5 Reasons To Love Rajat Tokas In Chandra Nandni

Rajat Tokas is ruling the audience's hearts with his stellar performance since a long time now.

Rajat Tokas is ruling the audience's hearts with his stellar performance since a long time now. He is been in the child artist and has grown to a wonderful actor.

His most famous show is Zee TV's Jodha Akbar alongside Paridhi Sharma. He is currently seen in Star Plus show Chandra Nandini as Chandragupta Maurya with Shweta Basu Prasad as Nandni.

Let us look at some of the reasons to love him in his current show-

1. Strong Demeanor- He is currently playing a tough ruler who is married to his enemy's daughter Nandni. He has to do justice to his kingdom.

But he is slowly falling in love with her and can't confide his feelings to anyone, not even her. It is intriguing to watch how most of the time, Chandra fights with his inner self from preventing himself to fall for Nandni.

His anger, illogical outburst are the symptoms of his resistance against the attraction he feels towards Nandni

2.Warrior Physique-

He has killer looks and physique!

Since the days of Jodha Akbar till now in Chandra Nandni, he is working hard on his physique to give it a warrior look which is visible evidently.

He is maintaining his luscious long hair look for a very long time now. And the look somehow fits Rajat Tokas perfectly.

Certainly, he looks apt to play these historical characters to the point of perfection on screen

3. Charming King-

He is wooing the audience with his performances in the historical dramas, be it Akbar or Chandra.

He has a magnificient charming personality of a King who rules the screen.

His style, walk, talk, gestures & expressions simply scream 'Royal' with the way he carries himself

4. Spectacular Performance-

The only strong character in the show is Rajat Tokas as Chandra.

The moment he appears on the show, he keeps viewers glued to the screen with his strong aura.

He truly digs deep into the character to make it as believable as possible

Be it chandra's warrior nature or his just attitude or even his confused state, Rajat Tokas grants the required trait to Chandra & his expressions would make any one fall for him without much ado

5. Romance King-

He is excellent in portraying royal romance. He has evidently proved this in Jodha Akbar

His magnificent aura can't even keep Nandni not to fall in love with him.
No matter how much she tries to hate him but she can't hold back her true feelings of love, care and affection for him hidden in her eyes.

In fact, some of the best scenes of Rajat Tokas as Chandra would be one in which his eyes are silently following Nandni or in which he tries to understand her better.

Chandra's childish looks towards Nandni while being at awe of her are his strongest scenes in the show

Devour has a more intense sound to it like feasting one's eyes on something/someone...

Nihaarna is subtler. Like when an artist would observe, admire and thus cherish a beautiful sculpture or a painting... something with a bit more regard in it...

The closest I am still able to come up with is 'behold'

But I could be wrong about all of it.. *sheepish smile*

There is no need for any sheepish smile, Lashy my pet, for you are quite right.

Akka, vizhungi vidivathu is more aggressive. Nihaarna, like most romantic words in Urdu, is very delicate. The beholding of the object of your attention is here gentle, almost an act of homage. It almost always has a romantic connotation, though this need not necessarily be the case.

An excellent article, my dear Anjali, and it is no more than he deserves.

Now if only the TRPs were to match this glowing write up! But the show is stuck at the bottom of the urban list, having fallen from No.15 a little while ago to No.20 now. It has not managed to take off like Jodha Akbar did after the Shaahi Shaadi, around episode 35.

I want the TRPs to shoot up, for Rajat's sake above all.

WHAT AN AMAZING POST!!!!

AND TURBULENT TIDES IS SUCH A LOVELY TITLE. IT MORE OR LESS SUMS UP WHAT WE ARE FEELING AS VIEWERS TOO

I TOO FELT REALLY BAD FOR NANDINI WHEN CHANDRA' JUST LIKE THAT, BANISHED HIS WIFE FROM THE PALACE, IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT. IT WAS QUITE FUNNY TO SEENANDINI WALKING OUT OF THE PAKACE ALL ALONE, SOBBING, AND NOBODY HAVING A CLUE. EVEN THE GUARDS DID NOT FLINCH WHEN SHE DID SO.

AND THAT DREAM SCENE WHILE NANDINI WAS RIDING THE BULLOCK CART, WAS SO BEAUTIFULLY PICTURISED. HAAYE 😳 I TOO LOVED IT. OF COURSE IT WAS CURIOUS TO SEE MALAY SAUNTERING THERE, ALMOST LIKE, HE HAD BEEN FOLLOWING HER, AND THEN, LATER, CHANDRA THERE 😆 LIKE EVERYONE KNEW WHERE SHE HAD GONE

I FEEL NANDINI SHOULD HAVE TOLD CHANDRA ABOUT THE STONE IN HER HAND AND MALAY'S ACTIONS. I KNOW HE WOULD NOT HAVE BELIEVED IT, BUT SOME PART OF THE CONFUSION COULD HAVE BEEN CLARIFIED.

AND THE SCENE WHERE SHE FALLS SUE TO PAIN AND EXHAUSTION WAS QUITE FUNNY. WHEN NANDINI CLEARLY KNOWS THAT CHANDRA IS HERE ONLY COZ DAADI HAD ASKED FOR HER, THEN WHY DOES SHE EXPECT THAT HE WILL GIVE HER INSIGHTS INTO HIS THOUGHTS ABOUT HER 😆

I REALLY ENJOYED THE VRAT EPISODE, RIGHT FROM THE PRE TEDDY BEAR SCENE 😆 TILL THE POST SHIVLING POOJA SCENE. THE BHAJAN WAS LOVELY AND BOTH CHANDRA AND NANDINI WERE SUPERB IN THEIR EXPRESSIONS AND ACTIONS. AND, LIKE YOU SAY, CHANDRA'S CONTROVERSIAL NON EXISTENT HRIDAY WAS THERE FOR EVERYONE TO SEE 😆

OF COURSE, RAJAT'S SUPERLATIVE PERFORMANCE AT THE END OF LAST WEEK WAS MIND BLOWING

ROOPS IS JUST PLAIN LUCKY THAT NOBODY ON THE PALACE HAS SPOTTED HER AND NANDINI TOGETHER 😆

YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT WHEN YOU SAY THAT AS REGARDS CHANDRA, NANDINI IS IN LOVE, AND HENCE, HAS NO EGO. AND HE SEEMS TO BE TAKING A HUGE ADVANTAGE OF THIS. HE SPEWS WHATEVER COMES TO HIS MIND. RIGHT THAT WITH THE ROOPA MESS NOTHING IS CHANDRA'S FAULT, BUT POOR NANDINI GETS THE FLAK FOR NO FAULT OF HERS. IT IS QUITE EXHAUSTING FOR US VIEWERS, SPECIALLY COZ WE KNOW ABOUT ROOPA

OVERALL I THINK SHWETA HAS IMPROVED HER PERFORMANCE MANIFOLD. SPECIALLY IN SCENES WITH FEWER DIALOGUES AND MORE EXPRESSIONS, SHE REALLY SHINES, AND OTHERWISE, TOO, I FEEL HER PERFORMANCE IS SUBTLE, SOBER AND GOOD

RAJAT, OF COURSE, IS GREAT IN AMOST ALL HIS SCENES
