think so, says 'We will see, remember MJHT! Very infuriating. 😆 My heart is permanently trying to make me look the fool!

There is something about them I agree, to think I never thought much of serials or those who watch it :)) here I am eating my own words as well..

Well my Mn story is weird like i told earlier, I fell in love with MN chemistry at first sight...so I turned into a mad woman who watched every episode ...and then I got desperate to know more abt the show and the actors.. so I wud keep searching google, found some old interviews of arjun n rati ..etc...eventually i chanced about the MN paradise in IF

and slowly became a visitor there...silent ..and intended to say inconspicious... wrote once ..then again and I have no idea when it became so many posts.. found so many frnds.. hmmm ...I m not the silent in the BG types I suppose 😆

One thing I have pondered in real life, we are the effect of all the past moments affecting our hearts, but then does our future too force an affect too upon our present, pulling us towards a destined meet.

I only mention this because on TV writers know where they intend to take the characters, so in a way the characters and actors know too, so you would expect that 'knowing' nature, that loss of the unknown aspect of life, to be apparent in the scene, the characterizations, and most often it does HOWEVER MJHT had this ability to keep a hold of it. So many times I was holding my heart, fearing the next, the actors the words, I did not know what to expect next, yet was able to hope that destiny would 'save the day.'

Another reason MJHT seemed so real. Very remarkable.

Read through this thread, varying interesting views, I think like u once said sabah, this has to do with the people we are than the way its shown. The perception matters..like if u are a romantic u say he always loved Anjali, if u r practical with not much of a romantic gene in u😆 ..u'll say he was not attracted to anjali ever etc.. again it also depends on ur liking for the actress etc..

Anyway, I highly recommend Wonderfalls, a wonderful creation however got canceled after 13 episodes, but they end it well and on good form. The lead Character is just like you Teju, so I know you will get along fine.

All the episodes are on youtube but if you have trouble then let me know I will upload them for you.

Divya, did you see the positions open for BB, i think you should apply for the writer position. I cannot encourage you enough.

HAve u seen the "lost" series? I dont think it replaces MJHT ...just asking...for me nothing will replace MJHT.. 😆

EDIT 2. I just replied on my thread to someone, however, if I may, I would like to post the comment here for further analysis.
Again MJHT writers always played well with, history, they kept history present, for we are the culmination of all the past moments up until now. Only once I hated the way they 'changed' the past with the explanation of the Dhruv track, that they came to Mumbai to be rid of him, it just did not mesh well with the whole feeling of MJHT as it TRULY began.

I agree, that was just a comfortable story twist and I disliked that immensely.. I also dint like the way Bauji and Bui dint appear for SG engagement.. (leaving aside season 2 and all the disappearances.. )

MJHT managed that well enough Sabah..its strange, they managed to tie up a lot which generally becomes difficult.. I have noticed while writing my FF, if we write with a character sketch in my mind, the changes and feelings of he characters depend on the past present and future..well its most past and present but somewhere along the line for the story, the future is equally important
