I love the Secret Santa idea - perhaps not in September since we’re already (sort of) reading books suggested by someone else this month. But I might use it later smiley9

I have read plenty of books with Disabled MCs but doing a focused read this month was great! I too am looking to read more with this theme.

Now onto September. Any suggestions for a theme? Else it will just be a regular RC smiley36

There are a surprising number of food-focused days in September, so maybe something food-related? Could books about chefs, cafes, etc. (lots of room for creativity there!!)

Congratulations to Shibz, Bee and Team Ability Alliance for your wins!

Off to stalk all the logs now to dig up some more Disability themed reads - this theme was a real eye-opener for me and ngl, pretty proud of my 4K odd pages in what has otherwise been a shitty month.

I lifted books off you and Shreya for this one.🤣

Lol so did I. I lifted your thrillers & Lizzie's disability themed books. Ngl, I love this arrangment smiley36 whenever I feel like I'm running out of books, all I have to do is peep into someone else's logsmiley37

Idk I think themed reads are nice. I’m reading books I maybe normally wouldn’t and that’s a good thing otherwise we all get stuck in a comfort zone and that can get boring too. And anyways there’s no pressure - you can either choose to read them or not smiley9 they aren’t mandatory smiley9

But yeah maybe a break will be nice too

I feel themed is more fun when it's once in a while rather than every month.smiley36
