San, to say the truth,this was not a part of my original plot. I happen to see Chandramukhi movie on sunday. I took that idea and imbibed here. Here both Chandra and Nandini are affected by the past.
More than that our Nandini quotes Chandra Nandini to the tribal. She does not have any idea about Durdhara or Chandragupta maurya.

Chapter 18- A Sylvan Idyll

In Resort in Manali

It was 20hrs since Chandra and Nandini lost their contacts with rest of the team in Matrix. Their friends lost the confidence with passage of time. So they decided to lodge a complaint .Ashwath, Resort Manager Kamal and Shukla filed a formal complaint in the police station.

The police station in Manali was very calm and peaceful.It looks like the residents of Manali are very good ,that's why we can find police station empty without any criminals. Inspector Dheeraj ,is a honest and straightforward person.When he received the complaint ,he immediately started out the search mission.

After filing the missing complaint Shukla informed Vishnugupt and Morni. Radhika informed Nandini's side. Morni ,her family and Padmanabhan along with his extended family swarmed Manali.Vishnu too accompanied them .Helen cut shorted her tour and joined the rest in Manali.

Vishnu was restlessly speaking to the DIG of Himachal Pradesh in phone. "Sir,it I been more than 24 hours since they have gone missing. Do you know who he is?He is Matrix CEO and my son in law. How can you expect me to keep quiet ? I want him immediately before me?

The DIG tried to console him"Inspector Dheeraj is very talented and honest.Trust me and his work.Allow us to perform our duty. We will get them back soon ".

In the Forest of Manali

Inspector Dheeraj spotted the bike which Chandra was driving . Dheeraj examines" It looks like they have abandoned the bike before losing the contact.

Shivkumar(BIL of Chandra)" Were they kidnapped?"

Dheeraj" That possibility cannot be ruled out." Dheeraj looks for other clues and instructs his team to search behind bushes . Then he gets a call from cyber department.

Inspector patiently listens and notes out the points in the small piece of paper.He says to Shukla "Their mobile location shows they were here yesterday morning by 10 a.m. Surprisingly,their mobile shows a remote village sangla ,which is 30 km far away from here today morning.I think they are either lost their way or kidnapped ."

Ashwath"But we did not receive any ransom call so far"

Inspector" lets us wait... "

Just then a person looking like an informer came before the inspector. His name was Daliya.Dheeraj showed the photographs of Chandra and Nandini before Daliya.

Daliya " Sir ji,yesterday I have seen them in the tribal village of Patali. Brihatsen ,the leader of the village made these two people to marry each other.

All were shocked but Dheeraj was very calm ."Are you sure Daliya?did you see them,look carefully".

Daliya "Pucca ,I am sure. sirji,but today morning when tribals went to wake them,they were vanished.Looks like they have escaped from there".

Dheeraj looks at others" Kidnapping probability is low now. We will monitor the cell phone tower. My instinct says that they will try to reach us soon. I will also take the help of border security forces to lead a search operation .

Shukla informs Vishnu regarding the marriage of Chandra and Nandini and their subsequent escape from the village.

IN resort

Morni and Akhila were crying .Radhika and her friends were consoling both Morni and Akhila. Saraswathi was equally tensed but did not speak as it will create further pressure in the minds of Akhila and others. Preethi was holding Bindu and her daughter Sanvi is playing in the reception.Shivkumar along with Ashwath were away in the forest and following investigation. Sridhar(Nandini's brother) was watching helplessly Morni and Akhila. Padmanaban was silently praying Lord.

Saraswathi"Nothing will happent to them .Please stop crying and be brave. I think they must have lost their way".

Akhila "Ninaichen ,nalu seri illa anniki.. adhan ipidi achu"(I thought,because the day was not auspicious .)

Morni " he was so happy that day when I said that I am going to Srirangam to fix the marriage.He said to fix the date as early as possible. It seems,he wanted to take her to Switzerland along with Bindu on a pleasure trip."

Sridhar "Aunty,Nandini will be fine don't worry.

At that juncture ,Vishnu entered the reception and informed that they were married by tribals .

Akhila started to cry "Morni ji will you accept Nandini now?"

Morni "Whatever certain done ,Nandini is my daughter in law. So what,she is married in tribal village,she is married only to Chandra right? Why should we not accept the marriage.

