Chapter 2: Ahankara lay still, her body twisted and blood sprouting out. "Ahankara!" Ashok shouted, he collapsed next to her, his heart beating loud. "Please, open your eyes!" He cried, tears escaping from his eyes. Shushim stood there, he had killed her. Accidentally, but he killed her. "Move!" He pushed Ashok, who was already soaked in his tears. Shushim had to wake Ahankara up, otherwise he will get into huge trouble. "Ahankara, wake up!" He shook her violently. Ashok wiped his tears, his face streamed with anger. "You killed her!" He shouted, he pushed Shushim, and began punching. "I'll never forgive you for this!" He screamed. "Soldiers!" Shushim called, desperately. Two armored men charged in, pulling Ashok from Shushim. "Shushim! Don't be a coward, fight me!" Ashok shouted. He pushed the soldiers, and punched them so they were unconscious. He turned around to look at Shushim, but he had gone. Ashok clenched his fist. Then looked towards Ahankara, and his face softened. He lifted her up in his arms, and layed her down. "Ahankara..." He whispered. Tears dripped onto Ahankara's wound, and slowly it started healing. Ashok stared in astonishment. "Ashok," Ahankara softly whispered. "Ahankara!" He cried in joy, her hugged her. "Don't do that ever again!" He said. He felt her return the hug, and he realised what he had down. He slowly let go of her. "I'm sorry Princess," He apologised. "Ashok," Ahankara looked down towards the ground. "Yes?" Ashok asked. "Nothing," Ahankara shook it off. "Let me call the doctor," Ashok got up, when Ahankara grabbed his hand. He looked around. "Ashok, please stay near me," She pleaded. Ashok smiled. "I will always be near you, princess," He said. Ahankara just stared deep into his eyes. The distance between their faces was closing in, when just then Shushim barged. The two immediately parted away. "There he is!" Shushim pointed at Ashok. A few soldiers stomped in, grabbing Ashok and taking him. "Ashok!" Ahankara called, but her voice was low. She tried getting up, but the wound disallowed her. Shushim smirked. He looked at Ahankara. "If you dare say anything, then I will whip Ashok so much, that he'll die of wounds," Shushim threatened. Ahankara just stared. Ashok can't be punished for something Shushim did. She nodded. She knew she didn't love Shushim. No. But she only LIKED him. She was feeling something for Ashok. Something she never felt for Shushim or anyone else, one thing was sure. Ahankara was falling in love. With Ashok.
