First of all, why did Deepika even consider Vanga’s project? I mean, none of the female actors in his films have seen any significant revival or positive change in their careers. Triptii was reduced to just a glam doll. Rashmika gained popularity among Hindi-speaking audiences after Pushpa, but Animal didn’t bring any drastic shift in her career. The actresses in his movies are merely props to elevate the male characters' masculinity.

In Gehraiyaan, there were intimate scenes too, but the character had depth,she wasn’t just a sex object.

Also, what exactly is the story that Deepika supposedly leaked? If anyone has actually seen the leaked storyline, please share it. All I’ve seen are articles quoting that Deepika wasn’t happy with the character offered to her due to some bold scenes. That sounds more like a PR-generated article. But what was actually disclosed? Bold scenes are pretty much a given in all of Vanga’s films,so is it really a surprise?

That said, I’m disappointed with Deepika’s choice of films lately. If she and her team could focus more on filmmakers like Shoojit Sircar, and be flexible with remuneration based on a film’s overall budget, her fans could actually see her in a substantial role with a meaningful performance.

But these days, it feels like she’s mostly chasing money and somewhere along the way, she's lost that creative drive. Other than Pathaan, I haven’t watched a Hindi film in theatres for more than four years. That wasn’t the case earlier. Directors like Vanga have really spoiled the mainstream movie-watching experience. Most mainstream Hindi films today are either remakes or feel like classroom experiments for the nepo kids.

I suppose that Deepika got told that Prabhas has suggested her to Vanga (with whom she had worked already)...so, probably, she at least wanted to hear about the role...the rest is only told by Vanga bashing her...after she declined to be part of the movie...
