He is right there. But then does he agree to the part in Fanaa where parents happily accept their blind young girl roaming around with a stranger in an alien place and also falling in love with him? I think it is easier to analyse someone else's work than one's own.

All said and done Aamir is a brilliant actor. No doubt about that. Am looking forward to TZP, with or without controversy😊. The subject is very close to my heart.

Tch Tch,why are you getting rather hot under the collar...šŸ˜•...If you don't want to be quoted, then I'm afraid you shouldn't be posting in a public forum...You can't expect not to ruffle any feathers after being unreasonably judgemental about a star based on hearsay...Words such as "hypocrite, stealer" etc are rather harsh and serious, fans of Aamir would defend him when someone sl*gs him off....If you can't stand the heat, don't get into the kitchen <SHRUGS>..And yes, reiterating,in futue,I wouldn't bother quoting you.....I come to public forums to unwind, not to pick up fights...😊

Uh ho! when I saw the word 'personal' in caps I thought you were feeling the heat. šŸ˜› .Thanks but no thanks to your unsolicited advice.

BTW you quoted me with links and invited me to the discussion. Thanks for that honoršŸ˜‰. I enjoyed it.

I know, but that's not the right way. I work with intellectually disabled people in Canada and over here, that manner of teaching would never be accepted. But again cinema gives you the liberty. Having said that Black was a wonderful film, and so was Khamoshi, but yes parts of Black such as hitting the girl, and the kiss were not needed.

Yes agreed but partly. I have been hit by my parents when I was really young. If a child is being unruly it may not be ok to hit in western standards but it's a common practice in our culture. And I thought the kiss was fine...you could see Michelle's physical suffering! I thought it was beautiful.

aha yahi kha maar gaye na hum sab 'intellectual' log!šŸ˜† The Kiss was the most beautiful and soulful moment in the movie...The movie Black wasnt abt this eccentric alcoholic teacher teaching the deaf blind dumb girl..It was a love Story...It was also abt the girls's feelings and longings...When Debraj tells her how her sister and husbadn kissed in the lips during the wedding, did u happen to notice the expression on Michelle's face? It was the crashing truth that she will never have such a moment in her life...and that was why the kiss was the most beautiful moment in the film...really I am out of words to describe Black..A one time expreiance it is...šŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ‘

AS for beating children up...well at the beginning of the movie itself its said by Debraj "There is a difference between a teacher and a magician!"

PS: Aamir , one more word of such nonesense N I will set my Brett on u!šŸ˜³šŸ˜‰

I thought we agreed on that on another thread 2-3 weeks before and still you have quoted me on various occasions. But let this pact be final. 😊 I come here to have fun too.

PS: All said and Done, I like Aamir's acting, But I wish HE wud stop This kind of manipulation...

I think I need to go back and watch Black again. I have been meaning to do that for a while now. I feel I have watched it only once and that's not enough to understand an SLB movie. My first impression was that he was overacting and now that you say that his character was about this very eccentric person, I can see why he acted the way he did. I need to watch Black again. Period.

That is one thing which I couldn't digest either. I understand that there was a reason for that kiss yet it looked like an elderly taking advantage of a young girl. I have thought about it to justify this part but never succeeded.

But come on Maya...it may look like that...but it was Michelle who asked him to kiss him...you have to look beyond the age...and delve into Michelle's suffering.

well That was no reason one can hammer into sumone...It has to be understood on its own...But "an elderly taking advantage of a young girl"???šŸ˜•šŸ˜•šŸ˜• I really didnt get that point...

Personally I have seen Black a good number of times...N so I remmebr almost all its scenesšŸ˜† in the scene we are talking abt...we see Michelle asking T whether he "loves" her...A questioned that had been answered Mutely ll the preceding years but still she had asked him that question and at that time from it its clear what kind of a love she was talking abt...the love of a man to a woman...and she asks him to kiss her...and he tries to push her off refusing...how did he take "ADVANTAGE"!šŸ˜•šŸ˜•šŸ˜• and its coz he loved Michelle for he had given his life to teach her live life that he gives her "that moment of bliss" (Haila Dostoevsky I love that line u know! I cant imagine life without ur books!!!šŸ˜†šŸ˜³)...N the next scene we see Michelle sitting with a letter of Debraj...she says that in the one moment u gave me the honour of being a woman, u fell in front of ur own eyes..."

SLB couldnt have made it clearerr...
