If our audience is so used to seeing goody-two-shoes then they wouldn't have appreciated Kajol in Gupt. So such arguments don't even stand a chance.

Deepika hardly did anything in OSO, all she did was dance (very well) and stand around, she didn't have many dialouges in the film itself. But however small the character was, she played it well.

Sonam's character was different, you may not agree with me but many others do. In my opinion she is a good actress and she has proved that with her first film......She made her character look so innocent in the begining of the film, but as it continues you realise that there is more to her i.e why she became friends with Raj, how she used him, how she fell in love with a stranger at just one glance

Kajols role in Gupt was negative but she was the villan in the film.....something that is not repeated all the time, just like sonam's.

No yaar😆. Only you and I were active since morning so met in two different threads. I also had lot of time today😛 . I am not going to comment further because I have said all I wanted to say already.

The impact of Deepika's debut is for all to see so what if few chooses to ignore it or even try to downplay, it doesn't negates the fact that she made such a massive debut.

If I go further it would be just for the sake of argument as I am already doing because the truth is Sakina's character is equally dear to me and I thought Sonam was fabulous. So I don't wish to go further.

I fail to understand why Deepika or Sonam's success has to be measured in comparison to the other.

Deepika hardly has enough movie's on her graph to be "rated," as someone said, and I can't agree more with Maya, when she says that its the media tracking her every move that is more than half the hype around her.

She is soo overrated, thats why I dislike her
