Abhi-Ash head to London to attend the premiere of Provoked
Don't be surprised if you see Abhishek Bachchan sticking to fiance Aishwarya Rai at various events in the days to follow. If sources are to be believed daddy dearest Amitabh Bachchan has now directed Jr Bachchan to spend some quality time with his ladylove before they tie the knot on April 20. No wonder they almost ate from each other's hands at the Nitin Desai Studios recently, when both were shooting for their respective films.
The couple who had stationed themselves at Malaysia over the weekend headed for London this morning. They are set to make an appearance at a show-shine premiere of Provoked tomorrow evening at the prestigious Empire Theatre, Leicester Square. Jag Mundhra, director of the film informs, "Aishwarya and Abhishek are going to grace the premiere. They are going to be the main attraction I believe. Our producer has made some special arrangements for their comfortable stay." A source close to the Bachchan family further adds, "After their wedding news hit the headlines the makers of Provoked were very keen on having the couple at the London screening. They had invited Abhishek and he readily agreed. In an effort to keep pace with their hectic schedule they hardly get to spend time together. This London trip is a welcome change."
However, critics believe that the couple's appearance is a strategic move. A reliable source reveals, "People are keen on tracking down the movement of the couple rather than the film. With Ash and Abhishek hogging the limelight other celebrities including Nandita Das and AR Rahman are hardly going to get noticed."
Coming back to their Malaysia jaunt the couple hardly spent any time at the hotel. They were out and about at malls, amusement parks and casinos.
The couple are reportedly, going to stay back at London for a day before they come back and resume their respective work schedules. Also, they have postponed their script narrations and endorsement meetings till the time they tie the knot. -mumbaimirror
