Mr.Bachchan got National Award for Black. 😆 No wonder Aamir stopped talking about national awards.

I dont think he is intellectual or anything...but I do think he is meticulous and flawless actor...his idiosyncracies nonwithstanding...I cannot find fault with his acting in whatever he is has done so far...unlike the rest of the great actors we have today! 😃

Yes,he's talking about Big B's "performance in the film"...Not about AB,the person, or his choice of films or any such thing....Whilst AB's comments a ka "maybe it went over his head" etc are derogatory and snarky,Aamir's comments were confined strictly to the performance!

About the National awards,Aamir has always maintained that just because he doesn't like something,it doesn't necessarily mean that it is bad....If you've read his blog,there was a huge debate on the film Memento,which is incidentally the film on which Ghajini is based...Aamir opined that he didn't like Memento but was impressed with the Tamil adaptation....He also stated that his not liking Memento doesn't make it a bad film,analogously,his opinion that AB's performance was over-the-top doesn't connote that it should be universally panned!!Personal opinions are not universal opinions.

It is very clear. One goes to any length to defend their favorites😊. We can go on and on about the "intellect" Aamir but that doesn't change the fact that the recluse comes out of his shell to publicize his film by making some controversial comments about in- thenews director and controversy prone Mr.Bachchan. His comments about using disability in Black clearly shows what a hypocrite he is! It is clear for anyone to read without any discussions.

I didn't like the film. I found it very insensitive, it sends out very wrong signals. It was extremely manipulative. I could see the effort in the manipulation, and the art of the director is in not letting you see the manipulation. Also, the sensibility wasn't right for me, I couldn't make out if they were living in a house or a museum or a library or a church. The performances were over the top. And most importantly, it was about a child who had these problems, an alcoholic person comes and says you have to leave her alone with me for forty days, and he slaps her around. I don't know of any parent who'd agree to that. Black reminded me of The Taming of the Shrew, and I found that very disturbing. It was a film about 'I can teach a bear how to dance'.

we;ll SLB U shud really have taken the leaf out of Aamir's movie Fanaa(I know it came later..But why didnt u wait yaar! why make such an Insensitive and manipulative movie?!)😉

SLB u really shud have made Michelle Dance and have fun n stuff and not shown the thorns of her path...she cant see, hear and talk,...but It was soo insensitive of u to show her suffering man!!! N where were they living..call it a house?! It seemed kinda a dreamland..U know Saawariya-ish!😉

I am not interfering..But I wud just like to add that AB didnt react at this as if Aamir hurt him the person...it was the actor in him which reacted...first and foremost he is an actor and Aamir says that he went over the top in his best ever performance, in a role which demanded eccentricity to the core, how can u say he is taking it personally??😕

Fanaa was truly a piece of art. One man terrorism show. So much reality. I am sure only an intellect can do such a film. The lead actor in a film like Fanaa has every right to voice his opinion on Mr.Bachchan's over-the-top performance in Black.

^^Well obviously 😃 ,as a fan,I consider it my prerogative to defend my favourite...But I like to believe that my defense has some rationale and is not plain jabberwocky...

Please do not pass off your opinions as facts!Anything and everything we state are merely our PERSONAL opinions,not universal facts...The recluse crawling out of the woodwork to publicise the film is perfectly acceptable,what's wrong about that??...

It's easier to make accusations,harder to defend them..Whilst I agree that no one here is answerable to anyone,it must be accepted that when one posts in public forums,one cannot expect NOT to be contradicted by others...Public forums are meant for discussions

^^Of course..but when contradicted...U defintely feel like rebutting 😉 and who here wants his intelligence to be questioned? we all feel we have the point right!