Vishnu was very happy on learning Morni supporting the marriage,he too started to support her views.Helen heard this . She went to her room silently and started to cry.She took a small sip of whiskey . But her pain seems to increase the moment she thinks Nandini and Chandra as couple. She threw the glass in anger.

Helen remembered a incident . The day when she tried to get intimate with him in a party.He jostled her and warned her to keep inside her limits.

Helen" I am I not beautiful,why you are not accepting my love?Lets have fun. Life is short and make it playful"

Chandra in a deep voice" No doubt about it.you are beautiful and can definitely be a good partner .But the question before me is will you be a good mother to my son? The answer is big No ,because your love is superficial . You love me for the wealth and position Helen. I want a person who will stand with me even if become a rag from riches.

Her mother Apama's voice echoed in her ears now." Leave it Helen. You cannot force a person to love you. You did not impress him at all.How many times I have told you to behave nicely with his son Dev. Did you hear my words? Now repent. "

Helen took her bag and injected a small dose of cocaine in her arm.She let out a beatific smile.She suddenly found Chandra standing before her.Helen was hallucinating .

Helen clapped her hands " Wow,Chandra . So you think she will be standing with you in all the circumstances.Lets us assume,if you loose this Matrix,will she be with you even in that scenario. From today,I am going to plot against you to snatch this Matrix from you.I promise Chandra.Let me see,if Nandini lives with you in that condition or not.I am damn sure that she will leave your side.That day you will come back to me as a boomerang".

She laughed like a hysterical person and slept in the bed murmuring how she hates love etc .

Meanwhile a pesky news reporter Savant was sipping a glass of tea in the same resort where Chandra and his team were staying. He was searching frantically for a sensational news and delighted to find one when Morni and Akhila were crying in the resort. Savant somehow extracted the information from them. He mingled with the rest of Matrix persons and collected the missing details shrewdly. Savant dialed his headquarters and gave the information.

In no time the news reporters flocked before the resort and demanded to speak with Vishnugupt.He was left with no choice and he gave a quick update to them.

Reporter 1" Does Chandrasekhar has any financial crisis MR Vishnugupt?

Vishnu"No ..you are mistaken.Nothing of that sort is troubling him. I think at this point we should pray the almighty that they are safe and return".

Reporter 1 intervened Vishnu " Chandrasekhar does not like your interference in his life. We have heard this from a reliable source that he hates to even speak with you?

Vishnu laughed away the question" I think your source is no more reliable. Please change the person.

Reporter2" It is rumored that Mr Chandrasekhar eloped with Nandini to marry her under the pretext that tribals made them to do so,since you did not approve their marriage"

Vishnu quickly denies this allegations " No ,it is baseless. Infact it was me who convinced him to marry Nandini for the sake of his son and aged mother.Nandini is good cultured girl from a very good family.Why wouldn't I approve her ?Infact both the sides approved their marriage "

Reporter 3 " Then why did your wife fight with Chandrasekhar last Sunday in his office?"

Vishnu brilliantly cut this question"you are mistaken ! it is nothing related to Nandini. Sujatha loves him as her own son. She never fights with him. It was a casual talks which was blown put of proportion by our enemies who are jealous of Matrix."Vishnu took a sip of water after answering this question.

Reporter 3 " Will you now accept their marriage ?

Vishnu " Well,they both are major and I cannot stand in between them.So the question of acceptance does not arise here.We abide by law of the country as law strongly support marriage between 2 major citizens.

Reporter 4" Mr Vishnu,do you believe that they could have kidnapped while escaping from Patali village?As they did not tried contacting any of you till now"

Vishnu"I cannot answer that now.Let it crystallize"

Rpeorter5 Will Helen be next CEO in case Mr Chandrasekhar does not return?"

Vishnu got irritated but he cleverly" I am confident that they are safe.Have a nice day.Please allow police department to function."

At Delhi Malay's residence

Malay was running in his treadmill in his mansion . His wife Geet was watching news channel. She spoke out loud on seeing the breaking news." Matrix CEO Chandrasekhar Gupta missing along with his finance Secretary Nandini since yesterday morning in Manali"

Malay stopped the threadmill and listened the news with patience. He exclaims "Oh my goodeness, Nandini".

Geet got irritated " Malay,you must be happy ,that your rival is missing.If he doesn't come back the Matrix will be burnt down to ashes by Sumeru"

Malay crisply replies" More than Sumeru,I want them to come back Geet. They cannot die like this , Nandini cannot die".

