Dabangg 3: Will show how Salman became Chulbul Pandey!
While promoting his upcoming Christmas release Dabangg 2, lead star Salman Khan also revealed a few details on the third film in the series.
"We have our third film (Dabangg 3) ready and it will go back and show how Chulbul Pandey becomes Chulbul Pandey (the corrupt police officer). If the second one becomes a hit, we can go to the third one, which is actually the first one. So Dabangg 3 will be a prequel" said Salman Khan.
The first film in the series, Dabangg directed by Abhinav Kashyap, was one of the biggest blockbusters of 2010. The lead cast ' Salman and Sonakshi Sinha ' will continue to play their respective roles.
When asked if Sonakshi has a role to play in the prequel, since Chulbul and Rajo first met each other in Dabangg, Salman said "There is a place for Sonakshi in Dabangg 3 as well. She is there, her father is there, but we don't meet."
With Dabangg 2 likely to open well and easily cross 100 crores at the domestic box office, Dabangg 3 is most likely to happen. It will be interesting to see the story behind the character of Chulbul Pandey, what made him the corrupt outlawed hero.

I pray for izzat, reveals Salman Khan

By Aakanksha Naval-Shetye | Place: Mumbai | Agency: DNAWith every film he touches turning into a superhit, actor Salman Khan is easily the man of the moment. And as we wait to catch up with the star for our quick chat, shouts of Salman's name reverberating across the road announce his arrival minutes before he actually cycles his way in. Settling down for a tete-a-tete with the superstar, as if sensing our question, he says, "Star? Superstar? For Salman Khan, Salman Khan is always Salman Khan and he still does the same things' still loves to cycle, hang out with friends, family, wants to work'"
So much talk about you, good and bad, does it affect you?
No. I know exactly who I am, so I don't need people to give me character certificates. Every Friday it changes yaar, but Fridays don't change who I am'
Has the excitement and anxiety of facing a Friday dimmed or increased over the years?
Well, no matter how hard you work, you still don't know what to expect on a Friday. There's no formula for a hit. Everyone still does their best and then waits for their Fridays to come.
And do you pray?
I do pray, but not for hits. I pray for izzat, ki izzat miley, people like my work. You know everybody has got their time. And the bad thing about good time is that it comes to an end too. So as long as you are well, that's fine. So I pray for health too.
The past few years have been good for you?
Very good yes, mashallah! I think I have been lucky with the films I've been getting and the genre I've been getting. I don't know how long the genre will last or what genre will go on from here..
But your fanbase moves with you'
I don't know what I have done, I mean I have never overtly done any PR exercise or anything. I believe they just see a guy who is very easily approachable. So, yes, I am happy and fortunate to have a loyal fanbase.
Do you believe in destiny?
100%. Dabanng's destiny decided Dabangg 2. Now, this film's destiny would decide what comes next.
From romance to action, what character do you identify the real Salman with the most?
There's a little bit of me in all characters and a bit of all my characters in me. So, there's a bit of Prem in me, a little bit of Radhe and Chulbul Pandey and all other characters I have played. I may be Chulbul or Tiger onscreen, but I never let myself forget that I am still Salman. I may play the character well, but I am not that.
You are close to completing 25 years in the industry'
I look back and it's been a beautiful journey. Though in a way nothing much has changed. I am still as anxious about signing a film like I was when I signed Maine Pyaar Kiya, still as excited as I was before its release and still as nervous about how well it will do. Life's been going on'
With the highs you have seen the lows too...
Yes, I have gone through it twice in my career, the secure and the insecure phases. The only thing is that when I go through insecure phase I don't feel insecure, I hike my price, work harder, don't panic and wait.
Everyone around you is married. Do you not miss that?
What, coming home to a wife and kids? How do you miss a feeling that you are not aware of (laughs). But nahin not yet.

Salman Khan's Rs 120 cr plot: Dabangg 2paying off already?
After reprising his role as Chulbul Pandey in two successive films, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is all set to become Dabangg, this time in real life. Word is in from sources in the real estate business that the actor has purchased a plot sprawling over nearly 14,000 square feet in Linking Road, Santacruz, which has an estimated value of Rs 120 crore.
Parthesh Developers inked the deal some time last month, and the plot will be registered as his property very soon. The superstar is likely to construct an office on the plot. The builder was initially tightlipped about the sale, only letting on that he had been in talks with the actor. "I am planning to sell the plot, but talks are on with many people and no money has been exchanged yet," insisted Nirav Shah. However, real estate sources operating in Bandra and Santacruz confirmed that the builder has sold the plot to Salman Khan, who has already made some part of the payment.
Yantrik Society, a ground plus three floors multi-storeyed building that housed 16 flats, occupied the plot earlier. Parthesh Developers bought the plot nearly two years ago, and the building was vacated and demolished in mid-2012.
"The builder had plans of erecting another multi-storeyed structure at the spot, but things didn't materialise and so he had put the plot up for sale and was looking for buyers who would purchase it immediately. Salman showed interest and even bought the plot. He now plans to construct a building that would be his office in future," revealed a broker.
The plot is situated on prime location, touching Linking Road. "It has good commercial value, which will increase once the structure comes up. The building can be up to 12 storeys high and a maximum FSI of 2.35 can be availed, which would involve TDR and fungible FSI," said another realtor.
Salman was unavailable for comment, and a source close to him denied the development.

Salman Khan: 'A film will cross the 300 crore barrier'
Salman Khan has said that he believes that a film will cross the 300 crore barrier.
The actor, who has scored several blockbuster movies including Dabangg, Ready Bodyguard and Ek Tha Tiger, said that he was confident that Dabangg 2 could reach the 200 crore mark, Bollywood Samachar reports.PA Images / Rafiq Maqbool/AP

"Let us touch 200 crore and then we will see about 300 crore," he said.
"Fan following increases, theatre prices increase so there's bound to be an increase in the collections as well. I know one thing for sure, in our lifetime, a film will eventually cross the 300, 400, 500-crore barrier."
Responding to a question about the world ending according to the Mayan calendar on December 21, the actor said: "I would request Santa to not end the world. Since Dabangg 2 is releasing, I would ask him to make Chulbul Pandey save the world from ending."
Khan reprises his role as Inspector Chulbul Pandey in the forthcoming sequel to the hit. The character is said to be even more violent than he was in Dabangg.
Also starring Sonakshi Sinha, Prakash Raj, Vinod Khanna and Arbaaz Khan, Dabangg 2 releases on 21 December.
