No offence, but SRK definitely isn't the most versatile actor of bollywood. SRK is only famous for his lover boy image, and there is no doubt he plays the lover boy roles very well. But when I think of versatile actors the names that come to my mind are definitely: Aamir Khan, Ajay Devgan, Anil Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt (to a certain extent) and Amitabh Bachan.

😆😆😆 Did SRK play a loverboy in Swades, Paheli, Baazigaar, Darr, KANK? Even in movies like Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa, he was portrayed more as an antihero/loser, not the typical filmi lover boy.

At least he doesn't have to depend on 'jadoo' to be successful. 😆😆

If an actor is famously known for certain roles, that does not imply that they're not versatile. They're just more well-known and liked in certain roles. Big B is famously known as the 'angry young man' but that does not mean he's not a versatile actor.

If we're really gonna talk about truly versatile actors, then lets also name actors like Naseeruddin Shah, Atul Kulkarni, Kay Kay Menon, Boman Irani and Ifran Khan. They're probably more 'versatile' than the star actors of Bollywood.

The late Sanjeev Kumar, another incredibly versatile actor! 👏

so for me its srk, saif, vivek, amir, akshay kumar and ajay devgan!

Well said! 👏

Ahhh, Vivek's career was going great after films like Company, Road and Saathiya. He was on his way to becoming one of the prime actors of Bollywood but unfortunately, his career went downhill.

Almost every Bollywood has an element of romance. In that case, every actor is playing a loverboy in almost every movie. 😆😆

Paheli was more of a fantasy film, in case you haven't seen it.
KANK - SRK was not a loverboy, even SRK fans didn't like him as Dev, the antihero!

In Darr, SRK was playing a stalker, who loved Kkkkiran. In Baazigar, he was basically a vile villian in the disguise of a loverboy!

yes U are right..he was tagged as the angry young man but why??? thats thats whats confusing...he has never limited his roles to AYM roles...he did melancholy, dramatic, intense, romantic, gangster, policeman etc etc etc....So why was he tagged so...he ws unfairly tagged as AYM. He wasnt well known just for Trishul or Sholay or Shakti etc. He has done Parwana, Abhimaan, (all Hrishikesh Mukherjee films for that matter), Aanand, Kabhie Kabhie, Silsila, A^3, Don, The Great Gambler, DADP, MKS, Deewaar, Namak Halaal, Sharaabi, Agneepath, Hum aur najaane kitne different roles...aur aajkal toh see Aks, Ankhen, Black, Sarkar, KANK, BnB, Viruddh, Eklavya, Nishabd and if the forthcoming films are anything to go by, it will just make him, almost impossibly, emerge as a better actor.

N SRK hasnt done many different roles...Yes SWADES was just fabulous...A film I actually LOVE srk in and I really do mean it👏👏👏 It was a fabulous film (SRK'S best till date). But see that fil flopped. In Baazigarr that was a different role and Darr was different but that was before he was established as such a megastar. KANK wasnt loverboy??? He did no justice to the role. KHKN was a loverboy role=LOSER+LOVERBOY. He sells mostly as loverboy roles no wonder he is tagged so.

But I do agree there...those above mentioned actors are really very very versatile...I wud add Paresh Rawal to the list too.
