Vasundhara’s Hypocrisy and the Mahi–Gautam Disaster

Frustrations

The writers of Anupama have completely lost the plot. Mahi — Aryan’s widow — proposing to Gautam, the same man who abused Prarthna, is already outrageous. But Vasundhara seconding the proposal is the final nail in the coffin.

This is the same Vasundhara who let Prarthna suffer, ignored her pain, and never valued her emotions when Gautam tormented her. Now she’s standing by and encouraging another woman — Mahi — to walk into the same fire. What kind of hypocrisy is this?

To make it worse, Gautam himself has vowed to drag every Kothari to the streets and destroy the Shahs. The man’s intentions are openly vindictive, yet somehow the show expects us to root for his “redemption arc”? Pathetic writing.

And then we have Anupama, who has abandoned the chawl women of Mumbai — women she once claimed to uplift — only to make them serve her Shameless Shah masters. The same family that ruined her life is now being glorified again. So much for empowerment!

This track is an insult to logic, emotion, and the very idea of women’s strength the show was built on. Enough of glorifying abuse and hypocrisy.

Please feel free to add points that I have missed.

I cannot comment on hypocrisy and bad writing which has now come to become the hallmark of the show, but there are loopholes in the theory.

Jo bhi ho, Onupama ki hypocrisy ke aage sab fail hain.

The comparison of the couples is not valid.

About supporting Prarthana, she herself did not seek any help or intervention from Kotharis, instead relied on Shahs, particularly Onupama alone amd herself deserted Kotharis for Shahs.

What stopped her from sharing her predicament from her brothers and parents if not Vasundhara? What stopped her from sharing the proofs that she had?

Ofcourse, that is not an excuse to not stand by their daughter, but it was the daughter who never shared her misery.

Now coming to Maahi, Pari, Shahs.

Sau baat ki ek baat. Kotharis are who they are because of their Business. Shahs are interested in Kotharis only because of the Kothari Empire. Nahin toh koi bhaav nahin deta.

Gautam's family was a major stakeholder in their business. Now when each family member is chasing their dreams with no proper preparation, what happens to the business? Anss isnt showing any promise. Even now, it is Gautam's contacts which is keeping them afloat.

Aise toh sab doob jayega na?

Aur waise bhi Vasundhara mana kar bhi deti toh kya hi ho jata?

She had not agreed for Aryan-Maahi's marriage either, even Anupama had promised that she would keep them away. What happened? They went to a temple and got married.

What if they disagreed and Maahi-Gautam stake claim on the Business because jointly, they have a sizeable stake in the business? If anything, Vasundhara has bought them some time to think otherwise and first regain control of business so that they can limit Gautam's operations in the company. If Parag has any brain cells left after Anupama bhakti, that is.
