Personally I have seen Black a good number of times...N so I remmebr almost all its scenes😆 in the scene we are talking abt...we see Michelle asking T whether he "loves" her...A questioned that had been answered Mutely ll the preceding years but still she had asked him that question and at that time from it its clear what kind of a love she was talking abt...the love of a man to a woman...and she asks him to kiss her...and he tries to push her off refusing...how did he take "ADVANTAGE"!😕😕😕 and its coz he loved Michelle for he had given his life to teach her live life that he gives her "that moment of bliss" (Haila Dostoevsky I love that line u know! I cant imagine life without ur books!!!😆😳)...N the next scene we see Michelle sitting with a letter of Debraj...she says that in the one moment u gave me the honour of being a woman, u fell in front of ur own eyes..."

SLB couldnt have made it clearerr...

As I said I know the reasoning behind that entire scene but given the age difference between the two and more importantly, the guru-shishya relation they shared, I couldn't make myself agree to it.

After this Aamir controversy I am planning to watch Black again😆 so probably will try to understand and justify the scene.

well knowing the reason but unable to accept it... 😉 nyways that is one's own view...but the age difference shudnt have mattered for a nuetral viewer...SLB wud be truly shattered if he hears that(as if he needs any more of that after what he is facing after Saawariya!) 😆 😉

I know. She has not experienced any such emotion. Did SLB make their relation clear? Was it purely guru-shishya? or did they have more than that? I have watched it once and I am really not sure now.

i loved the movie black and that moment of rani and amitabh was so emotional. its shattering to see a lady suffering physically and emotionally. when i first watched the scene, i also felt weird and i raised the same question as you did. somewhere right on this forum someone explained that amitabh, being the only person she interacted with completely her whole life and who understood her language, was the only one who could make her see the other side of the world. thats when i was able to digest the fact.

SLB has always maintained that Black is a love Story he calls it his best Love Story n I have to say I agre completely...
Recall the scene when Michelle extends out her hand to Debraj and together they put their hands over the Braile Textbook...and then suddenly he takes off his hands from under hers...there itself u can see the answer..One may interpret it according to herself/himself... the love of a teacher and a student isnt the case here...Coz this isnt Normal teacher and student...Debraj is the only man in the world who understands Michelle and what goes thru her...and that is the bond b/w them...a bond which is the purest form of Love..

Oh,I assure you I didn't invite you😆..I merely posted the link in both threads for the sake of those who haven't probably read the other interview and thus might be a bit lost...Having an argument/debate with you wasn't premeditated,and unfortunately it's not something I enjoy either..I'd have much rather preferred people not taking offence because of personal opinions on celebrities....😊

Exactly! I just mentioned earlier that I need to watch Black again to understand AB's character. I think I understood Michelle but failed to understand Debraj.

well Michelle's character is easier to understand and relate to...Debraj is just eccentricity at its best! 😆 😉 But guess who proved to me that Eccentricity is the simplest thing in the world!? 😳 😉 Dear Rodia!!!😳
