Nandini reaches Matrix and she waits for Chandra in his private room. Nandini is coming to Matrix first time after her marriage. Though she helps him in preparing reports at home, she never came to the office.
Chandra came out after some time.He asked "Nandini, did you get the book."
Nandini hands over the book and retells whatever she saw sometime before and alleges that Helen does some foul play.Chandra laughs and allays her fear "Helen,is very professional. She will not take any revenge with either me or Matrix for not marrying her. He assures that Helen will not do any treachery with Matrix.Nandini,I have to go now.I will come home for lunch .Bye ."
Nandini left Matrix with lot of questions regarding Helen. As soon as she reached their house,she forgot the incident .
After couple of hours , Arjun came to meet Chandra in his office.He is a politician and belongs to one of the major ruling party.Arjun is married to Kripa and owns Alto factory in Guragaon and one Chemical factory in Agra. Both Arjun and Kripa were Chandra's college friends. Arjun came into Chandra's cabin. There he beheld Chandra was dictating notes to Ashok.
Chandra gestured Arjun to be seated in the sofa which was placed in the eastern corner of the room. He was comfortably seated and took a magazine to read. Once Ashok vacated the room, he began to speak.
Arjun" Heard that you have bought a football team in the auction for coming tournament.Congratulations"
Chandra "yes,that's right. Thanks yara. Myself and Malay had a neck to neck competition to buy that team. I won the deal. I think life has become so compassionate towards me atlast. You won't believe,I am very happy these days".
Arjun "Chandu Iam very happy for you!I can see that from your face."
Chandra "Yes Arjun,Life is very good. My world revolves around Dev , Nandini and my mother. I am very thankful to God "
Arjun takes a sip of tea " How is your ex Sasur Vishnu?"
Chandra replies "He is good.Why ? What happened?"
Arjun in stern voice" Look,you are my friend. I am warning you Don't trust that man .He is manipulating you and blackmails you in name of your late wife . I still doubt that he has indeed killed Vaishu and Praghosh."
Chandra gets irritated "Fir se.. unhone kya bigada tumara?"
Arjun crisply "He is eating your life..Isn't that bad ...?"
Chandra clarifies" I don't think so..He is so genuine."
Arjun calmly" My dear Idiot,he is just acting. Don't believe him."
Chandra snarls at him "Why should I believe you Arjun ,on this matter?"
Arjun explains "I am a pucca politician and I have my own spy system,else it is very difficult to be a politician in India . Vishnu is a perfect monarch. If you going to do anything against that vile old man,you will be shown the door to the other world. It's up to you. To believe or not.Chandra ,my friend,it's high time you stand on your own legs. I don't want you to spend your life waiting for your Sasur's order .You should have your own business."
Chandra argued with Arjun "So you say ,He does not trust me?"
Arjun "It is apparently written on walls. Be careful !His motto his to make you his slave."
Chandra inquired "Why you are so specific Arjun this time?"
Arjun continued " See,do you know Mr Goyal?"
Chandra of course he is the legal adviser of our company."
Arjun "See Chandra,I have my own network to provide information. Do you know reporter Sawant?"
Chandra laughs out loudly"How can I forget him? That fellow gave a live coverage of the events which unfolded in Manali."
Arjun articulated" He is a very clever person. It seems one day he was waiting in the Goyal's office. Sawant saw Vishnugupt entering the Goyal's office.Boom,he started to overhear to write some gossips for a leading corporate magazine.It looks like Vishnugupt does not believe you and is desperate to make Bindu as his successor to Matrix. Vishnu is apprehensive that you may start to favor you other children through your second marriage.Sawant told me this casually when he came to interview me for the upcoming election."
Chandra " Rubbish... I don't believe"
Arjun " Trust me.. Why don't you apply your mind?"
Chandra demands" Arjun... I don't understand..why he should do this to me?"
Arjun explains patiently" See its very simple.He wants to rule the corporate world. If you take your heads ,then you will surpass him.Naturally he does not like that. Thats why he kept you with him in some pretext or other."(pauses) "Think it over again. I am leaving now I have to go to Party office. Saying so he made an exit."
Chandra began to ponder. First time he began to think whether his mentor is really manipulating his life for his own personal benefits.
At that point ,Chandra's phone rang it was Nandini. She reminded him to come home for lunch. When Chandra was about to leave,he was stopped by Helen.
Helen asked" Chandra,how are you?"
Chandra answered "I am fine Helen"
Helen" How is Nandini?
Chandra "She is good.Anything important you want to convey Helen?"
Helen " See ,we have internal audit in Matrix by next week. I find it difficult since Nandini's place is vacant.If you don't mind,can you send Nandini to work until we find another replacement".
Chandra "Helen... I will speak to her.If it's acceptable to her,I have no objection "
Helen "Thanks Chandra'. Chandra bids goodbye and makes an exit".
Chandra comes home for lunch. As usual Nandini is making Bindu to eat. He learns his mother has gone to Chitrakut Tulsidas Swami Ashram .So Morni will be back after a week. Nandini is now managing whole household all by herself.
Chandra sits before the dining table and Nandini serves him lunch. He is quiet taken back to find sambar and curry.
Chandra " Wow Sambar and curry"
Nandini "I know you like this very much.Swasti said me this . I have used my amma's sambar recipe to make this... Do you like it... Bindu just now ate curd rice.Iam going to make him sleep "without waiting for his reply she went inside along with Bindu.
Chandra took his meals and went straight to his room.
