hello...CGMians...and non-CGMians too!!! [ofcourse]😆
few days ago I commented that I'll write abt chadragupta Maurya's 3rd wife [other than durdhara and Cornelia]...here is what I Found in a book titled 'Chandragupta Maurya and His Times' by Radhakumud Mookerjee...😉

When Chandragupta Maurya replced Dhanananda from the throne of Magadha..Dhanananda was allowed to leave the palace with all the stuffs and luggage he needed...I this Exile dhana was accompanied by His most loyal minister...Amatya Rakshas...Then while moving out of the palace...dhananand's daughter saw Chandragupta Maurya and instantly fell in love with him at first sight...She expressed her feelings in front of her dad...Dhana and showed a esire to marry Chandragupta Maurya...Listening this...Dhanananda first became very angry...but later let her marry Chandragupta...Chandragupta also didn't refuse this proposal...

NOW a question arises in mind that why did Dhana allow her daughter to marry his biggest enemy...one who demised the Nanda Empire...Well this is the reason... there was a tradition in Kshatriyas that time... a Kshatriya girl could marry any Kshatriya whom she liked and she wouldn't be stopped by his father if his father is a true Kshatriya...Thus, Dhana wanted to prove himself a true Kshatriya so he didn't stop his daughter...and thus once a princess of Magadha became one of the queens of Magadha...DESTINY!!!!!!

[now my question (and this time u just have to answer in either YES or NO!!!! plz do atleast this much for the sake of discussion abt history)
The question is : Do you think it is true????
plz do reply my post!!!!!!😃

well well finally u posted it now. 😆 u know my answer right 😉

anyway even i heard of it in many and it was shown in the old serial Chanakya too Dhana's daughter got married to CGM.

************Edited******************

actually there are many stories reg chandragupta's wives.

one of them is Dhruvaswamini a girl saved by chanakya when she was ill-iterated in the time when chandragupta was in a journey to secure an special Armour never found by anyone.

one more i didn't get the name but she is the princess of Lichchhavis. their son was Samudragupta.

we know abt Dhurdhara and her son Bindusara,

Helen and now Dhana's daughter 😆

fully confused must research a lot. 😆 will give the details slowly have lot much to update before this 😃 😛

hi friends though i said i will be updating about Chanakya in the next post but before doing that i want to give brief details about the history of Gandhara which has also major role in this.

i am just giving the imp. aspects and skipped most of the things related to the successor kings and the wars and all. though many of them might have referred to Wiki. here are the brief details.
the details will be in 2-3 posts as its a bit lenghty.

here is the map of the 16 mahajanapads (States) which were very influenced during that days.