Geet"Yesterday Helen,today Nandini?" Geet asked him sarcastically.

Malay warns her " Geet,hold your tongue. Don't speak like this ! I will not tolerate".

Geet"Why,Did I speak anything wrong?"

Malay shouts" you will not understand.I accept that I am a play boy who likes to sleep with young girls.But I never thought like that with Nandini.Why,if I say the reason you will not believe me.For Godsake leave me alone Geet,."Malay took a cigar and began to smoke. Geet understands that he is tensed. He dials some number in his mobile and began to ask the update of Nandini missing case.The answer was not satisfactory.Malay cries out silently in pain " Oh no... Siya... I hope you are safe".

Meanwhile Chandra and Nandini found themselves in a isolated Leh -Manali highway. The villager did not understand his language and he went without answering. Chandra got frustrated and looked at Nandini.Nandini was looking very tired due to excessive walking.He went near her and asked "Are you alright Nandini".

Nandini" I don't know sir.I feel very uneasy . I cannot walk further,my legs are paining a lot."

Chandra understood her condition and looked around. There he saw a isolated building in far. He thought that they can rest there for some time.Nandini saw the building and mustered her left over energy and started to walk. After few steps,she began to shake due to weakness and thirst. Chandra held her by hands and supported her. She could not reply as she was dying out of thirst. Nandini sighed that she needs water to Chandra. He himself was thirsty and hungry. Chandra looked around and found the place had no traces of human in-habitation . It was a miracle to spot a human being in that god forbidden highway which will remain closed during most of the time due to extreme weather conditions.They both thought they are going to die soon due to tiredness and hunger.

Both understood God has other plans for them when they saw a Buddhist monk coming that way in a three wheeler .He was going to Keylong to buy provisions for his monastery .Chandra stopped him and explained their situation.The monk was kind and he soon took them to his monastery which was nearby.Soon,they reached the monastery.

Nandini and Chandra were received cordially by other monks .They gave them water and some rotis. Chandra seeing Nandini's condition took only 2 rotis,leaving 2 extra for her. Nandini on the other hand took only 1 roti and gave her rotis for chandra.After some arguments,they shared equally the rotis and dhal.

He borrowed the battery charger from the monk and charged the mobile. After 30 minutes,he called Shukla and conveyed he is safe in a village on the way towards Keylong. Morni and others were relieved to hear this. Looks like there was some landslide in the highway.So Chandra and Nandini cannot leave for Manali immediately.It may take another day for them to leave.Due to bad weather condition,helicopter cannot fly over the mountains.

Nandini and Chandra slept in the monastery for sometime .By late noon they made a quick walk around the village.They came across a meadow that looked as if it had stepped from the paradise. The grass was green and thigh-high to a thrush. The mountains in the distance had peaks that looked very majestic. It wasn't just the sights that pleased their senses. The sounds, smells and tastes were out of this world also. The sky above the place was a feast for the eyes. It stretched as far as the eye could see in a dome of cocktail-blue, punched with fluffy clouds. Squeaking swallows chased whirring dragonflies in a dance of life and death.

A neon-blue ribbon of Beas river ran through the centre of the village. The song of the river was very gentle as it went plinking and tinkling over the gravel bed.

Nandini"This is so good .What do you say Sir?"

Chandra smiled at her and " Still you call me Sir.. I think we are newly married and you should call me something other than sir"

Nandini" How can we say that we are married?None of our friends and kin saw us getting married!"

Chandra laughed " Nandini,have we taken 7 vows called saptapadi?"

Nandini recollected the wedding and she clearly remembers taking the 7 pheras."Yes"

Chandra"Bingo,we are married as per Hindu marriage act"

Nandini" But still,we never registered it ?"

Chandra " We will register the marriage in Manali itself. Shukla will make arrangements".

Nandini in playful anger "Is that a marriage?I will not accept!"

Chandra answered with a grimace "Is it? then,why are you roaming with this mangalsutra.Throw it in this river"

Nandini heart started to beat fast as he uttered this. She closes her ears " Don't say inauspicious words Chandra"

Chandra " so atlast you have started to call your husband by my first name?a good improvement."

Nandini was about to give reply, when she got slipped by a stone. Chandra held his hands to support her as a reflex action. Nandini looked into his chocolate brown eyes. It was assuring her that he will always remain faithful to her and protect her like his eyes. She was in 7^th heaven.

