Hi everyone! I'm back with another chapter of Timeless. I'm so sorry that I couldn't upload it sooner, I was just so busy that I didn't have time. But I'm trying my best! Alright, here it goes!

Chapter 17:

M: Huh? Aur tum Kya kar ne waale ho?

S: Step 1: Trust

He walked over to their lesson, where he saw Afreen talking to her new friends.

S: Woh mujhe nahi pata, but jab time aayega toh trust toh usse karna hi hoga

M: Hmmm, yeh toh meri samaj ke bahar hain.

S: Manny my friend, don't put pressure on your brain

Just then the teacher walked in and Siddharth unwillingly walked over to sit next to Afreen.

Sir: Today, we will be learning more about Ashok's love. Many historians believe that she was incredibly beautiful and had eyes like pearls. Your task is to get into groups and act it out. The groups are, Afreen, Siddharth, Manjit, Shekher, Sumita and Priya... (next group)

Afreen froze on the stop, while Siddharth too was quite surprised, when he realised that his plan might work during this project. He smiled and looked at Afreen. Who looked back at him, confused at his reaction.
He gave his sweetest and a light tint of pink appeared on Afreen's cheek.
She looked away, deciding not to make any eye contact.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*

M: Okay guys, mere pas ek idea. How about we split the work? Eh?

The group had gathered together after school in the Library to think up ideas of expressing their presentation.

Sumi (Sumita): Haan, idea toh Accha

Sh ( Shekher): Haan... In fact hum pairs me ho jayenge

Pri (Priya): Yes, since Yaha ke girls costumes mein aur boys lines mein acche hain, toh girl-boy pair mein jo jayenge

S: Hey, tumhe kaisa pata ki boys lines mein acche hain?!

Pri: Oh please, Siddharth, maine tum jayse boys ko flirt karte ve kitne ki baar dekha!

Instantly, all the girls burst out laughing, while the boys just sat there pouting at such embarrassment.

A: Good one Priya

Pri: Thank you Afreen!

M: Okay okay, ab pairing kar sakte hain

Sumi: Fine, Siddharth tum pehle pick karo

S: Okay, mein pick karta hoon... Afreen ko

Afreen's eyes widened and she mentally face palmed herself, while the rest of the girls just giggled.

Sh: Okay, Ab meri baari -

A: Wait! Koi mujhse nahi poochega meri opinion Kya hain??

Pri: Oh come on Afreen, tum Siddharth ke sath paired ho, your very lucky!

A: Huh?

Priya rolled her eyes and excused herself and Afreen from the rest the gang.

A: Priya! Mein uss Mr Attitude ke saath kabhi work nahi kar sakti!

Pri: Afreen, tum SIDDHARTH ke saath paired ho

A: Haan toh

Pri: Toh tum one of the luckiest girls mein se ek ho

A: What?

Pri: Haan, Siddharth yeh school mein bohut popular hain because of his looks. Every girl uske saath kam karna chahegi.

A: Still... mein un girls mein se nahi hoon!

Pri: Okay fine, par Siddharth ne tumhe already choose karliya hain, no turning back sister.

Afreen sighed and nodded unwillingly.

A: Fine, but he better not annoy me!

Pri: Woh toh mein guarantee nahi kar sakti

The two giggle and head back to the group.

M: Priya, tum meri partner banogi na?

Pri: Haan, sure

Sh: Okay guys, ab late ho raha hain

Sumi: Haan, mein bhi ghar Chalti hoon, bye

Pri: Yes, bye

The group wave goodbye, heading their way home.

Afreen got home in her Dad's car. She rushed to her room, washing up, eating and deciding to do her homework.

After she had done her homework, she thought of doing something of the project. When something clicked in her mind. What role was she doing?
She took out her phone and texted her good friend Priya.

A: Priya, what role am I doing?

Pri: OMG!!! We completely forgot to do that.

Afreen sweat dropped.

A: So basically we forgot the main thing

Pri: In other words... yeah

A: Fine, let's meet up again tomorrow

Pri: Okay I'll inform everyone

A: Right then, good night

Pri: Sweet dreams

With that, Afreen switches off her phone and climbs onto her bed.
She recalls as to why did Siddharth choose her. But then shrugs it off.
Turning off her lights and shutting her eyes.

Siddharth smiled at the sunny morning, he rubbed his eyes with her palms and jumped out of bed.
He ate his breakfast, just when he was about to leave, his Mum stopped him.

Ma: Siddharth, Aaj ki news mein ek bohut khartarnak criminal yeh area mein hai. Abhi jail se bhaag ke hain. Be careful.

S: Don't worry Ma, I'll be fine!

On their way to school, Siddharth and Manny were talking about their plan of Afreen.

M: Toh plan Kya hai?

S: I don't know yaar, just winging it

The school day went by quickly, and Siddharth trying to be as nice as ever.
Which surprised Afreen alot and she just looked away.

After school, the gang went to meet everyone again.

Sh: Okay, so parts Abhi yeh hat mein meine dal diye hai

Pri: Okay

With that everyone picked out their parts.

Afreen unfolded her piece of paper, and sighed.

A: I've got Ahankara

She never liked being the centre of attention and yet she gets one of the leads.

Pri: Mujhe Mila Avantika

Sh: Siamak

Sumi: Shushim

M: Lucifer, uh, woh kaun hai

S: Ashok

He looked over at Afreen and smiled.

M: That's it, main beginning script write karunga, Shekher tum middle karna aur, Sid tum ending. Okay?

S&Sh: Okay

Sumi: And girls, hum apne partners aur apna costume design karinge, okay

Girls: Okay

With that everyone noticed that it was getting dark and decided to head home.

