Interesting discussions going on. I still can't understand why the hell the makers chose Nandini against Chandra as female protagonist when there are already two wonderful women, especially Helena in his life perfectly complementing him. Does Nandini actually stand in front of the personality of Helena? It's pity to see her face in the banner of Nayi Soch campaign by Star Plus. When it is going to end? 😡
The same story could easily run with the name of Chandra-Helena, with idiot Nandini as a mere side character. 😆 But since the CVs are possessed by the idea of Hate-To-Love journey, they are bound to include a female character forcefully in this whole story, who will have all the so-called great mahaan qualities of TV soap heroines and will hate the male protagonist wholeheartedly at first and after some months will start dancing on his head!😡 So the exquisite characterization of Helena is bound to degrade herself in order to elevate the mahaan naari Nandini, who is going to teach Chandra the meaning of love and relationship!!😡 🤢
I am quite confused actually after watching Nandini yesterday! When she was introduced as a bubbly nonchalant girl, I imagined that OK, she is just a very common daddy's daughter, and like many ordinary daughters, she is not concerned about her father's deeds and is completely dependent on father; she has clear views about right and wrong, and she has placed her father in the place of man-per-excellence based upon that view without trying to know him. I had hardly thought that Nandini knows about Moora, and had an impression that the childhood confrontation with her, where Moora told her that she is captured by a demon, will leave a mark in her heart, and she will be able to feel Moora's pain with heartiest compassion of her natural humanity which will clash with her blind belief on her father...But Monday's and yesterday's episode told a different story. She knows about Moora, but does not know how her father has wronged with her and neither she wants to know the fact. It never raise a question in her mind that why a woman is captive and is tortured in her father's prison, and why she always rants on her son's arrival! A man enters in her room with blind rage and threatened her to kill her family to avenge her mother's humiliation, he insisted on how her father has tortured and tried to molest her from a long long time, and she keeps on listening with dumb head and did not even a question come in her mind that why this man is saying all these! Yesterday's episode was height where she loses the least humanity in her; meets Moora in prison and threatened her in such a cheap manner, clearing that not only she is blind in her father's love, but also she inherits all the qualities of her father!🤢 She is not only foolish, she is extremely cruel, arrogant and insensitive. Till yesterday I had an idea that she does not know anything about the autocratic reign of her father, but after yesterday it looked like she knows and she has every right to involve in royal acts, but she does not care as she believes that her father is always right. She has been brought up that way, and she is just as bad as Nand! As someone has raised her voice against her father, she thinks that she has every right to smash that head under her feet without even judging if he is right or wrong, just like her father does with all his citizens, and the way he killed the man in the 3rd episode who had protested to pay illegal taxes. The actress did no justice with the scene... rather she reduced the arrogant spoilt princess of the cruel ruler into a jhagrili irritating village girl by her acting and killed the least impact of the scene!!
I remember I found it pathetic when it was told in the first episodes of the show that the consequences of Nand's deeds will tell upon his daughter. I did not like the idea that Chandragupta will torture an innocent girl only due to his grudge on his father. But now it is looking justified, as Nandini is not an innocent daughter of her father, rather she is a reflection of her father, and it is not unbelievable if Moora and Chandra reminds Nand every time they encounters Nandini!
No idea how Chandra will fall for Nandini. Vice- versa can be possible, followed by a transformation of Nandini from Nand's arrogant daughter to the life-partner of Chandragupta Maurya... Nandini's characterization has to be broken from it's core, and then the crude to be rebuilt and reconstructed in Chandra's hand. She is a shapeless clay-pot now who needs to be broken first into the crude soil with the truth of her father, then to be purified in the fire of repentance, then to be constructed to a beautiful idol made of clay reconstructed by Chandra... But as it's a Hindi daily soap where only men can be changed, not the women as they can't be wrong, and already Star-plus and Bharatmata has certified Nandini as an ideal daughter and ideal wife, and it is already told that Nandini will convert Chandragupta to Mahaan Chandragupta with her love, what can we expect! After some months Chandra may repent to kill Nandini's fathers and to make her orphan and may fall on her feet!😆
