Thank you so much, my dear Amina!

Try not to catch a cold from your kids. They are great carriers of such infections!

Sandhya dear,

Yes, I was more shocked than pleased at having actually got a plot prediction right for once!😉

I cannot answer a single one of your very valid questions, except to repeat what I had noted above, that if the heroine of Aditya Chopra's Rab ne bana di jodi could not recognise SRK 1, her husband, in the only slightly jazzed up version, SRK 2, then here at least Chandra has a moustache and a beard!😉

Nandini to Nandini, even Malayaketu, who had been with Chandra for years, does not recognise him at a distance of 6 feet?

As for the rest, by the time Rajat does a Salman tomorrow in that Tarzan take off, there will be not a single viewer in the young, and even not so young female category who will give a hoot for all these uncomfortable questions. They will all be too busy ogling Rajat,😉 though I cannot imagine what he is doing with all that extreme bodybuilding exercises!

As for me, I am still pinning my hopes on his dumping Nandini is a muddy pool at least this time. 😆

Your last comment is spot on. Pehle khoon bhari maang, abhi paani haathon par!

Your guess was perfect. This visit was purely with the purpose of past revelations. 👏👏👏

But it was funny that the infrared eyes that could scan Chandra's face from such a distance in gloomy light amidst the dust of war, could noy scan through a beard and mole at such a close distance!

The height, general build, voice, nothing gave anyone a clue!😲 If the makeover was something like Chanakya's at Parvatak Rajya, it would'vebeen believable.

And the way the soldiers swooned as Chandra passed through them with the fainting smoke!😆 Couldn't the soldiers see/ hear the other soldiers fall!

Oh, like most guards anywhere, they would have been either busy gossiping, or looking in the wrong direction. But old man Chanakya does have a lot of pretty nifty concoctions, doesn't he? I am sure he had a poison cupboard too!

And what was Chanakya's purpose this time? To learn what was precious to Nand/ what his weakness was. Didn't he know it was Nandini from his previous encounters at Magadh and Parvatak Rajya?

Shatru ka sach jaanne aaya tha! What sach????🤔

And didn't RajPurohits have companion Purohits or helper Purohits to conduct an important function as this! Did Chanakya substitute the whole lot of them??? Wouldn't it have been sensible to send Chandra as an unobtrusive soldier/ worker like Dushyant? The whole purpose of Purohit swapping seems to be to make the water over Nandini's hands fall on Chandra's.

Ria,

I agree completely with you about Chandra and Helena. It is a novel, refreshing and very well developed relationship.

As I noted above, Chandra, now Chandragupta Maurya, is fast developing a very comfortable equation with his wife. Witness the way in which he takes her to meet his childhood friend, Durdhara, and announces, with placid amusement, that he has married her!

Nandini.. I do not know how she is going to be developed. I had high hopes of Shweta being able to go beyond the rather flat script for her thus far, but unfortunately, she has not been able to manage that. So now my hopes are pinned on her script improving. That is badly needed if that equation is not to become like a one-legged stool!

Chandra-Helena are obviously my point of interest in the show..true to say, till Helena's entry only Rajat's performance caught my eyes. Other's were not bad... But i can't say enough impressing when it goes to the point of characterization...
I truly feel that when comes to Chandra-Nandini... the makers are trying to express that as the battle of mind and heart which has turned out too old fashioned and dramatic for current day.. I truly feel that mind and heart are not different... they are just different perspective of human thoughts..
Coming to Chandra-Helena... they came up as something very different and unique... and true to say stronger than the so called amar prem bounds... they somehow knew each other's strong point and weak points really well and know how to make out the best of each other.. and the cherry on the top that these traits come naturally, not with some over emphasizing romantic angle... thats why it looks more realistic and they got a proper build up... I would really like to see Helena as one of the Chief adviser of Chandra along with chanakua after he gets the kingship... i really wish EK makes good use of helena's character and Chandra-Helena partnership... cause by far these two are my most favorite characters of CN nd just for these two I am watching the serial ignoring the weak points...

(Can EK maa listen to my prayers and change the serial name into Chandra-Helena...😆😆)

Chandra-Nandini on the other hand still didn't have any proper build up... They are just like the bickering school going child to me who gets annoyed and angry on each other for silly ego clashes... I do hope that once their story starts, it comes with proper build up... RT and Shweta both are good performers to me... they just need a proper build up that's all... and mostly Nandini's characterization should be improved...

