You found this season to be better than last season??😲😲😆....Wow....I'll admit that as a judge Arshad Warsi is more qualified than a joker like Chunky Pandey but otherwise the show has totally changed from what made it different and enjoyable...this elimination process....pathetic....Shilpa is annoying as a judge in parts and Vaibhavi kind of lost some credibility in my eyes as a judge after her stint on JDJ....as much as the DID mentors/judges annoy me sometimes, I'd take them ANYDAY over ppl like these....somehow I've always found something more likeable and genuine about those ppl overall....yes even the hilarious 'kya baat, kya baat, kya baat' has become iconic in it's own way😆 Haha okay, I didn't anywhere say that this season was better than last season. I dont make snap judgements like that based on just one episode dude! 😆 But I do think the judges are deffo better... Last time only Malaika Arora was great, but even she was a little biased sometimes... still she's one of my fav judges. This time I like Arshad and Vaibhavi... and Shilpa isn't as annoying for me as Chunky Pandey for sure. Atleast they have some knowledge of dance, some professional expertise. About Vaibhavi losing credibility from JDJ, I wouldn't know as I haven't watched that show. DID mentors/judges... Haha I was making my comparison with Mithun only... Because he is the main judge who kind of holds the fate of the contestants... Just like Arshad/Vaibhavi/Shilpa do in this show... He plays a deciding factor in the earlier stages anyways on who gets out. While, I think he's really sweet and sorta cute with his trademarks, sometimes funny, he is so not fit for being a judge in DID. Maybe we can agree to disagree, but I'd prefer an annoying judge who knows about the technicalities of dance than someone like Mithun who is likable but not in anyway fit to judge a dancing competition of such calibre and talent as DID... I feel the grand-master should be the most experienced judge of them all, because he's the neutral party in the gang.... But MithunDa doesn't seem knowledgable enough for me. The main problem with him is that he has no concise opinion of his own... He'll praise the dance randomly but without any proper explanatiions on what he liked in it. Seems like he just goes along with what the mentors have said. However the mentors, I absolutely agree with you... They're brilliant, particularly Terrence... They top ZND2 judges anyday... The only only thing I dont like about the DID mentors is there is always that danger that they wont be fair or unpartial due to being personally involved in the competition...Terrence and Remo are still fine but especially Geeta... She can be reallly partial at times towards her team-mates or against the opposing team-players... But I guess that's to be blamed on the format... It puts a bad taste in one's mouth though when a judge puts down a dancer from the opposing team simply for competition's sake. But still as judges, you're right even I'd take those three anyday over the ZND2 mentors 😊...

And coming to the performances....NOTHING wowed me in the first epi....NOTHING stood out....Last season was far FAR better....I think the contestants were so much better last season...the presence of ppl like Rakhi and Abhishek this season just makes everything nautanki-worthy....I don't find myself warming up to the contestants and liking them...or their dancing much. Haven't watched the full least season... But I agree that there weren't any wow dances... However I thought Aamir and Rashmi's performance was likable. The group acts were frankly nothing much to rave about... The dance from the girls side was unsynchronized... and while the guys had a touching theme, there was hardly any group dancing in it...

And lastly....Sushant as Gandhiji?? LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO🤣 HAHAHAHA that made me go WTF as well! So out of the blue! 😆

Edited to add: Btw I too think that last seasons format is way better than this seasons and that the elimination concept is crap... Haha I've already ranted about it at length with Kavya in the previous page... Ruins the show for me seriously...

I watched the Sat epi...most of it....missed the Friday one so thanks for posting that vid Anu. What a great dancer! And at this age...it's quiet amazing...These kids are awesome dancers and sooo adorable...I m liking it more than I like the DID second season....It got boring after a few weeks...I hope that's not the case with this DID junior..

And HAWWWWWW@ my Januables being thrown out of the show...lol...Seriously, even I m not surprised...I can imagine how snooze worthy they might be...I plan to catch at least one epi...Can anyone tell me when it airs?

Speaking of group-dances, I think THIS is what a group-dance should be like... where every person gets to dance... I don't watch the show but I got this from so you think you can dance australia season 1 finale where all the 16 eliminated dancers dance in the order that they've been eliminated and then the top 4 join in and then the judges and choreographers join, then its back to the top 20.

LOL Sonia, if you haven't even followed all of last season of ZND or JDJ2 then yeah, let's just agree to disagree :-)

Last year's ZND had a pretty genuine bonhomie b/w the contestants...Delnaaz as the captain of the girls team was adorable and Ali was hilarious too....The attempts at "sparring" this season are REALLY lame. Some contestants are good dancers but so far I haven't seen that 'wow' spark to any of them....choreography isn't that great either.

Frankly I don't really care if the judges are that "knowledgable" about dance when the very performances only are nothing to rave about *rolls eyes*....I'd rather watch the class performances on DID anyday....and I don't follow all the American dance shows you watch so I can't comment on that.

GG I've no recommendations for you in romance, since I think you've pretty much read all the romances I've read... and seriously I think YOU should be recommending some to me since I think you've read far more than me. 😆 Plus you more readily read other chic-lit authors... BTW, did you get to read Julie James new book? Perhaps you can start off on that... I haven't read it, but I LOVE Practise Makes Perfect...

Btw I remember you not reading much of Susan Elizabeth Phillips. Can I recommend 'Match me if you can'... It's a hilarious novel and very enjoyable...

I've two other books to recommend... but feel free to ignore them as they aren't chic-lit or romance. First one is 'When You Reach Me' by Rebecca Stead.... This one is actually a young-adult book... I only read it cause it won the Newbery award... However I've never read a book which is catered to the 12 yr old kid to be so thought-provoking and at the same time enjoyable. I don't know how to explain the books appeal... But it's a very different book, from its format (the chapter titles all include some names from this game) and an amazing reading experience! At its core, it's a novel about growing up... It has a little mystery, fantasy, romance... but that's what it basically is...And it explores the issues and lessons in it so sensitively and simply that it's one of my favs from this year... However, it's not everyone's cup of tea... The story might be difficult to follow in the beginning but after 1 or 2 chapters you should be able to get it and expect a smooth sail to the ending...

The 2nd book is the 'Hunger Games' by Suzanne Collins.... I can't really do its story justice... so I'll give you the link to its synopsis on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Hunger-Games-Suzanne-Collins/dp/0439023483/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1272833307&sr=8-1
Now actually I don't really like violent books... I like mystery novels but I've never been very fond of action novels... This novel proves to be the exception... or maybe not... Because it's more strategy than action. It's more character-based than plot-based... It's targetted towards young-adults so it's definitely not gory... And its just not about these hunger games... it's so much more than that... it deals with issues of loyalty, rebellion, courage etc... Also the heroine is refreshing... She's independant, loyal, brave, witty, smart and deffo not a damsel in distress but still flawed and relatable... Very different from the twilight-version of heroines you tend to expect in novels... It's a proper fantasy like Harry Potter would be... has a trilogy and all... Except its a different type of fantasy. The 1st chapter in this is very slow... but 2nd or 3rd chapter onwards its unputdownable IMO.

So yeah those are my recommendations! 😃

@bold: Ditto...so far I'm liking it more too....the kids are damn adorable and amazingly talented! And honestly the auditions are fun with Terence-Remo-Geeta...even that Sandip guy isn't that bad...I think he'll be a decent judge...I'm enjoying DID Lil masters😊

In this performance, I thought it was brilliant the way they choreographically fit bharatnatyam onto that aloo chat song...and the girl was freakin amazing!
