Northanger Abbey ! Isn't that book amazing. It made me want to read Udolpho.
You should read Emma. It's really a masterpiece, and the characters feel so real with flaws and all, especially the heroine emma herself. And the plot twist in the end...oh! They say the book doesn't have much action compared to P&P, and may be that's true, but I wasn't for a second bored. But see how you like it. Do read it :)

Sure. I'll read. 😊

I didn't know about the movie(Becoming Jane) or Tom lefroy..interesting...Had to Google, to know more about them.
Thank you for sharing this news 😳

Though I loved Emma, my fav would always be P&P. It was the first ever novel I read, and fell in love with the genre and with reading. I have even read her letters :P
Have you watched the movie 'Becoming Jane'? I read that the character Darcy is inspired from Tom Lefroy ( The boy she loved in her twenties )

yep i understand. The novels we read first are difficult to get out of head. It's just like the difficulty in forgetting the first love... hehhe.. Ok, regret for such absurd comparison.
No i havent watched the movie. I'm not much of a movie person.. But since you have suggested I'll go through it.

Have read only Emma and P&P but love the both to bits...love Mr. Darcy and Mr. Knightly, though frankly not so fond of Emma as a character
P&P is one of my fav novels...have read it multiple times...frankly lost count! 😊

Gosh!
I never heard of so many titles in her name!
Frankly speaking, I had on and off heard Pride& Prejudice's name and only got to know about Jane Austen last year in my history book (the chapter traced the evolution of novels and their effect on the society)
Then I had a lot of people pushing me to read Pride & Prejudice and that's where I started Jane Austen...
I'm still reading Pride and Prejudice...reached chapter 20 today...and I think it's amazinggg!!
Although I have to admit that I have already been exposed to two remakes of this masterpiece and I'm a bit aware of this story...I have seen Bride and Prejudice (Indian remake...its superb) and The Lizzie Bennet Diaries...I so love Pride and Prejudice!!
Gosh, so much praise for Jane Austen...I have to say that I need to start my association with her work!
PS- From whatever I have read and known...is it that each book by Jane Austen has a Jane in it??
