After reading your wonderful post i went to sleep for almost four hours as i wasn't sleeping well lately had the worst kind of flu and still recovering and yesterday s episode was one wish I didn't watch it
Whatever but it looks like ms roopa is here to stay and i like Bhojpuri dialogue is just that shweta was inspired by shotgun sinha and amir khan made it epic in his PK

Aunty, yesterdays episode was ok for me except that precap (Thanks to Sri, I was prepared for the worst 😆)

Your Post 'Tangled Skeins' convinced me to watch todays episode😃

You know what, I loved todays episode including the same precap😳😆

Ranjana my sweet,

These days, I wonder what I did in the B.R. era, ie Before Ranjana, without your zany, inimitably comic comments to pep me up. Awww thank you my dearest aunty for this affection 🤗 It is returned in full along with the sort of interest that cruel, potbellied moneylenders levied on villagers in old Hindi movies <3 The B.R. era 😲😆 Many other people who know me, especially my family members, also think often of the B.R. era, but not in the way you do. They remember their pre-Ranjana days with great wistfulness and longing 😒😆😆

Who but you could bring in flying unicorns and leprechauns in a single sentence. Whenever I see the word leprechaun, I am reminded of Fred Astaire in Finian's Rainbow. I must tell you that Fred Astaire is one of my all time favourites in the movies. hehe thank you, thank you 😉😆 I haven't seen the movie, but I'll keep an eye out for it :)

Thanks a million, kid, for being there - though I shall always hold it against you that you did not turn up a whole lot earlier! - and for loving my writing, which I am ever aware is not for everyone, but most of all, for being a fellow Plum addict. Arre I should be thanking you for writing these amazing posts for our delectation and delight 😳⭐️ And believe me, I sincerely regret not having come across your posts earlier :( but as Yeats said - "There are no strangers here; only an adorable and amazing Shyamala aunty who hasn't met all her fans yet."😳 Well, he might not have said precisely that 🤔 😆😆 And Plum ke baare mein kya kahoon...I've been crazy about his stories for so long, and have unfortunately come across few people who shared my love for his tales😔. So, yes...thank you for that too, aunty 🤗

I am looking out for the detailed take that you have promised me. Post kar diya :)) I read your mini take too, and enjoyed reading it :D You've deftly untangled the skeins for the readers! It's wonderful how you offer a fresh and hatke take on the scenes! And about the Peshwa Bajirao serial, I watched the first epi and loved it. The overall quality was superlative. I hope to follow it for some weeks at least. Uske baad I usually lose interest in a serial :/

My dear Joyee,

You flatter me, but I am delighted that you enjoy my posts so much. Thanks ever so much. See, I know that they are an acquired taste, and are not for everyone, so every addition to the tribe of my regular, discerning readers is something I prize.

As for Shweta, till recently, I did not like her pita maharaj ki pyaari beti avatar at all. It was monotonous, monochrome and often irritating, as was her unbecoming trick of opening her eyes so wide that the white showed all around the iris. As my initial expectations of her , as a National Award winner , were very high, my disappointment was that much greater.

But of late, she has improved beyond recognition, and I have reflected that in my posts. She is in the Meena Kumari mould, of silent, dignified suffering, and these scenes she has handled so impeccably in the recent episodes suit her to a T. She also projects a kind of helpless lovelorn state very well. It is all a question of the scr ipt using her strong points.

Still, Rajat is way ahead of her, and anyone else I have watched on Indian TV, because of his incomparable mastery of nuance when he is at his best. Not that he does not slip at times, but he is almost always very good, and at times he is superb. If I wanted to put it in one line, Shweta is very competent, and that is saying a lot, but Rajat can be inspired.

As for the much anticipated meeting of hearts, I would target episode 100 or so, depending on how long this Roopa track extends. Till then, we have to look around for something else in the show to amuse ourselves, that is all!

@Blue: I meant every word, love the way you write 😳 I have been digging up your JA posts as well by the way!

And yes, those "pita maharaj" days were pretty grating to say the least! So was all her doltish aggression against Chandra, and even Moora at times. Remember that part where she challenges him post sundown in the yuddha kshetra, and calls him a naamard in consequence? What was she smoking? I feel she sort of began to teethe in post the gurukul track. But I really like her now. However, I like Rajat way more, anyday ❤️
Completely agree with the red highlight.

But 100 episodes more before ChanDini happens...😲 *faints*

Please defrost them somebody...pretty please 😭

Delightful collage, my pet, and the captions are just as good.

I too loved tonight's episode. Our Odd Couple now have their first insider joke, about the vaanar!

But I would never have imagined them being so easy and pally with each other after the Fr iday night blow up. I think it is neither Chandra nor Nandini but the CVs who are high on madira ya bhaang!

No, no, kid, chill! Not hundred episodes MORE, only episode No.100, ie another 23 episodes, by which time the Roopa track should be over. Not even the Benazir track took more than that, and not the Atifa track either.

So relax ! And today was great fun, with our Odd Couple getting their first insider joke about the vaanar.

I want the TRPs to shoot up, for Rajat's sake above all.

So do I
I didn't know the TRP situation till just now, but oh no...why isn't it taking off? Rajat is twice as fantastic as Chandra. And I feel this time he has a comparatively better co-star. But then again, the tracks...🥱
