Shyamala,
Nandini is having a black mole below her nose and just above the lips. Let us see how they are going to show Roopa without the birthmark.

Akka dear, You have caught the general mood here perfectly with that last line! They are all lattoo over our boy.😆

But I must say he looked extra handsome, especially in the close ups, and I felt like putting a drishti pottu (kaala teekha) on him to ward off the evil eyes, and there are so many of them around him!

But when did I not praise Rajat's Chandra, and his looks? He looks like a piece of classic Greek statuary for most of this show - much more handsome than as Jalal- and it was I who pointed that out. You kids are all so busy drooling over him that the pure beauty of the facial structure just passes you by!😉

As for the drishti pottu, it is applied by older well wishers to youngsters they are fond of, and I think Rajat really needs that, and Chandra too. From whom he needs to be protected is of course an open question, but don't go around thinking that my comments are some sort of blank cheque for you all to run wild, for they most emphatically are NOT!😉

Now this is a very interesting point, Akka. If Sunanda is sharp enough, they can duplicate the til too.

Black ink? 😲 Sarika, he is not going out to vote in a municipal election!

One puts a kaala teekha with proper kaajal. At least that is what the older ladies in our family used to do.The kaajal was made by gathering the soot of a castor oil flame on a silver plate, and the accumulated soot was then dissolved in castor oil and stored in a small silver dibbi. My mother used to apply the kaajal to my eyes every morning as I set out for school, ending with a small dot behind one ear as a drishti pottu.

I still have a dibbi of that kind at home, though these days I simply use an eye-liner. But the traditionally made kaajal was said to be good for the eyes, and also harmless even for small children.

Oh yes, Ria, that was delightful, especially the questioning nod from Nandini after he has finished his cleaning operations, and the reassuring nod from Chandra!

The Stockholm Syndrome - that is it in a nutshell. Like Patty Hearst. That woman sets my teeth on edge every time I see her, which is happily only rarely these days, thanks to Ekta's sense of economy.

But what I loved in that scene was the last shot of Chandra's face when the segment ends. He smiles on the surface, but the inner turmoil - and he is clearly appalled at how transparent he has become in this respect - shows thru that smile. It was very well done.

She has Stockholm Syndrome, plain and simple.

In fact this lady seems to always claim knowledge of stuff which i cannot understand how its possible for her

First, she is like the babaji of love for Chandra with her mystical style prem lessons
Then she goes on to say " I am your mom, i konw things which you your self dont know/cannot recognise". On normal terms i would understand a mom having that kind of connection with her kids. But in her case, She allowed Chandra to be 'sold off' to Chanakya at such young age, when all he knew was love being your curse. Now he is fully grown and she had no part in it. So to boldly claim the mom-son connect which allows her to see things through him ... I feel like that is pushing it too much.