Afreen went over and stood by the school gates waiting for her Dad or Mum to pick her up.
Then he clicked to her. Her Dad had an important meeting in his office and couldn't make it.
Then she felt her phone vibrate.

Ma: I'm sorry Affi, hospital mein emergency hai, toh mujhe work karne jaana hoga, please walk home dear

Afreen sighed and replied with a alright I'll work home Mum.
She realised it had gotten really dark, and the fact that she had forgotten her way home. Still, Afreen decided to wing it and see.
Before Afreen could react, she had found herself in some shabby woods.
She looked around, realising she had gotten herself lost.
Oh great.
Then she heard footsteps approaching her way. Thanking god, she called out to them.

A: Um, excuse me, but Kya app mere help kar sakte.

It was really dark, so she couldn't make out who it was.

??: Haan dear, are you lost?

Afreen got a strange feeling in the gut, and decided that it would be best to just run away. She took the advantage of the darkness and ran. When she felt a tight grip around her shoulder. She tried to free herself, but the arms were too strong.

??: Kaha jaarahi ho jaanaman

Afreen screamed, when the force pushed her towards the ground.
That's when she saw. She was surrounded. By criminals...

Hi everyone, I thought that I should update another chapter, afterall, I did take a long time on the previous one.

Chapter 18:

Siddharth and Manny both walked upto their bikes, laughing on some jokes.

S: Ek second Manny, mujhe wapas jaana hoga

M: Par kyu?

S: Woh... bas kuch kam hai

M: Okay phir mein wait karta hoon

S: Thanks Yaar, but tumhe jaana chahiye, bohut dark hogaya hai

M: Thikhe phir, bye

S: Bye

With that Manny took off on his bike while Siddharth ran towards the school parking lot.
He looked around but couldn't find Afreen anywhere.
Sighing, he started to return towards his parked cycle, when he heard a scream.
That startled him a little, and he instantly recognised the voice.
He grabbed his bike and began following that voice. His heart beating really fast. Will Afreen be okay?

Afreen screamed again, this time more loudly. She realised there was no use. She had remembered her Mum warning her about some criminal that morning, however, she hadn't listened closely.
She felt a hand tightening around her shoulder. Just when she saw another hand grab onto the Man's neck.
She looked back, trying to see who it was. That's when she saw that person.
He was tall and handsome, with sharp features.
Afreen looked at him, as he kicked and punched the goons.
Eventually, after they had ran away, he looked at her.
His expression softened, and a glow formed in his eyes.

A: Thank you...

The boy smiled.

??: Tum... thik ho?

Afreen smiled back, nodding gently.

??: I'm Karan

He took out his hand, Afreen smiled and accepted it.

A: Afreen

Just then, one of the men brought down a bamboo stick onto the back of Karan's head. Karan clutched his head, groaning in pain as the men came and began punching and kicking him.

A: Karan!

Just then one of the men came and brought their bamboo stick high, ready to smash Afreen with it, when a familiar arm stopped it mid way. Afreen looked up to see him. Yes him. Siddharth.
He came in front of her, standing in her defence.

??: Aur tu kaun hai? Is ladki ka aashiq?

The man's eyes glowed with anger.

S: Main joh bhi hoon, tumhe Afreen ke pas aane nahi dunga!

With that, Siddharth pulled the bamboo stick, flipping the goon over.

He quickly went over to Afreen, who looked at him with tears streaming down her eyes.

S: Afreen, tum thik hona?

Afreen nodded, feeling her energy drown, and her eyelids grow heavy.

A: Siddharth...

Her voice drowned as she felt darkness overcome her sight.

Siddharth saw Afreen faint in his arms. He picked her up (Bridal style) and began running before any other criminal can attack them.
He knew where Afreen's house was, afterall he had been there before.
He knocked on the door several times, before a girl, possibly his age opened it. Without saying a word, he pushed past her and ran into Afreen's room. Laying her down gently, he turned around to find the girl staring at him with a shock and angry face.

??: Tum kaun ho?

S: Woh... um... mein... Siddharth hoon

??: Tum Afreen ke saath Kya kar raha the, dekho, mujhe sida sida batao nayto mein police ko bulaongi!

S: Woh... gunde, um...

He didn't trust this girl, who knows Afreen may not want to tell anyone what had happened.
Instead he saw Afreen's bedroom window open, and raced past her. Jumping out of there, climbing down the pipe as he covered his ears on the sound of that girl screaming.
He ran to where his bike was parked, and got onto it before rushing off home.
He knew his Mum would not like it when he came in so late.
But right now, he just wanted to get home where things would be safe.

Afreen opened her eyes to see her cousin Sanjana screaming out of the window.

A: Sanjana... mein... Yaha?

She rubbed her eyes, slowly coming to her senses.

San: Afreen! Tum thik ho!

A: Haan... Sanjana, mein Yaha kaise aiye?

San: Woh ek ladke ne tumhe Yaha leke aaya, don't worry Afreen, mein police ko bulati hoon

A: Nahi! Tum police ko mat call karo

San: Huh? Par kyu

A: Kyu ki uss ladke ne meri jaan bachayi

San: Kya?!

A: Haan, woh kuch gundo ne attack kiya tha, aur Karan and Siddharth ne meri jaan bachayi

San: Haan! Woh Siddharth ne tujhe idhar laaya tha

A: Siddharth... ne?

San: Haan, aur phir window se jump kar ke bhag gaya

Afreen giggled.

A: Woh definitely Siddharth hi hai

Then a thought struck Afreen. Why would Siddharth help her even though she knew he hates her. Anyways, she had to say thank you to him.
Maybe his not that bad of a guy...
