Btw, Dharma is a bit of a pain in the azz. It was a miracle she didn't stop Ashok from challenging Sushim to the mud-fight in the Rajakiya Vidyalay. (Speaking of which, is there a session break going on there? Nobody mentions it anymore).

She could have simply rushed in & told Sushim that Niharika sent her as she urgently needs Ahankara's help with the baby! Saving Ahankara and keeping out of trouble, but no - Dharma has to go and preach to Sushim! I guess she doesn't understand the meaning of lie low & keep out of sight!

I think more than not knowing to lie low, she is unable to be away from lectures. The other day during lakshagruha track she had to butt in defending Chanakya when the queens were discussing. And Bindu supported her- yes, C should be in high regards but he need not insult his queen in front of a dasi. Now which woman would be happy with such a husband who doesn't care for them anyway!

Btw IMO Charu and Noor are actually sympathetic characters. Yes, even the Kaali tantrika Charu. Their hubby is a half-wit with a perpetual Romeo complex, also he doesn't give two hoots about them. (One wonders how and why he copulated with Noor and Subrasi at all, presuming Charu had held his interest before he met Dharma).

Kaana, I guess CVs have shown Chanakya as ruthless or sharp as they can. It is the serial demand, they have to show us elaborate plots and the foiling of them. The bigger the plots and longer they are plotted the bigger the excitement at their foiling.

So CAS Chanakya has to be only this effective! If, like real one he starts smelling and stopping all the plots at start, what will CVs show us?! 😉😆

To be fair, they have shown Chankya smelling the new strange proximity & chumminess of Helena Mir and has started acting on it. Akramak on Mir's tail is good thing. Plus Akramak has old enmity with Mir.

I agree about the ineffective or rather MIA spy network. Ahankara & Helena meet often but nobody has a clue they are plotting together! Chankya also doesn't know the new proximity of Helena & Noor!

Precisely the point Maddy. For the serial and its plots sake Chanskya's real character is being compromised. That is my regret. If you look at him as a fictional character he is too good here. But knowing the history if him it is lil difficult to accept.

Look at the way Dharma behaves with him. Do you think the Chanakya we have read about will be begging her or in the first place will she even do this? And every other time blame is put on Chanakya and he has to justify his stand or keep quiet wanting for the opportune moment. Can you imagine Chanakya we know in history being taken for a ride like this? Many a time he is left wondering. whereas it shoukd ideally be the other way. Till date he is unable to declare Ashoka of Dharma - real Chsnakya would turn in his grave. And anybody is visiting anybody in the palace and still our man does not know - as we all agree his famous spy network compromised.

I agree with you, independently, off history, this Chanakya portrayal is good. Given history his character is diluted. Thd closer version of the Chanakya we have read can be seen in the DD Chanakya show. Next only even the raved CGM show's Chanakya. Maddy, if you have missed the DD version, its a must see. Abhay only recommended it. It's a delight - as history shown as history, no kitchen politics, family politics, no Mahaan heroines etc- it was crisp, to the point, plots around the kingdoms and bringing them together as Bharat. They did not try to paint him white. They showed him as is - invluding being ruthless. No silly feelings anywhere. Try it out if not already done.

But all said, I still like the CAS Chanakya, though disappointed about dilution.

Well said Krystal. Bindu has driven them nuts. How stupid of him to say that Dharma is his love and going about telling the world also. Especially when Subhrasri said about her insecurity, he still didn't have the brains or the heart to address that, but talk only of his live for Dharma. Dharma came later, still Charu never seemed to have his live, forget love, basic affection atleast.

Now, if Noor tells him, yes you are my king, but Justin is the king of my heart - would our dude like to hear it. And he fails as a father as well. I really wish Bindu was portrayed better.

I was trying to be kind to Dharma! She is rapidly becoming bumbling. Her constantly hovering around Mir & hiding behind pillars is so annoying. I hate it when she argues with Chanakya

I guess historicals CVs have this obsessive need to make their leads preachy & snow white goody goodies.
They have turned Dharma into Duh-rma!

Yes only after Dharma's killing Ashoka can go on rampage! Till then she will preach to Ashoka "Sushim aapke bade bhrata hai, aapko unka aadar karna chahiye agar wo koi bat gusse me kah de to usse unsuna karna chahiye, aapko unka samman karna chahiye!" 😆

I think we need Abhay to tell us timeline - Chankya - Dharma - Ashok's coronation - years
</font>

OMG! I didn't think of Dharma's Sushim bratha sanmaan lecture. Oh there is going to be an unleash of sermons after the truth is revealed. As queen She is not going to advise but my aadesh maanna also. She is going to advise Chanakya also to practise karuna to Helena. And death sentence as a punishment will be removed from Magadh Law book. All thiefs and murderers would be released in the name of ahimsa.
And the as it is buddhuram Bindu will become maha buddhuram, revelling under her guidance and glory. God save Magadh!
Sorry if I have offended anyone, but Dharma gets on my nerves. I wish Chanakya would keep her in seclusion and bring her out only at the time of the grand truth ceremony. This will help us also!

Thanks. I knew Ashoka became king in his 30s. If CAS follow the timeline then Dharma and Chanakya both won't get to see Ashoka become king.

Yes, it actually puts a blemish on the Great Lowe Story of DhIndu. Its okay for the guy to bed several women while supposedly 'loving' only one woman, but its a crime if the reverse happens. Comically pukeworthy.

Is it absolutely heartless to wish Dharma a speedy croak after spending exactly two weeks as Queen? I mean, let her taste the good life, wear gorgeous robes and heavy neck-and-head pieces, spend ample time in Bindu's bedroom, and then BAM!! A knife to her back just as she attempts her first lecture on "turning the other cheek".

Would love that.

ROFL, knife to her back when she starts her first lecture.
But dear friend, the time Bundu's room would be lectures too, don't expect a sibling for Ashok;-)
And we never know, it could be Bindu's own knife :-)))
