Let us forget this little contretemps, my dear Avantika, and move on, shall we? I am glad you liked my comments on Pratiksha's post. Let us see what really happens. One more point that I had wanted to add in my post above (which I have edited somewhat), but which got left out. As for Mudrarakshasa, I am afraid there is no point expecting anything like that in a TV serial, especially one of Ekta's , though most of the rest are just as bad.I am told that the 2012 Chandragupta Maurya was very good, but then that was cashiered after little more than a 100 episodes when the channel suddenly folded up. The 1990 Chanakya was superb, but it was very dry and demanding, and it would not have lasted 2 months today. See the very good Peshwa Bajirao - TRPs are below 1!It is interesting to know that you are a student of Sanskrit. I did study it to some extent with my mother, and mastered it sufficiently to be able to read the Panchatantra, but I am afraid I did not keep it up. I regret that a lot, for it is perhaps the most elegant language there is, with almost infinite flexibility in expressing nuances of meaning.Shyamala Aunty
I took sanskrit as my 2nd language till my college.afterwards I took science stream. It is one of the richest language . But today its perceived as language of mantras . SaDly the language is extinct since nobody uses it for communication. I have read Swapana vasavadatta of Bhasa, Nalophakyanam Mudrarakshas I am reading these days to understand Chankya better.may be my mother named me Avantika after female protagonist of Swapana Vasavadatta Avantika.RegardsAvantika
