Hi Shyamala, I am a silent reader of all your posts and their very interesting comments from other readers.
I am glad you have moved from the silent mode to the talkies, or rather the writies (sic). The other point is whether you liked my posts or not , for your silence might well have been due to the latter reaction!😉 No, you do not have to respond to this one; I am not given to going on fishing expeditions!😉
My frustration on the Jealousy track has gone beyond my patience limit, so i also decided to vent it out :)
Apparently, the letter that Helena wrote with Nandini's signature is still lying with the Handwriting Specialist for further analysis. Chandra never spoke about it to Nandini nor was any scene shown about the letter later. Immediately after Durdhara's abortion scene, he took letters from each person in the palace about their ornaments list. He could have cross verified the handwriting with those letters. I had little hope that Avantika would storm into Chandra's room showing the letter that Nandini left for her while leaving the palace - and then it would dawn on Chandra that Nandini did not write the letter to Malay. Nay, the letter also died with the episode.
Your objections are very well taken, but I am afraid you a are asking for way too much from what passes for a script here.
But one thing: it is not necessary that the lists of ornaments would have been written out in their own hand by the royal ladies. Most likely their chief daasis would have sat down with a munshi and listed the items out. So that objection will not hold.
Avantika would have had no idea about the fake letter, and as Nandini's letter to her says that she is leaving because she has developed feelings for Chandra that she feels are wrong, she would not have shared it with Chandra in any case. She thinks Nandini left of her own volition, so she would not have any reproaches to address to Chandra.
Aparna keeps visiting Helena - like Macedonia is an hour's journey from Pataliputra. Favourite queeen of Seluecus leaves her King, her queen post, and risks her favourite queen position to the the other queens of Seleucus to play with Helena's sauten ???? She participates in scheming against Nandini - for the benefit of her daughter - but refuses to share the secrets of her campaign with Helena. And our dear vamp Helena acts so innocent in front of Aparna when the mother knows her in and out. Aparna literally tells Helena in our comedian Vadivelu style - DO WHAT I SAY...
Oh, all the characters here apparate in and out of Pataliputra a la Harry Potter. That is standard operating procedure. See the way Chandra and Jayant/Nandini ride to Takshashila and back in what looks like 2 days each way! In reality it would have taken 4 weeks.
As for Aapama's reticence vis a vis her daughter dearest, if Helen were my daughter, I would do exactly the same. Especially not about the Roopa brahmastra.😉
Chandra keeps saying that he cant tolerate to see tears in Nandini's eyes. SO DO WE viewers. Its too much these days that the TV has to be wiped right after the serial ends.
Marvellous!😆😆😆
Thankfully, the camaraderie between the lead players shows the comfort in which they are handling the scenes together. If you see Paridhi's Jodha and Shweta's Nandini, you would notice the difference in Aishwarya's plastic smile and Kajol's natural smile.
Chandra's eyes are so sharp that even in moonlight he is able to spot that Nandini has cut her nails to tend to Malay's wounds. But he doesnt notice that Malay's fingers playing with Nandini's hands ??
After watching promo where Nandini meets Roopa - I feel Nandini, in her own usual style, would run to Chandra and tell him the truth - just the way she did about Malay - and Chandra would not believe her once again. And then, he delivers dialogue like - if the king repeats his mistake, it becomes a habit (just before "agar main chandra nahin hota" dialogue delivery).
Ultimately, Nandini would come as Pandit Jayant Singh (albeit with the help of Chanakya who might help her in the interest of Magadh) and do the Divorce (Vivah Vichched) vithi for Chandra and Nandini.
Oh no! Not that bizarre get up again!
One might see Jayant Singh asking the most hilarious question of 4th Century BC - "Maharaj, WHICH ONE of the marriages that you had with Nandini that you would like to cancel ?"
After all, our dear chandra had married Nandini 5 times - Gandharva Vivaha (first time they meet), Swayamvar (girl choosing her husband), Rakshasa Vivaha (eloping with bride in front of parents), Daiva Vivaha (chandra as Brahman priest completing marital puja vidhi with Nandini, and finally the Kanyadaan done by her brother.
