I knowww right! Even I was expecting Chandra to begin his investigation over this, but then again, our dear emperor here chooses to play daft once again. Kya yaar

I missed seeing this reply somehow. Thank you for reminding me. I too miss you a lot Aunty. Our next vacation cannot be before Spring Break. I hope that one goes as we had planned and is not aborted midway. I feel the same kind of apprehension before every chapter of my FF that I post. My son was crying for two days over the broken iPad more than I ever did and blaming PJ Masks Gekko for this evil deed. He is a real menace but such a darling sweetheart. I just never have the heart to even mildly chide him for anything. He has so much energy and doesn't know where to use all that. But he seems to have learnt his lesson.

Thank you to for being there for me, my dear Shailaja. I have got so used to you by now that if you are not around for a day or two I miss you.

I am glad you liked this one and that it lived up to your expectations. This last always makes me apprehensive, even after doing so many posts. It is like an actor as he or she steps on to the stage; it is always like the first time.

Don't fret too much about the current track and try to enjoy it. I agree with you about Malayketu. The actor makes it even worse, with his eternal hamming.

What does your little one say now about the i-phone he demolished? He must be a regular Dennis the Menace!😆

Of course he remarks on it when he meets Roopa in the garden, my dear.

He thinks the nails are artificial and stuck on, but then he cannot understand how they could be so strong as to cut his skin. I do not blame him for not cottoning on to the double angle; it is, as you say, not something anyone would think of straightaway.

I too, as I have noted above, loved tonight's very pleasant episode, especially the part about the gift.

It's very understandable that Chandra will be very confused by Nandini's weird behavior and will end up thinking Nandini has split personality as the lookalike thing cannot strike someone very first; but what about the nails? They cannot grow in one single night... I expected Chandra to ponder over this fact more when he found her nails are long again, but he didn't pay heed. I had thought this thing is going to be the turning point of revealing Roopa but Chandra to tubelight nikla.🤪

But I enjoyed today's episode very much. Cannot the cvs show this type of episodes more without showing a cheap Chandra and crying Nandini with full of other nasty things?🤢 It will be fun to watch this Roopa track, but they have to provide us a little intelligent Chandra now. 😡😆😃

He does comment about it to Roopa, and then concludes that they were artificial ones stuck on.
Now what more can he do? He has enough weird things concerning Nandini to worry about, over and above the nails, and he probably thinks it is some kind of elaborate joke Nandini is now playing on him.

I loved the fact that our Odd Couple now have their first insider joke about the vaanar.

Aunty you're delightful! From now on add on to the list of ardent fans.

My name is Ray.

No I haven't read Towards Zero yet. if I get hold of the book somehow I'll surely read it!

Regards,

Ray.

P.S - I read a reply of yours on some page where you noted today's episode. Glad to hear that one more round of 5 will be in store for us in the next weekend!😛

The episode truly was quite delightful. Rajat is undoubtedly good but Shweta is also getting my attention. She indeed portrays her emotions and subtleties very aptly. Rajat got a good match as an actor.

My dear ( I need to know your name, for your id, after my dear, would simply not jell!😉)

I am very pleased to know that you have joined the tribe of my regular readers. That, and your liking this post so much, says more about you than about me, for I know that my posts are an acquired taste, and clearly not for everyone. That is why it delights and reassures me in equal measure that I have so many readers now who do not belong to my old Jodha Akbar group, but are entirely new additions to the list, like you.

You are very kind in your comments about this post, my dear, but what made my day was the closing para bout the melted chocolate burst in the middle of a choco lava cake! I am a positive chocolate addict too, but my favourites are Lindt's chocoballs, the sea salt variety!

By the way, have you read Towards Zero? If not, do give it a try. You will surely enjoy it, and then again, you can see how the syndrome is exactly the same in the two cases.

My dear,

I was going to call you Shweta when I realised that the latter part of the id was not your name! If you would tell me what it is, we will be well set.

Anyhow, this is one of the most refreshing comments I have seen in a while. The last para about the pancha vivaah between our lead pair is priceless!😆 Absolutely accurate too, only it did not occur to anyone else, myself included.

My comments are in blue.

Hi Shyamala, I am a silent reader of all your posts and their very interesting comments from other readers.

I am glad you have moved from the silent mode to the talkies, or rather the writies (sic). The other point is whether you liked my posts or not , for your silence might well have been due to the latter reaction!😉 No, you do not have to respond to this one; I am not given to going on fishing expeditions!😉

My frustration on the Jealousy track has gone beyond my patience limit, so i also decided to vent it out :)

Apparently, the letter that Helena wrote with Nandini's signature is still lying with the Handwriting Specialist for further analysis. Chandra never spoke about it to Nandini nor was any scene shown about the letter later. Immediately after Durdhara's abortion scene, he took letters from each person in the palace about their ornaments list. He could have cross verified the handwriting with those letters. I had little hope that Avantika would storm into Chandra's room showing the letter that Nandini left for her while leaving the palace - and then it would dawn on Chandra that Nandini did not write the letter to Malay. Nay, the letter also died with the episode.

Your objections are very well taken, but I am afraid you a are asking for way too much from what passes for a script here.