Chandra looks at the sky "Nandini it is better we leave now.Looks like it is going to rain"

Nandini did not agree " So what,let us play in rain"?

Chandra looks at her and asks"Nandini,do you have any spare clothes with you? Don't eat my mind. "

He takes her by her arms and Nandini pushes him" What are you doing?"

Chandra crisply"I am embracing my Wife."

Nandini questions " Who gave you rights to embrace me Chandra?"

Chandra points to the mangalsutra"It gives me all rights'. Do you want to know what all rights I am entitled to"

He stopped and again started to speak" Nandini,you are so childish.wont you catch cold and fever while getting drenched in rain?"

Nandini smiled and " Will that cold and flu inflict me more trouble than you?" She winked her eyes . Chandra catches her hand and brings her close to him" You have not seen yet ,how much trouble I am capable of giving Nandini".

Nandini did not answer that question . He did not neither touch her inappropriately nor kissed her passionately. All these time he hardly did anything romantic at all. Even then he had kindled the love in her heart for him which makes her sublime. Nandini relieves her from his clutches.Chandra looks at her and smiles as Nandini started walking away from him. After few steps,she stopped and turned around looked at him. His eyes pines for Nandini,she could feel that !She came near him and took his hands,both walked with hand on hand together.

In night they slept in the premises of Buddhist monastery. Chandra was not used to sleep in floor so he was very uncomfortable. To cap it,it was infested with colonies of mosquitoes.Chandra speaks to himself"Oh my god how much mosquitoes are there in this room.Looks like I cannot even sit peacefully." He looks at Nandini as she was sleeping very peacefully.Her face resemble a newborn baby while sleeping. It was full of innocence and it was looking more beautiful as she slightly opens her mouth while sleeping. Chandra lovingly closes her lips and she smiles in the sleep!

Next day by late noon ,Chandra and Nandini came to Manali along with inspector Dheeraj and his team. Morni and others were relived to see them back safe. She accepted Nandini as her daughter in law in front of all .

Morni " It was the wish of God to get you two married by tribals. I gladly accept that decision. From now you are my daughter in law Nandini" She places kiss in her forehead. Nandini's parents and Grandmother were relieved after seeing Nandini being accepted into his family.

In a couple of days Nandini was taken into Chandra's house after completing some rituals. Nandini gets a new home . She was happy to be Bindu's mother more than his wife. The day she stepped inside the household,Bindu became her responsibility. Nandini bathes ,feeds,plays with him. She makes him sleep and also changes his diapers without any hesitation. Nandini did all what a mother would do for her baby. She did it out of affection and love she felt for the boy. It was clearly visible when the baby clings to her 24*7.

A week later in Chandrasekhar's residence.

Chandrasekhar was getting ready for the party which his friend Arjun is giving for his marriage with Nandini.He looked for Nandini,but she is no where to be seen. Without any second thought he goes to his son's room and he found her in there. She was getting him ready for the party. He was relieved to see Nandini and Bindu's growing affection.

Nandini reprimanded Bindu " Beta , you should get ready ... See we will go to a party... Be a good boy..."But the baby is not listening .

Chandra" I think in this vast world,it is only us who tried to celebrate Suhag rat with a kid"

Nandini " Bingo,we have created a record after all. "

This thought brings him smile . Chandra felt he has gained everything which he had lost.Seeing Nandini and Bindu he felt his family is now complete.

Chandrasekhar came back to present time. He looks at her and teases her" Nandini,looks like more than me Bindu loves to be with you".

Nandini looks at Chandra and in a teasing tone "I think that real culprit is his DNA.Morning to night he troubles me and night to morning his father" Chandra pulls her ear playfully and " Repeat,what you have said now?"

Nandini cries in pain"I will call Ma "Chandra releases her .She takes Bindu in her waist and starts checking the bag.

"Diapers is there,sipper is there,wipes is there and towel is there..wait where is feeding bottle... ok it is here,next wash cloth is there... last yes..spare cloths is there.."She closes the zip and makes a sigh.
Chandra looks at Nandini "Shall we start now..."

Nandini nods her head .

Very nice Avantika. Chandra, Nandini and Bindu make such a happy family. Just pack that Helen to Greece. She and her psychotic behavior just irritates me.