Thank God for small mercies. And that Chanakya didn't send along some Confundus charm powder with Chandra.

All of them are long sighted!

I'd prefer the Thunderstorm Jalal or the Swayamvar Chandra anyday to Tarzan.😆 Rajat's biggeset pluses are his handsome face and his expressions and nuances. This rugged look doesn't suit him much. * Hiding from Anjali*

As for me, I am still pinning my hopes on his dumping Nandini is a muddy pool at least this time. 😆

Fingers crossed.😆

Well, my dear Mansi, I am not an AT kind of person, being too old to be a gushing admirer of anyone, even Rajat. I do dispassionate analyses, and if they are so warm in praise of one character, or actor, or the other, it is because I feel that they deserved it then.

But you go ahead and do it by all means. I think you will need the approval of the DT for that.

@bold... aunty, i do agree on that part... when i saw shweta in the very first promo I must say that i was quite impressed with the way she was represented...a shrewd lady with revengeful mind who wanted to get revenge from his husband. I had to confess that her over all presentation reminds me of a imaginary woman character from my one of the most fav historical story, Mrita Pradip (the clay lamp)... the female protagonist of that story, named Somdutta has been always been one of my fav female characters... She was shrewd, manipulative beauty but a faithful duty bound daughter of her father... everything which I admire in a character... the traits of true strong lady... who held her head high till the very end... (Sorry, my excitement took over whenever I talk about that story😆)... the best thing was that writer didn't tried to whitewash somdutta... She was very well aware about her father's whereabouts when she entered in enemy king Chandragupta's territory as her father's spy.(the story was set in early time of gupta dynasty..)... thats what i truly admire about her character that she was not plain STUPID or blind in her father's love... she was helping her father as a dutiful daughter but she was well aware about right and wrong..

Ohh how much I presume that Nandini is going to be Somdutta version 2!!.. I knew very well that having high hopes from EK story was not at all good... even I didn't have.. but at least expected Nandini not to be ignorant and blind in her father's love...When it comes to actual story what i saw... naa, Nandini is unaware of her father's true face and that leads to her hate towards Chandra for killing her father... In plain word Nandini's character was totally white washed... but if Nandini was gived a bit of maturity and true to say a bit of grey shades and shrewdness like helena then her character would get a different dimension and more interesting to watch..

And well I do hope that her character scketch improves... yes its true that professional actors had capability to act beyond script and draw the limelight but we are both experienced that how can a bad characterization and shaky script makes even an excellent actor look marred...

Another very thorough and sharp analysis Aunty 😊
I agree to your every point and observations made.

I loved Chandra's "Adam's apple bobbling" reaction in his wedding night scene...it was hilarious😆

As before I have said...I love Chandra-Helena chemistry and equation...and also the character of Helena is what truly is "nayi soch"..."God will help those, one who helps him/herself". She's not the girl with starry eyed waiting for her knight in shining armour, she is the one, who takes on her life reins and navigates it towards her goal. Helena here may be ambitious, revengeful or rather avengful, but she's not heartless...infact it is her emotions that had been wronged and thus, she takes her own responsibility and tries to do right by herself.

As against Nandini, who right now is symbolism of oppression and male chauvinism...her acceptance of life and situations refutes her so called advanced and moralistic thoughts.
She's just ANOTHER "wide eyed" lead heroine with lecture books to babble.

I would love to watch her crystal glass vision of her Pita Maharaja shatter to pieces and for Nand to be alive...but Alas!!!! promos already show it is not going to happen...what with expired dialogues about prem and all😡

The revelation about Chandra's origin could have been written better BUT his six-pack (or is it 8?) makes up for it...I mean oh!! my my 😳😳😳

After this revelation he will be fiercer than before because now he too will have an extremely personal angle to his vendetta for Nanda, like Chanakya and Helena...he'll be a force of nature to reckon with.

So I emerge from the bowels of the earth to check for PMs, and am thrilled to see that you've put up a fresh post :D Then I read the whole beautiful analysis ⭐️ When I reach the bottom, I see my half cent of a line has earned a special mention, which makes me react in the following manner:

Sorry, couldn't resist the temptation 😆 Yes, I promise, no more of this dramebaazi in the reply I hope to post upon my triumphant/crushed return 😆 Okay, a little dramebaazi may be expected 😉😆

Thank you, my dear auntyiii 🤗 Now I respectfully take your leave to go back to the netherworld 😈😆 Fare thee well until we meet again 🤗