But one thing: it is not necessary that the lists of ornaments would have been written out in their own hand by the royal ladies. Most likely their chief daasis would have sat down with a munshi and listed the items out. So that objection will not hold.

Avantika would have had no idea about the fake letter, and as Nandini's letter to her says that she is leaving because she has developed feelings for Chandra that she feels are wrong, she would not have shared it with Chandra in any case. She thinks Nandini left of her own volition, so she would not have any reproaches to address to Chandra.

Aparna keeps visiting Helena - like Macedonia is an hour's journey from Pataliputra. Favourite queeen of Seluecus leaves her King, her queen post, and risks her favourite queen position to the the other queens of Seleucus to play with Helena's sauten ???? She participates in scheming against Nandini - for the benefit of her daughter - but refuses to share the secrets of her campaign with Helena. And our dear vamp Helena acts so innocent in front of Aparna when the mother knows her in and out. Aparna literally tells Helena in our comedian Vadivelu style - DO WHAT I SAY...

Oh, all the characters here apparate in and out of Pataliputra a la Harry Potter. That is standard operating procedure. See the way Chandra and Jayant/Nandini ride to Takshashila and back in what looks like 2 days each way! In reality it would have taken 4 weeks.

As for Aapama's reticence vis a vis her daughter dearest, if Helen were my daughter, I would do exactly the same. Especially not about the Roopa brahmastra.😉

Chandra keeps saying that he cant tolerate to see tears in Nandini's eyes. SO DO WE viewers. Its too much these days that the TV has to be wiped right after the serial ends.

Marvellous!😆😆😆

Thankfully, the camaraderie between the lead players shows the comfort in which they are handling the scenes together. If you see Paridhi's Jodha and Shweta's Nandini, you would notice the difference in Aishwarya's plastic smile and Kajol's natural smile.

Chandra's eyes are so sharp that even in moonlight he is able to spot that Nandini has cut her nails to tend to Malay's wounds. But he doesnt notice that Malay's fingers playing with Nandini's hands ??

After watching promo where Nandini meets Roopa - I feel Nandini, in her own usual style, would run to Chandra and tell him the truth - just the way she did about Malay - and Chandra would not believe her once again. And then, he delivers dialogue like - if the king repeats his mistake, it becomes a habit (just before "agar main chandra nahin hota" dialogue delivery).

Ultimately, Nandini would come as Pandit Jayant Singh (albeit with the help of Chanakya who might help her in the interest of Magadh) and do the Divorce (Vivah Vichched) vithi for Chandra and Nandini.

Oh no! Not that bizarre get up again!

One might see Jayant Singh asking the most hilarious question of 4th Century BC - "Maharaj, WHICH ONE of the marriages that you had with Nandini that you would like to cancel ?"
After all, our dear chandra had married Nandini 5 times - Gandharva Vivaha (first time they meet), Swayamvar (girl choosing her husband), Rakshasa Vivaha (eloping with bride in front of parents), Daiva Vivaha (chandra as Brahman priest completing marital puja vidhi with Nandini, and finally the Kanyadaan done by her brother.

My dear Ray,

I agree with you completely on this pairing. Shweta is improving all the time, and in sharp contrast to Jodha Akbar, here Rajat has a compatible and supportive leading lady.

Now this is a medical phenomenon, that you are able to read my comments even when you are unconscious!😆

Roopa as the vishkanya is a very bright idea, but no dice, I am afraid.Chetan would have insisted on a longish contract with Ekta, and the Roopa track will be over in one month max.

Aunty, what are the odds of Roopa turning out to be the vishkanya who kills Malayketu? Some people were predicting something to this effect in the forum.

Hey I am so glad you feel the same way aunty! Also I think in JA, Jodha Begum got way more leverage in comparison, as far as the script went. Like somehow unfailingly, she was always on the right...or at least believed so, rather vehemently at that. Poor Jalal, his emotional gravity and passions were never quite reciprocated the same way. Paridhi's Jodha was almost consistently the idealistic, proper and cutesy one, never quite intense...except when she was punishing him. God knows what attributed to it though. I mean, there had been some conjecture about mutual cold vibes...but one cannot completely trust rumors alone. Anyhow, in Chandra Nandini things look a lot more coequal, onscreen and off. But that's just my opinion 😳

Gosh, please explain this somebody 😵

"Helena (Tanu Khan) and Nandni (Shweta Basu Prasad) fight becoming queen of Maghadh in ChandraNandni.Start Plus historical love saga ChandraNandni is going to bring interesting competition between Chandra's wives Helena and Nandni.Dadi keeps a competition between Helena and Nandni for becoming queen of Magadh in which she makes three rounds for Helena and Nandni. First round belongs to sword fight, second round is related to knowledge and third one is sastra fights. Both Helena and Nandni is expert in fight so they clear it but Chhaya helps Helena is second round of knowledge which makes the tie situation between Helena and Nandni. Dadi makes a solution in which she asks members to vote for Helena and Nandni which will decide as who will become queen of Maghad. Chandra (Rajat Tokas) supports Helena against Nandni in queen competition Chandra votes for Helena as he has developed hate corner for Nandni post her dance with Malayketu. Who will become queen of Magadh between Helena and Nandni?"

Now really! Dadi and her silly ideas
